The Supreme God Chapter 5026 Escaping From The Plateau

The ice wolf king was still too far from Austin to be able to stop him.

It simply roared in its displeasure when it saw him breaking through the barrier the other wolves had

formed.

They grew more violent when they heard the terrifying growl of their leader. They ran faster than it

seemed possible, chasing Austin down with all they had.

They were already very fast under normal circumstances. Now, with the urgency of the wolf king, their

acceleration was horrifying to behold.

The rolling pack of black ice wolves ran after Austin with astonishing pace, the void shuddering

violently underfoot.

"They're absolutely insane!"

They were close behind him. Austin could not help but shake his head and sigh, the hairs on his neck

standing.

He was being backed into a corner and took out a teleportation rune, activating it without thinking even

a second longer.

A strong teleportation energy wrapped around him and sent him flashing ahead lightning quick.

His body instantly disappeared, as if he had never been there.

A moment later, he appeared miles off from the pursuing ice wolves.

But the laws in the Frigid Continent were different from those in the outside worlds.

The teleportation rune's capacity was limited here, and he was only able to teleport a distance far

shorter than usual.

Even still, the ice wolf king roared furiously when it saw that Austin had teleported away.

The massive pack of wolves that had been chasing him were desperately disappointed too.

"You bastards will never catch me again,"

Austin snapped, sneering.

He then retrieved a second teleportation rune and activated it. Once again he was wrapped in a strong

teleportation energy and catapulted far forward. It seemed he had finally truly rid himself of those ice

wolves.

At the same time...

Anakin, Cayden and the water source beast had slowed down, constantly looking over their shoulder to

see what was going on behind them.

They had just seen Austin being surrounded by countless ice wolves, fighting as best he could. They

were quite concerned about him.

They even considered turning back to help him several times.

The brothers and the water source beast were kind and caring for their friends.

"Anakin, Austin was left all alone. Can he really escape those mad wolves?

Why do I get the feeling he was lying for our sake, to get us out of there safely?

He's a good man.

When I first met him, my first intention was to fight him. Now that I think about it, I feel guilty about how

I acted,"

Cayden remarked.

"Yes, he is indeed a very good-hearted young man.

I looked down on him before. I see I was wrong.

No matter what happens, his courage deserves our respect,"

sighed the water source beast sadly.

"I can't see him defeating so many ice wolves on his own. And breaking free from their encirclement is

simply impossible.

He said what he had to just to save us.

I should go back to help him.

I've never owed anything to anyone.

I don't plan on owing Austin,"

the water source beast continued.

"I agree, there's no way he'll be able to escape the ice wolves' siege.

We forced him to deal with all of them alone to save our own lives.

Let's go back and face those beasts with him,"

Anakin said after contemplating for a while.

They were about to turn around and set off to give Austin a hand.

At that very moment...

"What are you doing?

Keep running! The ice wolves are coming!"

Austin's voice suddenly rang out from the distance.

"Austin!"

Anakin, Cayden and the water source beast looked back at the same time to see Austin rushing

towards them at incredible speed.

"He got away!" the three of them cried in surprise.

They could not believe he'd actually done it.

Even with all three of them together they would not have had the strength to do it.

"Austin, how did you escape? You are truly amazing!”

Cayden could not hide his amazement or help asking.

"Forget that! Let's get out of here first!

Run!

The ice wolves are closing in.

It took a lot of effort to save you three.

Don't let that be for nothing. I can't save you again.

Because this time, there's an ice wolf king on the way!"

Austin had no time to answer Cayden.

"Austin's right. We need to keep running.

I did not expect the wolf king to be alerted as well.

If that thing catches up to us, we won't be able to escape even if we had wings!"

Anakin yelled after he'd heard what Austin said.

He turned quickly and darted off.

Once Cayden and the water source beast came to their senses and realized what was happening, they

ran off as fast as they could as well.

Austin was behind them, and used the Illusions Skill of Reincarnation.

In a flash he was already ahead of his three companions.

"Man! Austin is fast!

Come on! Let's catch up to him,"

Anakin called out when he saw Austin zipping past in the blink of an eye.

Soon, the four of them had left the ice wolves far behind.

It looked like it would be a long while before they caught up to them.

They did not know how far they'd run.

Suddenly.

"Good news!

We've arrived at the edge of the plateau.

Once we're off it, we're out of the ice wolves' territory.

They won't chase us after that!"

Anakin shouted excitedly.

"That's it!

We're almost safe!"

Cayden added joyously.

Austin let out a deep sigh of relief at this news.

They sped up and quickly made for the border of the plateau.

"We've finally made it out!

We're safe!"

Austin was the first to rush through the border of the plateau, the others following behind one by one.

Everyone was relaxed now, Cayden even roaring his happiness to the sky.

Not long after, in the distance, the vast expanse of ice wolves flowed over like a black ocean.

"Run!"

Austin bellowed, shocked at what he was seeing.

"Fear not. We're no longer within their reach.

They would never leave their lands and come out here.

We're safe now!"

Anakin said to Austin with a comforting smile.

"Oh?

Are you absolutely certain they won't go past the border?"

Austin asked cautiously.

His question soon answered itself, as he saw the ice wolves come to a sudden stop.
