Chapter 497
Dio grew tired as he saw no point in this pointless fighting. So, he stood up and told Scott to come along.
“Where do we have to go now?” Scott asked curiously.
“Back to Wakanda, of course. CIA is still chasing after you here.” Dio said as he winked at him.
“Oh, sure! Let’s go.” Scott said as he noticed that Dio was plotting something.
“You are not allowed to leave! Not until Janet is rescued!” Hank said as he dropped his banter with Bill. Scott was a little embarrassed, as he knew that Hank and Hope had done so much for him, but he knew that Dio’s word was meant to remind Hank of his original goal.
“Hank, why are you so obnoxious? Even if you gave Scott the Ant-Man Suit, it doesn’t mean that he will give you his life in return!” Dio said coldly.
“How dare you! Did you ever think of what he is going to be right now, his daughter too? That is all because of you!” Hank said furiously.
“It doesn’t matter! The King of Wakanda has promised to provide a sanctuary and a stealth jet for Scott to travel between Wakanda and here easily. Plus, if I want to take Scott with me, I will surely make sure that my guest is comfortable, but what are you doing to your guest now?” Dio said indifferently.
Hank was obviously enraged after hearing Dio’s word, but Bill was looking at Dio with complicated emotion. Obviously, he felt that Dio was so cool!
“What on earth did you want from us?” Hope asked annoyedly.
“I just want to invite all of you to Wakanda, where you would be able to research the quantum realm safely without worrying that anyone could steal the project away! If I were your enemy, I would easily snatch Hope and threatened to kill her unless you hand over your research to me!” Dio said casually.
Hank’s face contorted as he started to realise the seriousness of the situation.
“Is this a threat?” Hank asked carefully.
“It wasn’t, but now that you understand that we are all serious, it’s better if you calm down, isn’t it? It’d be better if we all work together now.” Dio said casually.
Han was pale as he could do nothing about Dio now, and Scott couldn’t be counted on in this situation.
“Mr. Dio, if I heard it correctly, you came here to seek our cooperation, right? So, can you give us some respect?” Hope said calmly.
“It seems you still don’t understand the situation here. So let me get this straight. First, I have no interest in your quantum research, second, Bill and Eva didn’t necessarily have to cooperate with you, and third, hadn’t I found out what you were doing this time, Bill and Eva would’ve already stolen your hard work!” Dio said as he laughed. “I found the fight is unnecessary, and it’s best to have both parties cooperate, isn’t that right?”
“Now, let us see your skill, Eva, so that they can understand what is going on,” Dio asked casually.
Eva immediately smiled and walked towards Hope menacingly. Scott tried to stop Eva as he knew that Hope didn’t have any defensive equipment on, but he was shocked to see that Eva just phased through him without any effort. In the next instance, Eva handled Hope easily with one hand and choked Hank with another.
“Now, that’s enough!” Dio said as he clapped his hand, and Eva immediately let them both go.
“So, what do you say? Even if Scott were here, he wouldn’t be able to stop Eva, and so, if you still insist on being stubborn, I would leave with Scott, and you are free to handle Hank and Eva by yourself! And I almost forgot that Eva’s full name is Eva Starr! The daughter of Elijah Starr, I believe you are also familiar with that name.” Dio said casually.
After hearing the name of Eva’s father, Hank’s furious face immediately changed into a gaze of guilt. Even so, he would never admit that he really did something wrong back in the day.
The truth to be said, if it weren’t for Janet’s support, Hank would’ve probably died alone!
“I promise that once Janet is rescued, I will collect enough quantum energy to treat her. But that is the extent of it. I would never share my technology with anyone else!” Hank said his final decision.
A flash of excitement flashed on Eva’s face. No one really knew how much pain she was in and how much she already endured. With each second passing, her cells were torn apart and regrew, torturing her endlessly.
And now, she had a hope to live a normal life!
