Chapter 598: His Heartbeat Actually Sped Up

“Yeah.” Gu Mian nodded.

“Go and get us two bowls of porridge. Let’s eat it with steamed buns,” Tang Zui said and dragged Gu Mian into the kitchen.

Gu Yan was hungry too. She was about to say that she wanted some steamed buns too when she remembered what she had said just now. When she recalled that Tang Zui would be bringing her for some pan-fried buns later, she braced through the hunger.

“Go ahead and eat. I’ll go and get changed,” Gu Yan said and ran happily into the guest room.

By the time Gu Mian walked into the dining hall with two bowls of porridge, Tang Zui had placed two sets of spoons and chopsticks on the table.

Gu Mian was still wondering what was wrong with her younger sister when Tang Zui sat her down. “Eat up. We still have something to attend to later.”

“Okay.”

Tang Zui and Gu Mian started eating. Gu Mian had a small appetite, and she was full after having two small steamed buns. Tang Zui made her eat another one and finished the rest.

When Gu Yan walked out and saw both of them eating together, she felt that the atmosphere was warm and lovely. She suddenly felt jealous. She really wished that she was the one sitting opposite Tang Zui and having breakfast instead.

After they had breakfast, Tang Zui drove off with Gu Mian and Gu Yan in the car. Gu Yan willfully insisted on sitting in the front passenger seat, and since Gu Mian doted on her younger sister a lot, she naturally did not say anything about it. Surprisingly, Tang Zui showed no objection either.

Tang Zui stopped his car beside a small shop selling pan-fried buns and said, “We’re here.”

Gu Yan immediately got out of the car happily. She was even trying to come up with ways to send her older sister away as she did not want Gu Mian to be in the way.

Tang Zui immediately locked the car. He wound down the car window and tossed a hundred RMB out of the car. “I’m sure that this money is more than enough for you to buy pan-fried buns.”

After he said that, he drove away. Gu Mian tried to open the car door but failed. She looked a little anxiously at her younger sister who was left behind and asked, “Tang Zui, what are you doing? Why did you leave Yan’er alone there?”

“Didn’t she say that she wanted pan-fried buns? She’s not a little girl anymore, so she can just take a cab to school after she’s done eating. Something seemed to have happened with Qianxun.” Tang Zui changed the topic.

Gu Mian was still worried, and she turned to look at Gu Yan again. But she thought about what Tang Zui said and felt that it made sense.

“What happened to Qianxun?”

“I’m not sure. Why don’t we head over and take a look to find out what happened?” Tang Zui drove towards the headquarters of Long Corporation.

…..

After Ye Gu reported what happened to Long Sijue, Long Sijue immediately ordered all his men to look for Su Qianxun. He wanted to know where this young woman was as soon as possible!

…..

Su Qianxun woke up in an unfamiliar place. Shocked, she immediately rose and looked at her body. She only felt a little more at ease when she saw that she was still wearing clothes.

‘But where am I?’

She only remembered being hit by a car.

Someone opened the room door, and Su Qianxun furrowed her eyebrows a little when she saw the man standing at the doorway. “Li Junye, why are you here?”

“You know my second brother?” Li Junyu entered the room with his hands in his pockets.

“Your second brother? You’re not Li Junye, are you?” Su Qianxun furrowed her eyebrows again as she looked at the man before her. ‘Could it be that this man is Li Junye’s twin brother?’

She sized up the man who was walking towards her. He looked just like Li Junye, but the aura he emanated was a lot colder than that of Li Junye’s.

“My name is Li Junyu. My driver accidentally hit you, and since I had something urgent to attend to, I brought you home with me,” Li Junyu explained.

Su Qianxun stayed silent. Even though she knew that the man before her was not the Li Junye she knew, she still found it very strange…

“Third young master, the eldest young master is here,” a bodyguard reported.

“Okay. I’ll go and see my eldest brother first. Go ahead and rest for a bit more.” Li Junye’s gaze was fixed on the young woman before him. He found it very strange that his heartbeat actually sped up when he looked at her like this.
