Chapter 217: You’re Not Allowed to See Ji Yang for Half a Month

Shi Beiyu paused for a while. He instantly knew that something was wrong when he saw how nice Mu Siyin was.

“Okay,” he said softly before he looked at her. “Where did you go this time?”

Mu Siyin’s body stiffened, and she blinked her eyes with an innocent look on her face. “I didn’t. I’ve been resting at home for the whole day. You can ask Uncle Zhong if you don’t believe me.”

Shi Beiyu raised an eyebrow. “Then why did you put on makeup?”

Mu Siyin was annoyed at herself. She had purposely changed into another outfit when she came home. However she had forgotten that she did not have makeup on when Shi Beiyu left the house today!

Despite that, she did not give in to the allegation. “I-I was bored at home, so I put on some makeup to kill some time.”

“I’ll give you a good time at night if you continue lying to me.”

Mu Siyin shut her mouth and glared at Shi Beiyu the moment he said that.

It was such a waste of talent for him not to be a detective!

“Tell me. Where did you go? With who?” The way Mu Siyin looked right now confirmed his suspicions. He was both upset and helpless at the same time.

He had told her countless times to have a good rest at home that day, yet what did she do?

She had the audacity to sneak out of home when he was not around. She even got Uncle Zhong to cover up for her!

Mu Siyin stared at a long-faced Shi Beiyu with that aggrieved expression of hers and let out a dry laugh. “I didn’t go with anyone you didn’t know. I was just window shopping with Yangyang for a while…”

Shi Beiyu instantly frowned. It was Ji Yang again!

Noticing the creases on Shi Beiyu’s handsome face, Mu Siyin immediately added, “But I only went out for a while. Since I came back, I’ve been resting at home. You can ask Uncle Zhong if you don’t believe me.”

Shi Beiyu grunted softly. “Do you think I can believe in Uncle Zhong’s words now?”

This little lass was quite something. She had managed to win over his butler in such a short time.

Mu Siyin looked conflicted. “But I really did go out in the early afternoon and come home before evening. It was only 3 to 4 hours.”

Shi Beiyu put on a poker face. “Okay. You’re not allowed to see Ji Yang for half a month.”

“Huh?” Mu Siyin was dumbfounded.

“Unhappy? What about a month?” Shi Beiyu lifted his eyebrows.

Mu Siyin became anxious. “No, it’s just in a few days…”

“Okay. Be good, and have your dinner.”

Upon saying so, Shi Beiyu placed some food on Mu Siyin’s plate.

Mu Siyin pursed her lips as she called him a ‘tyrant’ in her heart. She snorted softly before she lowered her head and ate.

After dinner, Shi Beiyu held Mu Siyin’s hand and brought her to his room.

Mu Siyin started to become nervous the moment she got to the bedroom.

She had made a promise to him. She said that she would do it after she got well…

“I still need to handle some things at work. Please be good and rest first, okay?”

Shi Beiyu did not give her a chance to react as he had her sit at the bedside. His eyes were resting gently on her as he spoke softly.

Mu Siyin hesitated for a while before she blinked her eyes. Then, she suddenly smiled and nodded her head. “Okay.”

Shi Beiyu caressed her head before he turned around and strode out of the room.

Mu Siyin knitted her brows together in vexation. Was he really that busy? It was so lonely to be all by herself.

Shi Beiyu headed downstairs and straight towards the door. After that, he walked towards the side building.

Shi Ran was playing chess with Master Hu. However, chess was a game of luck. While Shi Beiyu had dinner for half an hour, Shi Ran had already lost two games.

“Huh? No way, no way! Can I withdraw a move, sir? I think I placed it in the wrong place.”

Master Hu was so angry that his beard trembled. “You little punk! You can’t change your mind anymore after you’ve made your move! Why don’t you count how many times you’ve changed your mind in this short while?”

Shi Ran looked at the old man helplessly. “But I’m a stranger to chess. You were the one who insisted for me to play with you and won’t even let me withdraw my move! I’m just going to lose again at this rate. Why don’t you let me withdraw my move so we can stay in the same match?”
