Chapter 733: Left Already

She was a generous person and would not throw a petty fit in this manner.

This indicated that she was genuinely attempting to leave his life, and remove all signs of ever being with him.

A set of keys placed on the dining table was especially eye-catching. These were the keys to his home as well as… the keys to his Hua Feng Finance Company’s office.

A divorce contract was placed under the keys.

He skimmed through the contents and it cited irreconcilable differences as a reason for their divorce. There would be no compensation given to her post-divorce.

She had already signed her name. Once he did the same, the contract could be submitted to a lawyer and their divorce could proceed.

He immediately dialed the company. The human resource staff informed him that she had submitted another resignation letter and was currently not in the office.

“Let’s get a divorce…” Sun Jiamu’s resigned voice replayed in his mind.

“No…” Fang Shaohua clenched his fists tightly. He did not wish for a divorce.

Xinxin was right. He did have feelings for Jiamu!

He brought his phone out and gave her a call. However, the call would not go through.

He then attempted to send her a message but it was rejected.

She had blocked his number!

Fang Shaohua immediately drove towards the Sun family’s villa located at Qian Shan Wan.

Sun Zhiming, Sun Jiamu’s father, sized Fang Shaohua up coldly from where he sat on the couch. “What are you doing here?”

Considering his cold expression, Fang Shaohua was certain that Sun Jiamu had informed them about their conflict.

“Leave.” Wang Xinlin, Sun Jiamu’s mother, spoke in anger. “You’re an eyesore in my home.”

“Mother…” Fang Shaohua addressed her in this manner for the first time. He then spoke to Sun Zhiming. “Father, won’t you tell me where Mumu is? There’s a misunderstanding between us. I need to clear things up with her.”

“We don’t have a son-in-law like you.” Sun Zhiming cleared his throat coldly. “Servants, send him out.”

The helpers immediately made a polite gesture for Fang Shaohua to leave. “Mr. Fang, please take your leave.”

If this had been any other time, Fang Shaohua would most certainly have left immediately.

In fact, he would have been unwilling to even step into the Sun family’s home.

He had searched for Sun Jiamu relentlessly, but no one was aware of her location.

Jiamu was already a fourth year undergraduate and she was supposed to be carrying out her internship. However, she did not take on the internship the school recommended for her.

Even Xinxin herself wasn’t sure where Jiamu had gone.

“Mother, Father, I was in the wrong. I treated Jiamu poorly.” A hint of remorse flashed past Fang Shaohua’s eyes. “I regret that I didn’t treasure her well. Please let her know that I won’t sign the divorce agreement. I will wait for her and continue searching for her. Jiamu is my wife and she will remain so for the rest of my life!”

He then stood up to leave.

Sun Zhiming took in his back view. Frankly, he was a little moved. “Shaohua is also a good child. His parents aren’t by his side anymore but he still grew up to be outstanding. If anyone else had suffered a false accusation the way he did, they would most definitely have given up. Yet, he successfully became a good businessman in his own right.”

“He is quite outstanding.” Wang Xinlin’s heart also softened. “‘One would rather tear apart a universe, than to tear apart a marriage.’ Should we persuade Jiamu to reconsider?”

“But she’s already left on a trip to distract herself from her heartbreak. We don’t have any ways of contacting her right now.” Sun Zhiming frowned.

“In that case, we can only wait for her to return.” Wang Xinlin sighed.

Although Sun Jiamu had left, she did not travel especially far.

She rented a property with an accompanying yard in a village around two hundred kilometres away from the city centre. The mountains and clear water made for a stunning sight and the villagers were simple but warm people. There were only around thirty households in the village.

The property she rented was located on a mountain. Each day, she only had to walk a short distance to see the sunrise and sunset on the summit.
