Chapter 1729A – A Great Dao

“Greetings, senior brother Ming. Why did you call me here?” Chen Sanglue greeted him respectfully.

Ming Zhe laughed, “You don’t have to be polite. Sit down.” When Chen Sanglue sat down, after some hesitation, Ming Zhe continued, “I did not want to say this, but junior sister’s actions today were slightly abnormal. I do not think it is a good thing.”

Chen Sanglue asked, “What does senior brother mean by this?”

Ming Zhe waved his hand, “I do not mean anything by it, I just hope that you can remind junior sister that Sky Falling Mountain is descending soon, so it’s best that she does not cause any trouble.”

After thinking for a bit, Chen Sanglue nodded his head and said, “Thank you for the reminder senior brother; I will keep it in mind.”

Ming Zhe smiled, “I hope that junior sister will not blame me for being meddlesome. I will not keep you any longer.”

Chen Sanglue got up and left.

Ming Zhe’s servant frowned and looked slightly clueless. “Master, if you want to give a reminder to Li Ruhua, you can just tell her directly, why do you have to go through Chen Sanglue?”

Ming Zhe replied, “That’s where you’re wrong. The reminder is not directed at Li Ruhua but at Chen Sanglue…of course, I have to tell him directly.”

……

After leaving Ming Zhe’s room, Chen Sanglue relayed the message to Li Ruhua directly.

“Young Miss, what is different about Zhou Huan that warrants you paying such close attention to him?”

Li Ruhua had a calm expression as she said, “There are some things that you don’t need to know, so you don’t have to ask so many questions. I heard what senior brother Ming wanted to tell me; you may leave now.”

“Yes, Young Miss.”

Chen Sanglue bowed and left the room. After he closed the door, his face looked gloomy. He wanted to take revenge and become a Celestial, and the Thirteenth Floor was his best and only option to cultivate the Heaving Crossing Great Dao.

Even Ming Zhe could tell how highly Li Ruhua valued Zhou Huan. When he thought about Li Ruhua’s response earlier on, his heart became more tense.

After a few moments of uncertainty, Chen Sanglue took a deep breath and made up his mind. No matter what, he could not let anyone threaten his current position!

Now, especially, was an important juncture for him. He had some thoughts about how he would tackle Sky Falling Mountain. His chances were not that great, but what if he succeeded?

However, he had personally seen how Bull Bean tried to protect Zhou Huan that day.

He could not take action on the ship, otherwise the Bull Family would intervene. He was not a true disciple of the Thirteenth Floor after all, and he would definitely suffer losses if that happened.

……

The rest of the journey was smooth. Ever since Bull Bean made an appearance and forced Sun Changqing to back off, everything was finally calm.

Twenty-four days later, after two rest stops, the ship reached its final destination ahead of schedule. It docked at a port in Long Mountain Area.

Cloud Sea Sect’s Elder Shi Liang, who was on edge and had sleepless nights the entire time, lost a lot of weight in less than a month. He took a long sigh.

He was really afraid!

Even though everything that happened beforehand was just shocking and held no actual danger, no one knew when it would suddenly explode in their faces and turn them into ashes. It would be best to just quickly escort these people who could not be provoked off the ship!

Of course, even though he had all these thoughts in his heart, he did not dare to show it on his face at all. He stood in Area A and escorted these guests out respectfully one by one.

For example, there were those immortals from the Thirteenth Floor, the young lady from the Bull Family, and that disciple from Sweeping Clouds Peak…thankfully, no accidents happened during this journey.

It made Shi Liang heave a sigh of relief, but at the same time, he felt delighted too. After the ship docked, he had given people orders to escort Qin Yu out first. To put it nicely he said that it was to ensure Qin Yu’s safety and to prevent any accidents from happening.

Otherwise, if he and Sun Changqing bumped into each other on the deck, things would not turn out well.

Therefore when everyone was still disembarking from the ship, Qin Yu, who had left ahead of everyone, was already walking on the pier. He could guess Cloud Sea Sect’s motive behind sending him off first, but he did not mind. He was happy to be able to avoid trouble.

After disembarking the ferry, Bull Bean slowed down and looked around frantically.

Uncle Bull frowned slightly, “Young Lady, there are many people on the pier. To avoid any accidents, let’s leave quickly.”

“Ah…okay, let’s go.” Bull Bean nodded her head but she looked slightly disappointed.

She did not see Zhou Huan.

It was very strange, because seeing this person made her feel at ease even though she did not know why. However, this world was too big and it was possible that after this separation from each other, they would not meet again.

Calmly, Li Ruhua walked amongst the crowd. She did not bother finding him, not because she did not want to, but because she had this strong feeling that they would meet again.

Zhou Huan…

There was some connection between her and that person, one that was intangible and hard to describe.

It seemed vague and illusory, yet very much there.

She wanted to solve this mystery!

……

As a former territory of one of the four families, Long Mountain Area could be considered to be rather bustling in the Central Desolate Divine Area. In recent days, after the news about Sky Falling Mountain was spread, powerful organizations from everywhere else quickly ordered their disciples to rush down here. This caused Long Mountain Area to become like a pot of boiling porridge, and the air was filled with restless energy.

The inns were full, so Qin Yu was quite lucky to have snagged the last available room at one. He could not be picky about its environment – as long as he could stay here, that was enough for him. It was better than staying outside on the streets.

He followed the servant to the room. Even though the room was quite clean, a musty smell still lingered in the air. He looked around the room and he could pretty much conclude that this was originally a storeroom, which had been converted by the innkeeper at the last minute to capitalize on the large hordes of people coming into Long Mountain Area and earn some extra money.

Qin Yu did not express any dissatisfaction as he dismissed the servant. He swept his divine sense over the room. He only sat down after he did not detect anything wrong with the place.

He poured a cup of tea for himself and after a few sips, he sighed. There was a rueful expression on his face. How many years had it been? Today, he had finally come to that clan’s old territory.

His revenge would begin now.

Sky Falling Mountain was just the first step in his plan. If all went well…that clan’s death clock would start to ring!

……

At the governor’s mansion.

On paper, the person with the highest authority in Long Mountain Area was the Long Mountain Governor. He knelt on the ground respectfully and saluted, “Nameless greets Elder.”

In front of him, the space trembled. A figure walked out. The hair on his temples was slightly white and his face was quite simple-looking. “Get up. How are things going?”

“Thank you, Elder.” Long Mountain Governor, Nameless, stood up and continued, “The foundation of the plan has been laid. Elder, please check.”

That figure nodded and said, “Lead the way.”

Long Mountain Governor extended his arm in invitation, “Elder, please follow me.”

They did not meet anyone along the way. Entering a large hall in the mansion and passing through a dark tunnel, they continued walking downwards.

After going through a few layers of formations, they finally came to a man-made underground place that was a thousand meters deep. It was a huge space, measuring about ten miles in both length and width. It was able to be concealed only because it was below the governor’s mansion.

Twenty-four huge stone statues were scattered all over the place, and apart from these statues, there was nothing else.

The Long Mountain Governor stopped in his tracks and respectfully said, “Elder, this way.”

“Okay.”

The figure stepped out into the underground space. Even though it did not look like he was walking very quickly, in just the span of a few seconds, he had covered every inch of this place.

Every stone statue had been carefully checked by him and he made sure that there was nothing wrong with them.

“Very good!” The elder nodded in satisfaction. “Nameless, if this succeeds, I will help you enter the King realm.”

The Long Mountain Governor smiled in delight, “Thank you, Elder!” He bowed respectfully to the figure, “I will wait for you in the hall.”

Then, he turned to leave.

Now, there was only that elder left in that underground space who looked at the twenty-four stone statues with anticipation.

Sky Falling Mountain was an opportunity that could mobilize all the powerful organizations in this world. Whoever could refine it would immediately become a True King. However, it was a pity that even though they had control over Sky Falling Mountain for a long time, they could not decipher its secrets.

This time, they were forced to take it out so that they could buy time to save themselves. However, they were still going to try their best to take it back.

And these twenty-four stone statues were the key to doing so!

Now, he was going to help them open their eyes.
