Chapter 160: Memories
Both of their gazes moved to Mo Cheng’s stomach at the same time, causing Mo Cheng’s face to turn red.
“Alright, let’s not talk about it anymore. I came here to ask you to eat.” Mo Yan found it funny.
“Oh.” Mo Cheng replied and followed behind Mo Yan.
Mo Cheng’s gaze met with Luo Tao’s as soon as they left the room. Mo Cheng turned his head away awkwardly while Luo Tao took a step forward and pulled Mo Yan into his embrace.
“Has he had enough of acting coquettishly with you?” Luo Tao asked,!!
Mo Yan raised her eyebrows. Did this mean that he wanted her to comfort Mo Cheng on purpose? She glanced at Mo Cheng, who was staring at Luo Tao in amusement.
“Yes, he’s had enough of acting coquettishly, and he’s hungry.”
“Then let’s go eat.”
Luo Tao ignored Mo Cheng’s gaze and held Mo Yan’s hand as they walked out.
“What do you want to eat?”
Mo Cheng, who had been silent all this while, opened his mouth and asked. Luo Tao also looked at Mo Yan. Mo Yan looked back at him and said, “Barbecue! I don’t have any money now. I can’t afford to treat you to Allison Music Restaurant.”
Luo Tao smiled lightly. “Okay.”
…
Mo Yan came back to her senses and realized that everything from yesterday, whether it was about Luo Tao or about Cheng, was still vivid in her mind.
Today, she and Cheng had gone to see their mother because of his identity. Problems were really endless.
Mo Yan sighed.
…
Inside Yong Zhen club in A City, a man in a brown suit was standing in front of the door of the most luxurious room in the club, waiting for the bodyguard to pass on the message.
A moment later, the door was opened, and a few familiar-looking young celebrities walked out. The man saw that no one was coming out, so he walked in.
“Brother Zhen.”
The man in the brown suit bent down slightly with a respectful attitude.
“What’s the emergency? Tell me!”
The man sitting in the middle of the sofa had a rough voice. He picked up his wine glass and took a sip. The smoke in the room made the man cough uncontrollably before he said, “Brother Zhen, I saw Huo Zhen in C City.”
Huo Zheng raised his head and narrowed his eyes at the man.
“Huo Zhen?”
The Huo family was indeed a good looking family. Although Huo Zheng was not as good as Huo Zhen, he was still a handsome and burly uncle.
“Yes.” The man in the brown suit bent his body even deeper.
After Huo Zheng confirmed it again, he casually made a call.
“Is he still there?”
…
“Yes, keep an eye on him.”
After hanging up the phone, Huo Zheng’s eyes stared at the man in the brown suit. His originally handsome face was now slightly distorted and gloomy.
Suddenly, the glass with liquor smashed on the man in the brown suit, causing him to cry out in pain.
“Jiang Ming, you think it’s funny lying to me?”
Huo Zheng’s words were full of viciousness, causing the man named Jiang Ming to kneel down and say that he didn’t dare.
“You have to give me evidence of seeing Huo Zhen in C City.”
Hearing Huo Zhen’s words, Jiang Ming kneeled next to Huo Zhen and handed him the phone.
In the photo, there was a taxi that looked like it had been taken in an emergency. From the window, he could vaguely see a side profile that looked like Huo Zhen.
“This?”
Huo Zheng’s voice became more and more vicious, and there was even a look of anger on his face that turned into a smile.
“I’m sorry, Brother Zhen. I was not careful enough. Because I knew that you wanted to take over Huo Corporation, I was too happy because I thought we had a chance.”
Jiang Ming lowered his head very deeply. Huo Zheng stared at the back of his head for a while before he slowly said, “Alright, go back to C City! Don’t come to A City if you have nothing to do. Don’t let people find out that we met up.”
“Yes, Brother Zhen.”
The reason why Huo Zheng reacted so strongly was that he knew that Huo Zhen had given the Huo family’s latest project to Huo Li. The two of them had signed a contract that no one else was allowed to interfere except for Huo Li. Otherwise, Huo Zheng would have taken back project. This made Huo Zheng loathe Huo Zhen, but at the same time, he was also unhappy with his own brother, Huo Li.
It was not that Huo Zheng could not see that Huo Zhen was playing tricks, but the fact that he could not get any benefits also made him extremely loathe Huo Zhen.
However, because of the news brought by Jiang Ming, he lost his composure.
After Jiang Ming left, Huo Zheng picked up his phone and took a few more glances. It would be better if he didn’t look. The more he looked, the more Huo Zheng felt that the person in the photo looked like Huo Zhen. However, he had already verified with his subordinates that Huo Zhen was not around.
After some thought, Huo Zhen called Jiang Ming, who had already left.
“Go and check on the person in your photo.”
