After Yang Feng ordered a normal portion which was one dish, he turned back to the excited Zhao Lifei. He was going to ask her if she was alright, but seeing her bubbly expression, the question left his thought. He was left to foolishly smile at his wife like the whipped husband he was.
"Is our baby hungry?" He teased her, clasping his hand over hers.
She tilted her head, unsure of which baby he was referring to. Was it her or the actual baby? "I don't know. I just feel really hungry today."
Unlike the expecting mother, Yang Feng's eyes lit up. A big appetite indicates signs of twins, doesn't it?! Maybe he could have his soccer team early! "Really now?"
Zhao Lifei nodded her head, "I also want desserts."
Yang Feng shrugged, "I don't see why not. As long as it's not ice cream, you will be fine." He was already formulating different girl names inside of his head for when his twins arrive. Their baby was barely the size of a blueberry, yet here he was, already getting ahead of himself by eight months.
"I saw Su Meixiu at the restaurant." Zhao Lifei finally said to him. "Also, why is my lawyer one of your men? I hired him when Feili was a brand-new company. How did you get in touch with him?"
"Su Meixiu was sent by me. During your disappearance, Wei Hantao had reached out to her for a collaboration. Supposedly, he had evidence that could bring your downfall." Yang Feng answered her. A second later, a knock sounded throughout the room and the food was brought in.
The utensils were already in Zhao Lifei's hands when the first dish was placed in front of her. Soon, the table was filled with food. She cheekily grinned at him. His lips tilted upwards into an amused smile, "Dig in, my love."
She didn't need to be told twice when she sliced through the roasted salmon flavored with citrus and rosemary.
"When it was revealed you were the owner of Feili, I researched who was working for you. Nian Zewan happened to be a good friend from college." He tested the water with the slow reveal of information. Seeing that she wasn't angry by his actions, he continued, "I needed to make sure the people working for you were loyal and honest."
"And were they?"
Yang Feng raised his head. It was impressive how she was able to sort the good from the bad. "I'm sure you already know the answer to that since you single-handedly handled the hiring process yourself."
Zhao Lifei still found it amusing that she had the time to hire so many people at once. Employees were crucial to a company and even if they were bound under a contract, she was still paranoid enough to personally look into all of them. The only problem was, she trusted Wei Hantao too much to look into his family's connection with the Zhengs.
Speaking about the Zhengs, she thought back to Zheng Corporation. "Did you do something to Zheng Tianyi?"
Yang Feng thought back to the frazzled man that previously occupied the black room. His body was so tortured and brutalized by Guo Sheng, words couldn't describe the action or the burly men that entered the room to further ruin Zheng Tianyi. He didn't want his wife to messy or dirty her hands. Even if she said she didn't want any remembrance of her petty past, Yang Feng was willing to be petty for her. Zheng Tianyi's actions will not go unpunished and even today, he was still suffering the consequences of what he had done. The pampered and spoiled CEO who was born with a golden spoon was currently suffering in a mental facility to recuperate before Yang Feng sent him off to Guo Sheng as a toy. "You don't have to worry about him."
"Then what is going to happen to the company? I heard they're attempting to rebuild themselves up, but this time, the President is Zheng Hechong's youngest son."
Zhao Lifei felt something was off. She knew Zheng Hechong had five sons and the second was supposed to be the best candidate, so why was the fifth son in the CEO chair? Unless… Her head snapped up to Yang Feng. "Did you force Zheng Hechong to give Zheng Murong the position?"
"Yes. Zheng Murong is a lot easier to control than his older brothers." Yang Feng easily responded. This was classified information, but because it was his wife, he didn't mind answering her questions.
"You handed him a position that he could only dream of." Zhao Lifei slowly said, "In return, you gain his loyalty." She shook her head. "It's a good choice. Although it would be nice to see the ruin of the Zheng family as a whole, there are still a lot of qualities in them that can benefit us."
Yang Feng was going to have control of not only one, but two of the big three companies in Shenbei. She had to commend him for his actions. He was too overpowered. No one could defy him now. No one could overturn his decisions. He was eliminating all of the dangers and enemies in this city.
But why…?
He could read her question on her face. "I did it for your protection. No one will be able to harm our family."
"Our family?" She repeated, thinking about the Yangs and Zhaos.
"Our, as in you, me, and our soccer team." He answered her in a heartbeat. Deeply touched by his actions and words, she felt her heart race and her eyes water. Seriously, could he get any more perfect? Forget about saving a country in her past life, did she save the entire world or something?!

After their fulfilling lunch, Zhao Lifei entered the black Maybach with Yang Feng. She was stuffed from all of the food she ate but felt guilty for not finishing all of it. Even though the leftover was just a few more bites, she wished she wore a looser pair of pants. The two entered a comfortable silence until she suddenly said, "Excluding substitutes, a soccer team of children means eleven kids."
"Only eleven?"
"ONLY?!" She repeated, glaring at him. "Just so you know, I'm not giving you more than three or four."
He sulked.
She scowled.
"Why don't you have the kids instead? Maybe then you'll know how much pain I will be going through to give birth." She huffed, crossing her arms. He leaned closer to her and wrapped his arm around her shoulders.
"I was merely joking." It was partially the truth, though. Yang Feng wanted as many children as he could healthily have with her. He didn't know why he wanted so many. All he wanted was to have as much living memories of their love as possible. "I will be beyond content and satisfied with one if it makes you happy, my love."
"I was hoping to have a son and a daughter." Zhao Lifei answered him, her words bringing him joy. He pictured a smaller version of her, perhaps one that resembled his Xiao Lili…
"Of course. Anything that pleases you, will please me." He tenderly kissed her forehead, desiring a passionate make-out session. However, with how easily he lost his control around her, he decided those were best reserved for the bedroom…unless she wanted to try different locations…
Unfortunately for him, Hu Wei spoke up and said, "Sir, Madam, we have arrived at the Imperial Star Mall."
Zhao Lifei straightened up after remembering her devious plan.
"Wait in the car." He whispered to her, exiting the car and walking to her side, opening the door for her. He offered her a hand to which she accepted with a slight chuckle and smile.
"I believe this is the first time you did this for me." She answered him, adjusting her clothes and slightly fixing his tie.
"Really now?" He was taken back a bit, "I didn't know."
Zhao Lifei tilted her head, "That's alright. Don't do it so frequently." She grabbed his hand and interlocked their fingers. She presented him with an innocent smile that completely fooled him on what she planned on doing next.
