Chapter 11 - "You can casually kiss people if you're dunk?

The next morning, a thick layer of white fog covered up the scenery outside and the glass window with white mist. The weather had cooled down, and the strong gusts of wind blew by.

On the first floor of the villa, Fu Cheng’s figure could be seen walking back and forth, and after a while, he heard some movement downstairs at the bottom of the stairs and realized that Shen Yi had gotten up.

Wearing a black T-shirt with the school uniform’s jacket in his hand, the shower left his hair wet, he tousled them around while heading downstairs to sit at the dining table, before picking up the hot porridge handed to him by Fu Cheng.

“How come you woke up so late? Did you drink too much last night?” Fu Cheng said.

He had stayed over at Shen Yi’s place several times before, and every time Shen Yi went downstairs early in the morning for a morning run, by the time Fu Cheng got up, he had already come back from his run.

“Your bed is too comfortable.” Shen Yi said.

Fu Cheng smiled: “You can come over often if you like it.”

“You’re soliciting guests.” Shen Yi quipped, he looked at Fu Cheng with a smile, “Shouldn’t I give you some room fees?”

Fu Cheng stretched out his hand: “I’ll give you a discount, just eight hundred.”

Shen Yi flicked his palm with his fingers: “That’s plain robbery.”

Fu Cheng laughed, his eyes crooked.

Shen Yi lowered his head and took a spoon to eat the porridge, “Your brother left?”

“Yup, went out around six o’clock.” After Fu Cheng finished speaking, he paused for two seconds and muttered again, “He didn’t even eat breakfast.”

Shen Yi lowered his head and stirred the light shrimp porridge in the bowl and said, “Maybe he had something to do?”

So, he was avoiding him?

After the meal, the two put on their school uniforms and went to school together. Fu Cheng’s family has a driver specifically assigned to pick up and drop him off, which was much more convenient, and the two arrived at school just in time for the morning reading.

Shen Yi sat down in his seat, he walked all the way from the school gate, and jogged a few steps halfway, his body felt a little hot, so he pulled the zipper of his school uniform down.

The students in the class were all busy with their own work, some writing test papers, some reading books, and some reading English, and some were catching up on sleep with their heads on top of the table, a male classmate and a girl at Shen Yi’s front table changed positions such that it became two girls sitting together. They held their books and started talking.

“How much did you score in English last time?”

“106, last English test’s questions were so difficult.”

“I think math is a little harder. How about you tell me with math, and I’ll help you with English.”

“Okay, are you coming to my house after school?”

“That’s alright- alas, I’ve decided, I’m going to put my idol away and focus on my studies.”

The girl’s voice was soft, Shen Yi sat behind them and could more or less hear a few words. He drew the wrong picture on the draft paper with a pencil, but after searching couldn’t find an eraser. He wanted to ask Fu Cheng to lend him an eraser.

“Shen Yi.” A girl at the front table suddenly turned around.

“Huh?” Shen Yi looked up.

The short-haired girl’s round eyes met his eyes, and she almost forgot what she wanted to say. She asked a little shyly: “Do you have time?”

“Yes.” In everyone’s impression, Shen Yi was a handsome boy who was easy to talk to, as for the impression of him being difficult to mess with when he had first transferred had already been forgotten by them.

The girl took out a test paper, “Me and Xiaomeng couldn’t solve this last question, did you?”

Shen Yi looked at it, “I did it, do you want to read it?”

He took out the test paper hidden in the book and handed it to the girl, who thanked him, took the test paper, and studied it on her table with the other girl.

“I borrowed it!” The girl whispered, “Let’s read it together.”

“I really thought he wouldn’t pay any attention to us.” Another girl said.

“I told you he has a good temper.”

In class, Shen Yi was the closest to Fu Cheng, he was only close to some boys that he played with during the weekdays. He was good-looking, has good grades, is tall, handsome and clean. Thus, in the eyes of girls this age, he was a figure only to be admired from a distance.

Shen Yi, who lent out his test paper did not study, instead, he lowered his head and took out his mobile phone from his pocket, but realized there were no new notifications on his phone.

He clicked on Fu Yuhe’s private number he had saved last time and typed a few words, but before he could send it out, Fu Cheng came over, knocked his arm with his elbow, he turned his head to look over and saw Fu Cheng sitting next to him, diligently memorizing the words correctly.

He continued to type with his head down.

[Brother Fu, I didn’t manage to say goodbye to you in the morning, and staying over at your house last night must have caused you trouble.]

Polite and reserved.

After the message was sent out, Shen Yi closed his mobile phone with satisfaction, and his elbow was knocked again.

“What…” Shen Yi asked while looking up, stopping before he finished speaking.

He saw a figure standing not far from Fu Cheng’s left side. The head teacher held his teacup for who-knows-how-long, lowered his head, and took a sip from the steaming tea, before directly looking at him.

Shen Yi: “…”

Shen Yi’s phone was confiscated because he was caught using it in the morning, and the head teacher asked him to get it after school was over.

The morning fog lasted until nine o’clock, and at noon, when Shen Yi and Fu Cheng were on the way to the cafeteria, and Fu Cheng saw Shen Yi habitually touching the pocket where his mobile phone was kept and casually mentioned it.

“I reminded you but you didn’t listen.” Fu Cheng said.

Shen Yi: “It’s okay.”

He held his meal card in his pocket, and the corners of the card, leaving red marks against his skin.”

Fu Cheng: “I’ll accompany you to get it after school.”

“Don’t make such an expression.” Shen Yi smiled and teased, “Those who don’t know would think that I bullied you.”

They walked forward side by side, not noticing a few people walking menacingly behind them, and when they realized it, Shen Yi looked back sideways, his shoulder was bumped, and a tall figure briskly walked past him, bringing along a gust of wind.

The other party had his hair shaved, his back looked like a prisoner who had just come out of prison. He turned his head holding a fierce expression, and wanted to take a condescending posture to look at the two people on the opposite side, but because they were about the same height, he could only raise his chin in an attempt to look down on them.

When Xu Fanchao came to school, one didn’t need to look closely to realize that he was not good-looking, it seemed that he hadn’t rested well. He was still followed by his three little brothers, with the same “I know gangsters” temperament.

Shen Yi stopped.

The two parties stood in place for a few seconds, they went to the cafeteria when almost all the students would be eating, so there were only a few classmates walking around.

“You never expected to see me again.” Xu Fanchao sneered.

Shen Yi turned his head sideways and asked Fu Cheng: “What is he talking about?”

Fu Cheng shook his head to indicate that he didn’t know.

Xu Fanchao’s harsh words were completely ignored, his face was livid, and he cursed: “You are quite capable, Shen Yi.”

“What’s wrong with me?” Shen Yi narrowed his eyelids impatiently, “Don’t make it look like I’m a bully like you.”

This sentence is similar to the previous one but said in a completely different tone, and has a completely different effect, making it seem full of irony.

Xu Fanchao looked at him for a long time, “Okay, you are determined to part ways with me, so that you can kiss up to this little white-face’s big brother, right?”

That’s right.

Shen Yi did not refute, his eyes fluttered at him, Xu Fanchao said a few harsh words, shot him a gloomy look, and already put “dealing with Shen Yi” above “dealing with Fu Cheng”.

“Sure we can part ways. Ill be waiting for you at the old place today. Go over there. Let’s solve it properly.” Xu Fanchao didn’t give Shen Yi any chance to refuse, turned around, and left.

After they walked away, Fu Cheng asked worriedly, “What do I do?”

Shen Yi said indifferently: “We’ll do it this way.”

Fu Cheng: “Are you really going?”

“I’m not a fool-” Shen Yi paused for two seconds, his tone changed, and the arrogance just now disappeared, “I seem to have gotten into trouble Fu Cheng.”

Fu Cheng was particularly flustered when he heard his tone, “Don’t be afraid, I… I’ll think of a way for you.”

Shen Yi: “Let’s get rid of them?”

Fu Cheng: “…”

“Don’t do that.” Fu Cheng’s voice trembled, “It’s illegal.”

Shen Yi sighed, “I’m a little scared if they found me when I am all alone…”

Fu Cheng: “Come with me, I’ll get the driver to send you back… No, it’s not safe for you to live alone, or you can live in my house first!”

His gaze grew resolute.

Shen Yi looked at him lovingly.

Good brother.

He laughed: “It’s okay, there is no need to be so serious, they can’t stop me.”

Taking advantage of such a simple person… He felt very guilty.

When school ended in the afternoon, Shen Yi took back his mobile phone, and the message he sent to Fu Yuhe in the morning had received a reply. Fu Yuhe replied, with only three words – [You’re welcome.]

More alienated and polite than him, just like a scumbag who picks up his pants after the deed is done and forgets it ever happened.

He didn’t go to the “old place” that Xu Fanchao mentioned, instead went straight home. The next day, during recess, he met Xu Fanchao in the corridor of the teaching building. The other party only glanced at him coldly but did not say anything anymore.

He wanted to find trouble but couldn’t. Shen Yi’s lived a very monotonous life. Every day he took the bus to go back and didn’t stay behind. Xu Fanchao’s people followed Shen Yi on the bus twice, and each time after arriving at the station, when Shen Yi got off the bus, they either couldn’t squeeze out of the bus faster, or they will lose track of Shen Yi after a couple of turns.

The weather was getting colder, and near the end of the month, Shen Yi wanted to change houses, so he asked Fu Cheng if there is a suitable one around, and Fu Cheng said that he’ll help him pay attention.

The Fu family’s villa was located in a rich area, there were apartment buildings nearby there, but the price wasn’t cheap. on Friday night, Shen Yi and Fu Cheng went to his house to make up for his weak aspects of learning.

Fu Cheng’s grades were a result of hard work. If he couldn’t solve a problem, he won’t even eat. The mathematics teacher left a few questions today, involving a wide range of knowledge, Fu Cheng listed formulas on a scratch paper.

After Shen Yi finished writing the question, he helped Fu Cheng sort out some information. His neck ached from being lowered for a long time. He leaned back on the chair, one leg against the ground shaking up and down, the ceiling in his line of sight was also shaking.

The door was knocked, and Fu Cheng looked up.

“I’ll open it.” Shen Yi said positively.

“Okay.” Fu Cheng continued to write the question with his head down.

Shen Yi walked to the door of the room in just a few steps and opened the door.

“Fu Cheng, don’t leave you-…” Fu Yuhe outside the door saw an unexpected person appear in front of him. He abruptly stopped speaking, choking a little on his words.

“Good evening, Brother Fu.” Shen Yi leaned his shoulder against the door frame, with a gentle and harmless smile on his face.

Fu Yuhe had just returned from outside, his expression was cold. He was wearing a meticulous suit, but a few strands of hair fell between his forehead, giving him more of a casual atmosphere. He held Fu Cheng’s school uniform jacket in his hand.

“Why are you here?” He asked.

Shen Yi blinked: “Don’t you know?”

These words created an ambiguous atmosphere between the two of them.

Fu Yuhe glanced at the gap on the side.

Shen Yi said: “Fu Cheng is doing his homework.”

Fu Yuhe stretched out his hand to pull Shen Yi out, relaxed his movements and closed the door, “What do you want to do?”

Shen Yi: “Brother, you are so ruthless.”

Fu Yuhe: “I was drunk last time.”

“So you can kiss others when you’re drunk?” Shen Yi’s tone seemed to be accusatory, still feeling a little aggrieved.

Fu Yuhe’s suddenly felt a little guilty.

Shen Yi didn’t continue to talk to him about this, “You promised that you’ll grant a request of mine.”

Fu Yuhe: “…”
