The Islanders immediately came to their senses after hearing that name.
‘He‘s the one that killed Naoto?!‘
The Islanders kneeling on the ground all sprung up before surrounding Harvey with longswords
unsheathed from their waists. At that moment, the blades were all aimed at his throat.
“Harvey York!”
Makoto walked up steadily while glaring at Harvey coldly.
“You killed my brother! How dare you crash into my brother‘s mourning hall!? Not only did you ram into
my men, but you also humiliated my father! You will pay with your life! You think us mighty Islanders are
just cowards?! Toby Clarke himself won‘t even dare do anything if I were to slice you in half!”
Makoto was boiling with anger. He never thought that Harvey would just show up on his own like that.
This was truly humiliating for him. At this point, Harvey was plainly disrespecting the Islanders.
The Islanders screamed furiously, feeling disgraced. They wanted to chop Harvey into pieces badly.
“You‘ve crossed the line, Harvey!” Carol yelled.” You think you can do whatever you want just because
you have Governor Clarke behind your back?! You killed a man! You‘ve violated the mourning hall!
You‘re humiliating our foreign
friends! Do you have a death wish or something?!”
Harvey narrowed his eyes at Carol.
“You think I killed Naoto? If I wanted him dead, he would‘ve died last night! You think he has the right
for me to dirty my hands?”
Harvey kicked the person he carried to the ground.
“This woman saw the evidence. Why don‘t you ask her if I‘m really the murderer?”
The Islanders looked over instinctively before screaming, “M’lady!”
Even Makoto was stunned. He didn‘t think that Rumiko would end up in Harvey‘s hands.
Carol had a bad feeling after seeing what happened.
“What‘s the meaning of this, Harvey?!” Makoto demanded coldly. “Is it not enough for you to kill my
brother, so you plan to rob my sister from me as well?! Do you think there isn’t
anyone in the Takei family who can take you down?!”
“Are you dumb?” Harvey replied. “If I wanted her dead, why would I bring her here in the first place? I
took her to the Hong Kong Police Station this afternoon and looked at Leslie‘s car recorder along with
the Clarke family‘s surveillance cameras. As it turns out, there was no time for me to make the kill, nor
did I even try to. The fingerprint they found was in reverse, meaning that someone took it from another
place and placed it on the sword. This should be enough to prove that I didn‘t kill that filth inside the
coffin now, right?”
Harvey‘s calm words completely silenced the entire crowd. Naturally, he had nothing to hide since he
took Rumiko to look at the evidence.
‘Did he really not kill Naoto?‘
After hearing Harvey‘s words, cold sweat ran
down Carol‘s back. She wrung her hands together nervously. She wanted nothing more than to make a
few phone calls, but she held herself back to prevent raising any suspicions.
Makoto‘s eyes twitched slightly while studying Rumiko with narrowed eyes and a profound look on his
face.
