“You stated that you wanted to become my woman, Miss Moore. Why are you acting so reserved now
that we’ve just started? How can we go about taking the next step?”
“You can turn around and leave right now if you don’t want to be close to me. Despite being a rascal, I
have morals. Never do I force a woman.”
“But it won’t be that easy if you take off my mask right now and then regret it later. You need to take
responsibility.” He kept talking.
John increased his pressure and verbally attacked Violet’s psychological fortifications while she was
still in a state of shock.
Even without the last sentence, Violet might have been hesitant, but because John had warned her that
she would be responsible for him if she removed his mask, Violet became even more convinced that
John was tricking her.
She was thinking that he was putting psychological pressure on her, trying to scare her off in that way,
but the more he did it, the more it showed that he was being guilty.

Violet thought backward and gritted her teeth before suddenly leaning forward, as if attempting to climb

She suddenly felt relieved of a lot of the pressure as she considered that, and her expression became

John ceased speaking altogether.
His heart wasn’t calm as well.
He wanted to tease her at first, but when that girl was getting closer, he was greatly stimulated by the
elegant orchid scent.
Violet’s endearing face abruptly turned red and appeared as though blood was about to splatter. She
reasoned that since it had already reached that point, she had no choice but to remove that rascal’s
mask.
Otherwise, her attempt would be in vain.
She held back her feelings of guilt and unease before suddenly extending her hand and ripping off
John’s mask.
Then, all of a sudden, her eyes widened.
Underneath John’s mask was another mask.
“You…”
Violet quickly realized what was happening and reached out to remove John’s second mask. However,
she suddenly felt a tightening around her neck as he grabbed hold of her collar with one hand.
“Hey, the cost of this second mask is a little higher than the first one.” John said with a light smile.
Without a doubt, if Violet dared to reach out and remove the second mask, he would not hesitate to
forcefully pull open her collar. Who knows what would’ve popped out?
“You cheeky rascal, how dare you fool me!”
Violet ultimately lacked the guts to take off John’s second mask. Simply put, the price of doing so was
too great to bear.
She resentfully pushed John’s straying hand away and left the Sword Emperor Hall. Since she was
aware that John was playing a long game with her, she had no desire to talk to him any further.
Is that all there was to it?
Where did all the courage she mustered go?
John was a little dissatisfied as he felt the warmth that was still in his hand.
Since Violet had never really approached him with a pure motive, he didn’t feel any guilt toward her.
He was contemplating.
“Miss Moore…”
Before Roy could even begin to approach her, Violet stormed out of the Sword Emperor Hall, didn’t
pause for a second, and fled without turning around.
“Uhm… What’s wrong with Miss Moore?”
Roy rubbed the back of his head in awe.
Steven and Faith, who were waiting outside, also felt strange and hurriedly caught up with Violet,
asking.
“Violet, what happened? Did that Heavenly Sword Emperor inheritor bully you?”
Violet didn’t want to speak at first, but when she heard the word bully, her pent-up grievances erupted,
and she angrily said, “That prick is nothing but a ruffian. He’s rotten!”
“How did he treat you?”
The two’s expressions immediately changed when they heard what she said, and Faith quickly replied.
That Harry must have done something to make Violet angry enough to even call him a ruffian.

losses. He should be held responsible for his actions.
Violet was hesitant to speak, though. She was too enraged to know where to begin.
She couldn’t possibly tell them that she was the one to climb onto John’s body and that she then stood
by and allowed him to take advantage of her.
That would be too embarrassing!
Violet said after gaining composure, “He didn’t touch me physically, but he verbally degraded me. He
treated me like a disgusting woman who flatters and begs for favors from other people.”
There was a brief moment of silence.
Faith wondered, “Why does it feel like he’s indirectly insulting me?”
“Violet, you shouldn’t be so flimsy given your personality. You’re already this enraged after he only said
a few hurtful things?”
Faith clearly didn’t believe what Violet said, but Violet didn’t intend to go into detail and simply stated,
“That bastard’s mouth was so vicious, I want to break his jaw,
Faith had to give up when she realized Violet didn’t want to continue talking. Violet couldn’t have
suffered much in such a short period of time, she reasoned. After a brief pause, she inquired, “Did you
figure out who he was? Is he John?”
Violet was stunned for a moment, then shook her head and said hesitantly, “I can’t say for sure.”
