Bloom
I woke up to a blinding light covering my sight. I tried to move my hand but found I couldn't. Trying to
move my left hand, this one I could actually eventually move. I covered my sight from the light to look at
what was holding my hand down. What I saw made me cry. Not in sadness, but happiness. It was
James, the one person I thought I would never see again. He was starring intently at me. When he
noticed I was awake he immediately embraced me in a tight hug. Suffocating in the process.
"I missed you, so so much!" I cried into his chest, he ran his hand through my hair.
"Hey... shh.. it's okay. I missed you so much too. Your safe now, here with me and the pack. Aiden can't
touch you now." He cooed into my ear, instantly calming me and my wolf down. I knew I needed to tell
him everything, every detail, the whipping, scars and even the rape. He better be calm enough to listen
to me.
"J..James, I need to tell you everything that happened when I was taken, but you need to promise me
one thing. You need to stay calm." I whispered, my voice cracking slightly at loss of water for ages.
They managed to starve me but I got food every so often.
"Anything for you love, would you like a drink first?" He asked gently.
I nodded slightly, I never drank anything despite being given food occasionally. They were on a
mission to make sure I only lived long enough to give birth to a child for Aiden.
James passed me a glass of water from the jug on the side table.
"Better?" I nodded my head and sighed contently.
"Okay, I need to tell you everything. I will start with the worst thing. I... I was raped James. Aiden raped
me. Every so often. He got me pregnant a few times but they died not long after. I'm scared one
survived and I don't know about it. He raped me a few days ago now." I sobbed, clutching onto his shirt
tightly. I heard a low but loud growl coming from his chest.
"HE WHAT!! I KILLED HIM EARLIER, I DON'T THINK HE SUFFERED ENOUGH NOW!" He screamed,
his wolf clearly at bay.
I whimpered and pulled away to cower into the warm bed-sheets.
Finally, a comfy bed.
He saw my actions and immediately came to comfort me.
"Hey.. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to snap. My wolf just got angry and is wanting to go out for blood, again,"
he chuckled, pulling me into his embrace once again.
That's how the next hour went. Me telling James everything, the whippings, the torture,
starvation,everything. Whilst he and his wolf tried to rampage out of the room, then me holding him
down and him apologizing.
Soon I got tired and unintentionally let out a quiet yawn. I heard a slight chuckle from beside me
making me jump.
"I think it's time for you to go to sleep. You may have only just recovered. I will stay with you here the
whole time okay." He whispered, kissing my forehead before tucking me under the soft white head
sheets. I was in a hospital room but still, the beds were a step up from the dungeon floor. Surely you
would be happy to have warmth for once after over a year of the cold. Just imagine what it's like.
I soon felt myself drifting into oblivion, waiting for the new dawn to come upon me. What a day it has
been today though. I was rescued from that hell hole by my mate and his pack, only to have to tell the
whole story to James.
James
Finally, she was back. In my arms and safe. I watched her as she slept. Peaceful unlike the past year
most probably. After she told me the whole story my wolf just snapped. He wanted to go out and run all
the anger off. I wanted more than to do that too, but we both knew we needed to be here to comfort our
mate. We knew she had scars covering her body, she just wouldn't feel comfortable showing them yet.
I need to just relish the moment, her being back, safe and sound. If she had gotten pregnant like she
said she might be, I won't be able to tell for another week or so yet. Let's just hope she isn't.
The minute I knew she was completely asleep was the second I had to disappear up into my office. I
made sure I had a camera setup to see what happens in that room. Now she is back, the whole pack
will be waiting to officially meet the new queen after a year of anticipation.
To prevent any packs from attacking during that time, I have to sign some papers, followed by meeting
with some pack Alphas to discuss things before and after they meet Bloom, their new queen. I just
hope she can handle it.
They can be a bit, overwhelming may I say, the other Alphas, I mean. Each time a new queen is
announced, all packs must gather in the royal packs grounds to meet her. Each one bring gifts and
their mates to visit. Not all packs are invited though, the ones who are rebelling, the ones who live to far
away, or the ones who just don't believe in the royal family whatsoever as well. Yes, some people don't
believe there is a royal family in fact.
