Chapter 209: Class allocation (8)

A group of students were sweaty and dirty.
And the masters were dressed in white robes and looked like aloof immortals.
The two parties formed a sharp contrast.
Ye Qing Luo brought Liu Xiao Yu over to the middle of the team, both looking clean and refreshed, forming another contrast with the group of students as well.
A few masters’ sight had fallen towards Ye Qing Luo and Liu Xiao Yu, instantly raised their palms upwards with a palm sized wooden token.
The wooden token was shaped like the ones the students held in their hands.
It represented the identity of the masters.
The token recorded every single student’s identity and the profound grade’s details.
And the evaluation that was provided by the instructor based on the past two days training.
If the masters want to know any information of a student, they would just need to look at the token and read the student’s name in silence and all details would be revealed.
The masters looked at their wooden tokens for a while and began discussing among themselves.
When the bell rang at 5pm, Instructor Chu and Instructor Ho called out the remaining sixty students who hadn’t finished their training to join back the team.
“Now, Elder Yun Xiang will assign the classes to you.”
Instructor Chu stood by the side of the team with a loud voice.
“The class allocation is based on the previous assessments and the two-day freshman training’s comprehensive results to assign the classes.”
“No matter which class you are assigned to, you are all students of the Heaven Academy, if you find it unfair, then prove us otherwise by improving your ability in a year’s time.”
The Heavenly Academy had a rule.
Every year, the school would organise a three-class match.
For example, students in the low profound grade class could challenge students from the intermediate class after passing their low-class appraisal.
The challenge opponent would be randomly picked by the Heavenly Pagoda.
If the student from the low class win the victory, their status would be upgraded to intermediate class.
The other student from the intermediate class would then be downgraded to the low class.
Should the lower-class student fail to win the match, they would then have to wait for the opportunity next year.
The challenged intermediate class student on the other hand would receive prizes given by the Heavenly Pagoda.
This rule may seem to be a cruel elimination system, but it was indeed a good competitive method.
Only pressure could drive people to motivate them and stimulate their potential.
Survival of the fittest under the toughest environment.
“Are you ready?” Instructor Ho bellowed in a loud voice.
All the students, though exhausted but answered simultaneously: “Ready!”
The two instructors eagerly walked towards the row of masters: “Elder Yun Xiang you can start to distribute the classes.”
An elderly slowly stood up among the masters.
Ye Qing Luo then discovered that the elderly’s white robe was different from other masters.
The brim of his collar and sleeves were embroidered with gold threads, belt was also covered in golden tiger pattern and five red bars on the badge on his chest.
“Ahem…” The eldery master cleared his throat, his face showed a benevolent smile.
“I am Elder Yun Xiang of the school, a big welcome to all students that enter into the Heavenly Academy, you have all worked hard to pass the various assessments to come to this stage.”
The freshmen instantly shook their heads: “Not hard, not hard!”
The smile on Elder Yun Xiang was softer.
When his gaze collided with Ye Qing Luo’s, her sharp instincts felt that Elder Yun Xiang had paused on her for a moment.
Just a glance, Ye Qing Luo was able to tell a flash of chill ray appeared in his eyes.
Elderly Yun Xiang seemed to….. detest her?
Before she could take a closer look, Elder Yun Xiang had already shifted his sight, his kind smile remained on his face.
“Everyone please wait for a short moment, let me discuss with the rest of the masters before I begin to allocate the classes.”
The freshmen responded loudly: “Yes!”
