"Come on!"
Austin made a dash towards Atticus. His fighting spirit had been aroused.
An opportunity to take on a governing god was a rare occurrence, and he wanted to savor it.
A governing god's fighting will and strategy, as well as his mastery and application of the laws were at
such an elevated level that most creatures couldn't even dream of reaching that place. Austin was
aware of this fact. He also knew that a chance to fight Atticus would prove knowledgeable for him. That
would be a huge boost to his repertoire.
Also, he had recently made up his mind and was now looking for an opportunity to break through and
become a genuine premium-grade divine god.
Hence, a battle of such high tension was exactly what he needed.
Atticus was alarmingly powerful.
Every single one of his moves would shatter the chaotic void around him and cause several explosions
to erupt in his vicinity.
As a governing god, he possessed infinite power. Austin could not hope to match his strength and he
was well aware of this fact.
He felt that gap in his strength even more strongly when he was hit in the chest.
A hole appeared where the blow had landed, and blood began gushing from it like a warm geyser. The
horrific wound was large enough for his heart to be visible through it.
Fortunately, Austin's body was stronger than that of a governing god.
Within an instant, the wound healed itself, and the hole in his chest disappeared.
"Brat, I hadn't expected your physical strength to be so incredible. You are something, I'll give you
that... But it doesn't matter.
You are not a governing god.
And you are not qualified to be my opponent.
I am stronger and more experienced than you are. In fact, I was nothing short of what you are at your
age," Atticus remarked coldly.
As he spoke, he launched numerous violent attacks on Austin, forcing the latter to step back.
Austin himself went all out in this fight.
He didn't say anything in response to his opponent's remarks since he knew what Atticus was saying
was all too true.
'Although I am stronger than most people, there is still a tremendous gap between a governing god and
me in terms of strength. Moreover, the governing gods of the Sea of Chaos were remarkably talented
cultivators even when they were young. At this age, Atticus is almost undefeatable,' Austin thought to
himself.
And his musings were true. Shortly after the start of the battle, he sustained severe injuries one after
another, and his entire body was painted scarlet with fresh blood.
Fortunately, he managed to survive each of his opponent's blows thanks to his incredible physical
strength.
As his wounds healed, he struck back by throwing a punch at Atticus.
His fist emitted a dazzling original energy essence of the star as it traversed the gap between towards
the man.
At the same time, Austin didn't defend himself at all, letting his opponent hit him as much as the latter
wanted to.
Atticus was an experienced fighter, and he knew all the right places for delivering fatal blows.
He went in for the coup de grace by hitting Austin with his palm, which shattered the latter into several
pieces.
However, one half of Austin's broken body was still waving a fist at Atticus, and it approached the
latter's head.
Atticus sensed the incoming blow.
He turned his head to one side to dodge the fist but not completely. It hit his left ear.
With a dull thud, his ear exploded, taking along a part of the skin around it.
Atticus let out a snort, and his face looked a little gloomy. Half of it was covered in blood and he looked
like a ferocious hunter.
He had just suffered a wound while fighting a young man.
This was a source of great humiliation for him.
The other governing gods also felt a complicated emotion run through their nerves as they watched the
fight.
Austin had shown himself to be remarkably powerful. His name was already well known throughout the
Sea of Chaos.
Before today, these governing gods still thought little of him even after hearing legends that surrounded
him. They were totally convinced that he could never be on par with them.
But just now, Austin had injured Atticus, someone who had been a governing god for a very long time.
And even though Atticus had suffered a minor injury, it still meant one thing that Austin had the
capability to wound a governing god.
This meant that he was a potential future threat to them.
"Go to hell!" Atticus shouted as his embarrassment fueled his anger.
Nine huge dragons dashed out from between his eyebrows and rushed towards Austin.
Each of these dragons had been formed by tremendous amounts of spiritual soul energy, and they
possessed a terrifying fighting power. They could fatally damage their target's spiritual soul on contact.
"Come on!"
Austin shouted and charged at the giant dragons. He seemed unfazed from this new attack.
The truth was, if Atticus had attacked him with some other form of energy, Austin might have been
forced to dodge it.
But this was a spiritual soul attack and Austin was not afraid of those.
His spiritual sense was no weaker than a governing god's and his spiritual soul energy was equivalent
to one as well.
The sphere of spiritual sense inside Austin's Soul Sea sensed the attack and began rotating rapidly as
it released an overwhelming amount of spiritual sense of its own.
This spiritual sense morphed into nine simple pots that came out and flew towards the dragons Atticus
had released.
Moreover, the spiritual treasures Austin had in his Soul Sea including the spiritual tree, the spiritual
heart, the spiritual dragon and the Chaotic Ice Lotus also unleashed spiritual sense energies of their
own. Together, these energies combined and formed a tornado that rushed towards the opponent.
Austin didn't flinch. He and Atticus were evenly matched in terms of spiritual sense.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
This encounter was especially destructive, and it disintegrated whatever was left of the nearby void;
smoke billowed and filled the space around them as far as the eyes could see. It looked like doomsday
had arrived earlier than anticipated.
And within that incredible battle, the duo went dozens of rounds against each other in a matter of
moments.
Their moves were so blazingly fast that it was difficult to capture them, and only a few flashes were
seen by the audience.
The outcome, as expected, was not in Austin's favor, who was forced to retreat after several back-to-
back injuries. His clothes were crimson by his running blood and he seemed to be in a horrible
condition.
And yet, no witness to this battle was laughing at his loss.
For a genuine medium-grade divine god to fight a governing god and survive so long was a rare and
impossible feat. But it also meant that he was going to lose soon, which was what happened.
Soon after the dragons were gone, Austin's body was finally broken into pieces by a powerful blow
from Atticus.
The four important spiritual soul treasures inside him instantly escorted his spiritual soul away to keep
him safe. Meanwhile, his spiritual soul used the Secret Reincarnation Skill so that they could move
faster.
At the same time, the twelve zodiac animals showed up beside Austin.
"Austin, let us help you!" they shouted.
They had been there this whole time.
However, Austin had told them not to come to his aid since he wanted a fight with a governing god.
They were jumping into the battle ring now because Austin's life was at stake.
"Atticus! You can't get away this time!"
The other governing gods dashed forward as well and closed in on their target.
In the span of just a few seconds, Austin regained his flesh and then he glanced at the governing gods
coldly.
'When I was fighting with Atticus, they deliberately did not attack him.
Obviously, they wanted Atticus and me to fight.
I bet they were hoping that I died at his hands after which, they could take care of him on their own.'
Austin became warier of these governing gods at the thought.
"There is no escape for you, Atticus.
Stop resisting,"
one of the governing gods loudly declared.
Atticus was getting slightly desperate now.
He knew the odds were against him if he tried to run away.
A few moments ago, his plan was to get past Austin and escape, something which he'd thought to be
very easy.
It hadn't been in his plans to be held back by Austin. Now, things had gone terribly south for him.
Boom!
A dozen governing gods then launched all kinds of the most terrifying and powerful attacks on Atticus
simultaneously.
There was no denying that Atticus was a governing god and therefore, infinitely strong. But in the face
of the joint attacks of so many masters of his own level, he began losing his ground soon.
