The marriage proposal, or perhaps a birthday celebration... Zhao Lifei couldn't find the proper words to describe tonight. In the end, she settled with both.
All seven courses of dinner were served and their night was coming to a close, or so she thought. Her stomach was stuffed — something he ensured and she definitely did not mind. Later, they got into a car and she assumed they were heading home.
Zhao Lifei gently leaned her head upon his shoulder and surprised him by grabbing his hand first, holding it with both of her tiny ones.
Yang Feng watched her play with his long fingers. She had a silly smile on her face, oblivious to the tender look on his. Using one of her fingers, she poked his thumb, then smiled up at him, her eyes crinkling. Her dimples were very prominent and he wanted to pinch her cheek.
"Pst, pst, I have a secret to tell you." She whispered to him, urging him to lean his head down so that she could access his ears.
Yang Feng was highly intrigued by what she had to say and willingly obliged. "Hm? What is it?"
Like a schoolgirl, she excitedly reached up, cupped his ears with her hands, and whispered: "I love you." She sat back down with a grin. Her words and actions struck a chord in his heart and she delivered the final blow by suddenly grabbing his upper arm, tugging him down and sealing her lips over his in a quick kiss.
"As you already know, I'm very stubborn, spoiled at times, and a little bit crazy, I hope you know what you're getting yourself into." She whispered to him, her eyes dropping on the rings resting on her right hand. She ran a finger over it, her heart hammering against her chest.
The thought of being his lawfully married wife was still a very surreal dream to her. Sometimes she would catch herself pinching her arm to wake herself up from this euphoric dream. Every time she did not, she would get a bit emotional. This was her heavenly reality.
"Throw your worst at me and I'll turn it into the best." Yang Feng raised his hand and cupped the back of her head, bringing her face towards him more. Her quick kiss ignited the flames within him, one that he thought she could relinquish when he kissed her, but instead, she seemed to be fanning it.
Zhao Lifei's eyes fluttered closed as they shared a soft, slow kiss that eventually turned more steamy than she anticipated. She could feel herself scooting backward, and he followed her until she was pressed against the window. One of his arms snaked around her waist, yanking her onto his lap, molding her lithe body against his. His other hand slipped behind her head, angling her lips to align it with his whilst the kiss deepened.
Zhao Lifei could feel something hard press against her thigh and when she tried to adjust her legs, a growl left Yang Feng's lips. Her eyes widened when the arm around her waist snapped to her thigh, holding it in place.
He pulled back and in a rough, hoarse voice, grunted, "Don't move it."
Not giving her the chance to respond, he captured her lips again. The more he kissed or touched her, the more he wanted it, and it was an addiction he would never give up. She let out a quiet moan, sending him off the edge. He wanted to gently kiss her since it was a special day for her. But she was squirming on his lap and releasing small moans that sent his control spiraling.
Zhao Lifei's hands slid up his chest, gliding on his neck, and reaching both sides of his face where she rested them. She could feel herself getting light-headed, as his kisses always did to her, and with nothing to hold on to, she could only succumb to it.
Something warm pooled in her lower stomach, the same sensation she felt when he explored the world down there with his mouth. The feeling intensified when one hand traveled to her breast, grazing the sensitive area. Without warning, he roughly grabbed it, squeezing it, her back arching whilst a pleasured sound traveled out of her mouth.
"This is mine." He muttered to her, yanking her to him until not a single slip of paper could get through their bodies. His hand slipped to her waist, squeezing it. "This is also mine." He growled, his lips trailing a kiss upon her neck. "And this." He went lower, enjoying the fact that her dress gave him access to everything he wanted. His hands were beginning to slip lower now, reaching the edge of her little black dress.
She was the first to pull back, gasping for air, her eyes completely clouded and out of focus. She did not realize the sight of her slightly panting only turned him on more and when she met his fiery gaze, she shivered. He looked like he was ready to take her right then and there. His glances dropped to her slightly swollen and moisten lips. He decided the ruby-red would be his second favorite color, aside from the pink flush of her skin when she reacted to him.
When he leaned forward, ready for round two, she blurted out, "We should continue when we get home. I-I don't want to do it in a car."
Yang Feng stiffened, reality crashing down upon him. He was so entangled and distracted by her, he had forgotten where they were. Luckily, the partition was placed up a very long time ago. He let out a smooth chuckle and kept his hands a safe distance from any intimate areas. "We're not heading home just yet."
Like a boggled baby deer, she tilted her head to the side, her hair cascading like a waterfall. "Where are we going then?"
Yang Feng deemed it was too dangerous to have her on his lap in a moving car. He placed her back onto her seat.
"Somewhere we have both been to once." He lifted his head to look out the window where the car was finally rolling up to their destination. Through her thick and long lashes, she peered out with him and was bewildered to see weirdly shaped, pitch-black buildings.
The car came to a halt and Yang Feng was the first to exit the car. He came to the other side and opened the door for her, offering his large, rough hand to hers. She was skeptical of the location. Because he was here and she, without a doubt, trusted him from the bottom of her heart, she placed her hand into his. With him present, she did not get the jitters when she stepped out of the car.
Yang Feng snapped his fingers and the world came into life. Hundreds of lights, of different colors, were being emitted from the rides of the amusement park. At night, it was a completely different scene. It was bewitchingly beautiful, the beguiling lights called out to her and she was eager to try everything here.
"I rented out the amusement park for us." He took her hand and guided her through the entrance. With childlike wonder, she was excitedly surveying her surroundings, her head moving with her eyes. Her lips were parted and she was practically bouncing on her feet with excitement.
"We can get on the rides all night long—"
"I love it so much, thank you!" She jumped onto him, hugging him tightly like a teddy bear.
Before he could recover from the shock, she grabbed his hand and dragged in towards the rollercoaster that greeted them at the entrance. "Let's go, let's go! Can we ride that one, pleaseee?" She was practically begging him, pointing towards the death trap in front of him.
His face paled a bit. It was one of the rides they never got onto the last time they came here. He purposely detoured her from it for a reason. It was the fastest rollercoaster here with the worst and craziest loops, spins, and all sorts of jumble things.
'At least it was better than the haunted house…' He begrudgingly comforted himself.
For the sake of the bubbly child hanging on his arm, staring up at him with her puppy-eyes, he hurriedly nodded his head.
"Let's go then." His voice was a bit constricted for his body was beginning to shut down and become stiff as a rock. Unaware of his reaction, she squealed and began to drag him towards the ride. It was one of the first times she was able to overpower him. From her barely contained excitement, she did not realize she had superhuman strength to be able to drag the frozen statue behind her.
All staff were ready and on standby for the couple, so when Zhao Lifei and Yang Feng got onto the platform, all of them were prepared to greet them. "Good evening, Mrs. Zhao and Mr. Yang. Welcome—"
"Strap us in." Yang Feng snapped, not in the mood for formalities or greetings. The only thing keeping him sane and not bolting off of the platform was the energy bunny beside him.
"Let's sit in the front, Yang Feng! The view is the best from there."
The front?! Why not the back? He wanted to complain about this abuse but she was so happy about it, the words left his brain and he could not think properly. "Of course. To the front, we go." He replied in a robotic voice, marching and walking like the robot he was.
