Summer couldn't believe that Douglas would actually poison the food, but Douglas made a point.
Leonardo would find him soon. Douglas was no match for Leonardo. Therefore, he had to drug
Summer before Leonardo came, but he had no idea where he could take Summer to.
Summer felt groggy and her eyes blurred, and she was losing her consciousness. And that was when
she realized that Douglas was no longer the sensitive and innocent boy she knew before.
Seeing Summer lying on the dining table, eyes closed, Douglas called her.
"Summer?" There was no response. She fainted.
Douglas stood up, walked to the door and opened it. He said to the outside, "Come in."
Then two tall and sturdy women entered the room. They looked rather serious, without a glimmer of a
smile in their eyes. They walked over to Summer and took her up.
These women were kind of rude to Summer. Douglas frowned, "Be gentle to her. She is a patient."
The two women exchanged looks and didn't say anything, but they indeed followed his order. Then
they took Summer out and closed the door for Douglas.
In the room, he stared blankly in the front, and no one knew what he was thinking.
Not long after, the door was kicked open. Douglas raised his head and saw Leonardo walking towards
him gloomily.
Leonardo rushed to Douglas, full of killing intent. He was clearly trying to hold his temper so hard that
his muscles were tight, but he could lose control at any time.
"Where is Summer?" His voice was hoarse and he glared at Douglas harshly.
It seemed his glare would devour him if Douglas didn't tell him Summer's whereabouts.
Leonardo's patience had been dripping away in the past few hours. Before Douglas could say anything,
Leonardo threw a punch at him.
Although he had been training for years and was in good shape, Douglas was thrown backwards by
Leonardo's furious punch, and blood flowed from his mouth.
Douglas touched where Leonardo hit him, and it had gone numb. Oh God, Leonardo must be so
furious.
"It is your first time hitting me." Douglas smirked as if he found it funny.
Douglas then said, "Everyone in Hoover City said you are cruel and inhuman. But no one knows it is
the first time you hit me since I grew up under your custody."
Something moved in Leonardo's eyes, but the anger did not fade away. He said again, "Where is
Summer?"
Douglas' face darkened, and he clenched his fists and asked, "Why did you drive my mother crazy? Do
you have something to do with my father's death? And grandfather's paralysis and my brother's death!"
Douglas looked straight at Leonardo when he asked these questions. He wanted to find a trace of guilt
or regret on Leonardo's face. However, he found nothing but mockery.
