The rising sun shone on the bed through the floor to ceiling window. The sunshine was like a naughty
child, running around the woman's face.
Lily put her hands in front of her eyes. She felt a little tired and sleepy, so she closed her eyes for a
while before she slowly opened them.
She reached out to pick up her phone from the bedside table. Bob still didn't reply her.
After lying on the bed for another few minutes, she got up hastily. After washing up, she went
downstairs and saw Kevin having breakfast slowly.
"I will be there on the day of the trial." Hearing the man's words, Lily just turned a deaf ear to him. She
walked silently to the side and poured herself a glass of hot milk.
"Bob is missing." However, what Kevin said next made her hands become stiff. The milk came out of
the cup and spread on her hand.
"What happened?" Putting down the things in her hands, Lily trotted to the man and looked down at
him.
Kevin said nothing and shrugged.
"Is it you?" She began to speak without careful diction.
All of a sudden, Kevin raised his head and looked right into Lily's eyes. Then he sneered, "Miss Wen,
you are really something!"
If he wanted to make trouble, did he have to tell her?
She was so heartless and cold-blooded.
Frowning, Lily seemed a little sober. She sat down on the chair and asked Kevin, "what happened?"
No wonder she couldn't get in touch with Bob. He was missing.
The time for trial was coming soon, but the defending lawyer was unable to keep in touch. This was
definitely the trick of the person behind them!
"I don't know exactly." Kevin looked away, peeled the bread for Lily and pushed it in front of her.
However, she had no appetite at all. With a worried look on her face, she continued, "whether the
lawyers in company could......"
Before she finished her words, she suddenly remembered her decisive refusal yesterday. Her body
instantly stiffened and stopped speaking.
"Of course." Kevin replied without hesitation.
"Really?" Lily's eyes lit up, and then she turned around subconsciously and grabbed Kevin's sleeve,
staring at him with gleaming eyes.
Kevin nodded slightly.
"Thank you." Lily let out a sigh of relief and let go of Kevin.
Knowing that Bob had disappeared, she called him again after Kevin left, but his phone was still off.
Now, she totally believed what Kevin said.
Lily came to the detective agency and asked them to investigate it. She speculated that if Bob was
kidnapped, he must have grasped an important clue and evidence.
If Bob runs away, she would chase him back and then punish him.
In just one day, the detective agency had reported the result. After Bob checked out in the bar, he went
out for a while. Then they couldn't see him in the following video.
The reason why they could investigate so quickly was that what he did in the bar was too abnormal,
which was remembered by the waiter especially. As soon as they found the waiter, they had known
exactly when and where Bob left.
Lily found the grass with people from the detective agency, only to see the trampled grass and dried
blood.
"I'm afraid that Mr. Wang had been in trouble." Seeing such a result, for no reason, Lily couldn't help
but complain.
Kevin knew that Bob was missing. But he didn't know the reason. There must be suspicion in it.
With his identity, why couldn't he investigate such a simple thing clear?
He just wanted to hide it from everyone.
Or...... This was clearly what he did.
Thinking of this, Lily clenched her fists and said to the detective, "please continue the investigation."
She went straight to the company from the detective agency and found Kevin. Finally, she couldn't help
but ask, "what happened to Bob?"
After she was taken to prison by Kevin to see her father successfully, she didn't hate him as much as
before.
Originally, she only hoped that whether Kevin stepped in the affairs of her family or not, as long as he
could save her father, she would be grateful.
However, Kevin disappointed her again and again.
Seeing that Lily pointed at him with her index finger angrily, Kevin smiled and asked, "you think it's
me?"
"Isn't it true?" Irritated by the man's attitude of avoidance, Lily raised the corner of her mouth and said,
"just answer me yes or no. If you ask rhetorically, it shows a sign of a guilty conscience."
"Lily, watch your language." Kevin sneered.
Kevin's cold and spooky breath made Lily subconsciously resist, but she wouldn't make a concession.
"Please tell me the truth. Why you know that Bob is missing, but don't know the reason of this?"
All of a sudden, Kevin fell into silence. Seeing his awkward behavior, Lily continued, "this is enough
evidence to prove that I have every reason to doubt you."
The pen in his hand was smashed against the wall by Kevin, which scared Lily. She shivered
unconsciously.
"If you have to think in this way......" Hearing what Kevin said, Lily shook her head immediately and
denied, "I don't want to think so. But your behavior revealed the truth of all this."
"Kevin, you just want to see what a fool I am!" Lily shouted, and she couldn't hold back her tears
anymore.
She looked up at the sky in a hurry, but her tears were still streaming down.
In the end, she couldn't help but burst into tears.
Her cry hit Kevin's heart hard one after another. He was going to reach out his hands to hold her in his
arms and comfort her, but was dodged by Lily.
He withdrew his hands in silence. "It's not me."
With tears welling up in her big eyes, Lily stared at him fixedly. It seemed that she believed what he
said, but it also seemed that she was suspecting.
"Really?" She calmed down after a while and asked him in a low voice.
As long as Kevin said yes, she was willing to believe it.
"Yes." Upon hearing his reply, Lily suddenly let out a sigh of relief. Her voice was a little hoarse
because she had cried.
"Have you stepped in the affairs of our family?"
This time, Kevin was silent.
After knowing the answer, Lily felt like thousands of needles were stabbing into her heart. She bit her
lips, "I got it."
The man still didn't answer.
"Then...... Can you save my father?" Lily asked suddenly.
Kevin raised his head and glanced at her. The woman was careful, with a faint sadness and
compromise in her eyes.
"I will try my best." About a minute later, he finally broke the silence.
However......
He was afraid that it will let her down.
There was no room for manoeuvre in Haber's case.
