Anita pursed her lips in dissatisfaction as she watched her son's movements.Kirk glanced at Linda
before turning back to Cecil.
"What are you going to do about this matter?"
"You don't have to worry about it.I will solve it myself.” Kirk's eyebrows creased together in frustration,
and his voice rose as he said, "We don't worry about or interfere in any of your business, but this
matter could affect the reputation and dignity of the whole Bo family. How could Martin deceive us like
this? Does he take us as fools?"
"Uncle Ye has given us his daughter, just like he said he would," Cecil replied calmly.
The implication in his words was self-evident.
The marriage between the Ye family and the Bo family was already established.
Kirk threw Linda a discontent glance and asked Cecil, "So, are you going to live with her?"
Cecil kept mum for a few seconds before looking up at Kirk.
"Dad, I have my own plans."
At this, Anita gasped.
"Cecil, we can't just let it go."
Cecil stayed silent, clenching his jaw imperceptibly.
Aimee, who had been silent so far, said, "Cecil, if Leona finds out that you married her sister, she will
be sad."
Cecil snorted and said nothing.
Seeing that his son didn't intend to elaborate on his plan, Kirk stood up from the sofa and said, "You
can do whatever you want, but remember, the Bo family and the Bo Group cannot be disgraced."
"Of course.Don't worry," Cecil answered quickly.
Throughout the conversation, Linda stayed silent, staring guiltily at her shoes. She knew that she had
no right to speak, let alone the right to feel wronged.
After all, she was the one at fault.
Whether she was slapped or mocked, she had to bear it all in silence.
After Kirk walked away, Anita pretended as if Linda didn't exist and flashed her son an affectionate
smile.
"Cecil, stay and have lunch here.I've told the chef to cook your favorite dishes."
Aimee, too, walked over and sat next to Cecil with a smile.
Holding his arm, she said, "Yes, it's been a long time since we had a meal together the last time."
Cecil smiled back at her, but his smile didn't quite reach his eyes.
Then, he turned to his mother and said, "Mom, there's no need for all that. Our guest would not feel
comfortable eating with you."
Anita was speechless. She couldn't refute his statement, nor did she want to treat Linda in a welcoming
way.
Cecil stood up from the sofa and looked at Linda, who was still staring down at her shoes.
Before he could say anything, she stood up, as if she had read his mind. She still had her eyes lowered,
and her lips were pressed tightly together.
Looking at her like this, Cecil felt a flash of pity.He swallowed hard and said, "Let's go."
"Okay," she replied in a low voice.
Then, she followed him out of the living room.
Once the two of them were gone, Anita turned to Aimee with a slight smile.
"Aimee, don't tell your father about this matter when you go home.He will be upset if he finds out."
Aimee nodded obediently.
"Okay, Auntie, don't worry."
Anita held her hand and patted her on the shoulder.
If she could have it her way, Aimee wouldn't have known about this matter at all.
But alas, her niece had happened to be around when she had found out about what the Ye family had
done.
Aimee's father, Ellis Bo, had always been unpredictable.
As the second largest shareholder of the Bo Group, he was almost as powerful as Kirk and Cecil.
However, Kirk had always regarded Ellis as his beloved younger brother, so he had never put his guard
up against him.
