It’s just a simple personnel change.”
Josie was unwilling to give up. “All right, then. Tell me, what’s the status of my father’s case? You went
to investigate the Olsen family. Did you find any issues?”
When asked about that, Scott was at a loss for words, and his frustration was more evident. “These
matters still need to be investigated,” he said.
“So, who is investigating it now? As the person involved, I have the right to know, don’t I?”
Scott laughed bitterly, “Mrs. Russell, you better not ask.”
“Is it because you were investigating this matter that you were demoted? Tell me the truth.” Josie was
