When Mo Wen mentioned the Intentionless Sect, Chen Zi felt a sense of doubt once again well up inside of her. What he said was right. It was highly likely that something big had happened to the Intentionless Sect. She would be uneasy if she did not rush back.

Chen Zi finally nodded her head. “Let’s go. Something may not necessarily have happened to the Intentionless Sect. Even if something has happened, it doesn’t mean something will happen to us. We will deal with events as they unfold.”

She made up her mind that she must return to the Intentionless Sect. If anything happened, they could hide, so it would not necessarily mean they would be in danger. If she did not return and something actually had happened, she would most likely regret it for her the rest of her life.

Chen Zi lifted her head and looked at the moon glowing in the night sky. Then, after ascertaining that their position was in the north and the Intentionless Sect was in the south, she decisively walked to the southern part of the forest. For now, she was estimating where they needed to go. Once they left the forest, they would be able to determine their exact position.

Both of them were ancient martial arts practitioners with high cultivation. Before dark, they should be able to get out of the forest. Of course, the Green Ancient Mystery Dimension was different from the main space. Walking in the forest was still dangerous, even for ancient martial arts practitioners.

“How big is the Green Ancient Mystery Dimension?” Mo Wen asked curiously as they walked.

“Among the Inner worlds, the Green Ancient Mystery Dimension is only a small Inner world. It is not very big, only about the size of Hua Xia,” Chen Zi explained.

“That’s quite big.” Mo Wen was somewhat shocked. An Inner world was actually the size of Hua Xia. And it was considered a small Inner world. If that was so, then how big were the larger Inner worlds?

Once again, Mo Wen felt the disparity between the main space and this Inner world. They could not be more unconnected. Before this, he had never even heard of, let alone seen, a scenario where a separated space surpassed the main space. There was most certainly an unknown secret behind it.

For the space to be so separated from the main space and actually still exist stably, this world would most likely not have been simple even during the ancient times. It might even be more mysterious than the world which he was previously in.

“The Green Ancient Mystery Dimension is small among the Inner worlds. However, its surface area is equivalent to that of the main space. So, it is indeed quite big. However, even though the Green Ancient Mystery Dimension is big, the space humans can inhabit is small. Sometimes, in order to develop a space which is habitable, the price that we have to pay is huge.”

Chen Zi sighed. Hua Xia was a huge country in the main space. Since the surface area of the Green Ancient Mystery Dimension was comparable to that of Hua Xia, naturally it was not considered small. However, within such a huge area, the space where humans could go was less than ten percent. As for its population, it would most likely be less than 0.1 percent of that of Hua Xia.

There were many Inner worlds which were suitable for ancient martial arts practitioners to inhabit and practice. However, they were not suitable for common people. Commoners would have difficulties moving even a step in the Green Ancient Mystery Dimension. Hence, it would be impossible for them to prosper and multiply in it.

“Why?” Mo Wen asked. Could it be that there was an enormous difference between the Inner worlds and the main space? Did even the ancient martial arts practitioners found it hard to survive in here?

Mo Wen had noticed a few differences. For example, the gravity in the space was surprising, almost ten times that of the main space. That meant that the natural disasters that were happening now would be very terrifying, most probably more than a hundred times greater than in the main space.

For ancient martial arts practitioners who did not have high cultivation, encountering such frightening natural disasters was indeed very dangerous. But for ancient martial arts practitioners with high cultivation, the natural disasters should not have much effect.

Of course, on top of that, Mo Wen had made another, more shocking, discovery. This space was actually rich in spiritual energy. Other than the space where the Huatian Palace was located, Mo Wen had never sensed so much spiritual energy in any other place in the main space.

There were perhaps only a few specific places in the main space where there was a little spiritual energy left. However, in this space, spiritual energy was dense everywhere. He could taste the spiritual energy just by taking in a deep breath.

However, compared to the Immortal Cultivation world, the spiritual energy found here was still thin. It was considered a land that was barren with spiritual energy. But this “spiritual energy barren” was most likely considered to be valuable for this world. It was enough to sustain the practice of some low-level immortal cultivators.

Needless to say, the places with spiritual energy would have all sorts of natural treasures. Some simple spiritual herbs and flowers and even some low-rank spiritual stones could be found here. It was definitely a treasure trove. It was also one of the reasons why Mo Wen didn’t want to leave the Green Ancient Mystery Dimension immediately.

For him, this place would be fitting. If he only practiced normally in the main space, he would most likely not be able to break through to the Golden Elixir realm even in another ten years.

“It is because, in the Green Ancient Mystery Dimension…” Chen Zi began to explain. But suddenly, her face turned pale. From deep within the forest, a shadow pounced on her. It had appeared right in front of Chen Zi in an instant. It seemed as though it was going to strike her with great speed.

However, Chen Zi responded nimbly. Immediately, she dodged it by moving sideways. The shadow flashed past, brushing against her.

After the shadow passed Chen Zi, it didn’t slow down; instead, it pounced on Mo Wen, who was standing behind Chen Zi. It accelerated, appearing before him in the blink of an eye.

“Interesting.” Mo Wen’s mouth curled with surprise. Staring at the shadow which was about to hit him, he didn’t dodge. A brilliant golden light suddenly exploded from his body, enveloping him instantaneously. His skin turned gold in color. He had become a golden man in a split second.

Clang! The crisp sound of metal clashing reverberated in the woods, as though someone was hitting a metal drum. At the same time, it was accompanied by a shriek. The shriek sounded like a cat meowing, but it was also similar to a wolf howling.

The shadow quickly bounced away from Mo Wen, rolling on the ground. It was squealing as though it wanted to reduce the pain.

Now Mo Wen and Chen Zi could see its form. It looked like a cat. It was a foot long, with blackish-grey fur which was standing on end. Its eyes were azure in color and its mouth was filled with hideous teeth. Unlike common cats, this cat had an eerie black horn on its head, shimmering with a cold sheen under the moonlight.

The peculiar cat shook its head dizzily. It seemed to have hit a mountain rock, causing it to grimace in pain and see lights in its eyes. It stared at Mo Wen quizzically, seemingly unsure of whether he was a human or a piece of rock.

The cat’s incredulous stare and its confused manner might have made it endearing. However, it was not an appealing creature. It was an assassin in the dark.

Chen Zi drew in a cold breath upon seeing the strange looking feline. “A Phantom Wolf Cat,” she said.

The Phantom Wolf Cat seemed to be enraged. It let out a long howl, again as soft as a cat meowing yet with the imposing manner and shrillness of a wolf howling. It seemed reluctant to admit defeat. Jumping up onto its feet, its body lit up with a jet black light. It threw itself at Mo Wen once again.

It was clearly a cat; however, it had terrifying momentum. The black light flashed. It was as though a mountain was heading towards Mo Wen. Its manner was no weaker than that of a Qi Nucleation realm ancient martial arts practitioner.

“As expected.” Mo Wen smiled. He was not surprised to encounter this peculiar cat. In his previous life, he had encountered many similar dangerous creatures. In that world, they were called the monstrous beasts. They had strong offensive ability and strength.

Right now, encountering a Phantom Wolf Cat made him certain that this world was most likely the same world as he had been in during his previous life. It was an immortal cultivation world.

He extended a hand. A golden light flashed and a golden swirl appeared in front of him. Before the Phantom Wolf Cat could crash onto Mo Wen, it was sucked into the swirl by a terrifying force.

The Phantom Wolf Cat let out a shrill howl, struggling in the golden swirl. However, it couldn’t break free from the bondage of the swirl at all. It was trapped.

Mo Wen waved his hand. The golden swirl contracted, shrinking into a small swirl no more than a foot in diameter, trapping the Phantom Wolf Cat yet more tightly.

The golden swirl flew into his hand slowly. Mo Wen stared at the Phantom Wolf Cat on his palm curiously. It reeked of a thick smell of blood. It was indeed not a kind species.

The Phantom Wolf Cat was not a docile kitten. Its wild nature was terrifying. Its pair of azure eyes turned red instantly. It howled continuously, seemingly wanting to fight Mo Wen to the death.

“Play nice.” Mo Wen extended a finger and poked the Phantom Wolf Cat once on its forehead. A glint of golden light flashed past his eyes. The next instant, a strange scene occurred. The Phantom Wolf Cat had actually calmed down and was no longer struggling or howling. Instead, it was gentle, with a dazed and blank expression in its eyes.

“You have actually tamed a Phantom Wolf Cat. How did you do that?” Chen Zi asked in astonishment. She stared at Mo Wen incredulously. The Phantom Wolf Cat was not a kitten. Its wild nature and ability to attack were in fact much higher than that of some ferocious beasts. She would rather encounter those ferocious beasts which were huge in size than encountering such a “little thing”.

The assassin of the night. Its infamous name was not a mere saying.

“It’s simple. You just have to tell the cat to ‘play nice’. Then, it will become gentle. This kitten is very obedient,” Mo Wen said, smiling carelessly.

Chen Zi rolled her eyes at Mo Wen. Play nice? Obedient? Was he really talking about the Phantom Wolf Cat?

The longer she spent with Mo Wen, the more astonished she was by him. The Phantom Wolf Cat before them might only have strength at the Qi Nucleation realm. However, it was skillful in sneak attacks. When it attacked in the dark, even Embryonic Breathing realm ancient martial arts practitioners might suffer losses. Mo Wen had actually conquered it so easily. On top of that, he had even tamed the beast.

“Now you should be able to understand why it is hard to survive in the Green Ancient Mystery Dimension. Even when the ancient martial arts practitioners encounter such a ferocious beast, it is a dangerous matter. Those with cultivation at Qi Nucleation realm or below will surely die. The Green Ancient Mystery Dimension is filled with a variety of beasts such as this. They occupy more than 90% of the space in the realm. If humans want to find a place to inhabit, they must snatch it from the hands of the beasts. You have not seen it. But every time when the martial arts practitioners expand their territory in the Green Ancient Mystery Dimension, the occasion would be drenched in blood.”

Chen Zi sighed. Even though the Inner world was suitable for ancient martial arts practitioners to practice, survival was not easy.
