Chapter 29 - Snow White and Pale Red

The central public square on Saturday was very crowded.

Ji Liao got off the bus and immediately spotted the person waiting for him in the crowd. When he thought of the kiss that he wanted last night and the other boy’s reaction, his face felt slightly hot.

Reaching home last night, he realised that he had done many extreme and daring things, even being courageous enough to seduce He Cheng Ming!

After his enticement, the originally empty place in his heart had been filled to the brim, and this he did not regret.

Trotting over, he saw that Lin Jiang was also here, and beside him was Gu Ming Ren!

Lin Jiang had sharp eyes and upon seeing him, he called out to him enthusiastically, “Ji Liao!”

Finally, there was someone he could talk to.

Lin Jiang had been miserable. He was invited by Gu Ming Ren to watch a movie, saying something along the lines about tickets for two being half their individual price. Oh please, would he, the young master of the magnificent Gu family, care about these few dollars?

After realising that he had been duped, he wanted to return home immediately. But Gu Ming Ren threatened to pick on his school uniform regulations and to have him write a daily review if he dared to leave.

Fuck his life. In any case, he was still He Cheng Ming’s younger brother. Out of deference, should Gu Ming Ren be going this far as to do this to him?

Moreover, why would two guys watch a movie together? They weren’t engaging in any homosexual practices. Weird.

Just when they were stuck in a standoff, he saw He Cheng Ming like a bright and shining saviour. Lin Jiang ran over eagerly to greet him, “Ming Ge! What are you doing here?”

He Cheng Ming raised his eyebrows upon seeing him, then Gu Ming Ren appeared in his line of sight with a dark expression, and he understood at last.

“Watching a movie,” he said expressionlessly.

Lin Jiang was overjoyed. “I’m also watching a movie! Ming Ge, which one?”

He Cheng Ming was annoyed. He gave Gu Ming Ren a meaningful look, signaling him to take Lin Jiang away and to not interfere with his date with Ji Liao.

Gu Ming Ren feigned ignorance as he knew that the excuse he had made up was too weak to deceive Lin Jiang. This was just right. With He Cheng Ming around, he would not need to fear that this son of a bitch would run away again.

“Such a coincidence. Let’s watch together?” He came over and asked.

He Cheng Ming looked at him and let out a laugh, “I didn’t think that you, Gu Ming Ren, would have such a perfect day.”

“Yes, yes, Ming Ge, let’s watch together.” Lin Jiang was afraid of Gu Ming Ren’s hidden agenda; he always felt that Gu Ming Ren had no good intentions towards him. Now that he saw He Cheng Ming, who was like family to him, he couldn’t leave him.

“No, I have an appointment.” He Cheng Ming refused coldly. It was his first time watching a movie with Ji Liao and he didn’t want two third wheels nearby.

He turned around, eager to walk away, but Gu Ming Ren held his shoulder and gave a bitter laugh, “Help me out.”

This was somewhat unexpected to He Cheng Ming. Recalling from memory, this was Gu Ming Ren’s first time asking him for help. Glancing at Lin Jiang, who was straighter than a steel bar, He Cheng Ming felt that Gu Ming Ren was in a more difficult position than him. So, he decided to be a good guy and agreed.

Since then, the three of them had waited for Ji Liao.

When Ji Liao arrived, Lin Jiang kept pestering him. Although, from time to time, his Ming Ge would throw daggers at him with his eyes, but compared to being with Gu Ming Ren, he would rather take the eye daggers, which was at least, to him, a means of survival.

Arriving at the cinema, He Cheng Ming went to collect the tickets. He had originally booked the entire theatre, but after an explanation to the ticketing personnel, he received four tickets: Ji Liao and him were located in the last row while Lin Jiang and Gu Ming Ren were in the middle.

Lin Jiang’s face turned green when he saw the tickets. He stammered, “This…can this be changed?”

He Cheng Ming glared at him. “Why? Do you want to sit between me and Ji Liao?”

Of course he didn’t dare to, thus Lin Jiang obediently kept silent.

Beside him, Gu Ming Ren was very angry. He deeply suspected that Lin Jiang had a tendency to be abused; He Cheng Ming was always unkind to him, but he still followed him around like a fool.

It really made him feel fucking stifled.

He was cold towards Lin Jiang, but towards Ji Liao, He Cheng Ming changed his expression and asked him gently, “What do you want to eat?”

Ji Liao shook his head. He felt that the atmosphere seemed strange, but he didn’t dare to say anything.

The four of them sat in the hall to wait.

Since He Cheng Ming was near his sweetheart, he thought of his enthusiasm from last night and felt a little restless. He took Ji Liao’s hand and pinched it, then whispered into his ear, “Baby, why were you so eager last night?”

Ji Liao blushed until his ears were red and glared at He Cheng Ming, causing him to let out a flirtatious laugh.

Soon, the staff told them to enter.

He Cheng Ming held Ji Liao’s hand naturally before heading inside. Behind them, Lin Jiang was surprised to witness this, but Gu Ming Ren was so envious, he wanted to beat the son of a bitch beside him to death.

Inside the theatre, Lin Jiang was shocked. “Fuck, how could it all be couple seats?!”

But once he remembered that the tickets were bought by He Cheng Ming, he could only suppress his sullenness.

Sigh, it was really a miscalculation.

Ji Liao, too, had not expected him to buy tickets for a couple theatre. He was in a delicate mood. On one hand, he felt that it was a bit pretentious for two boys to sit in a couple seat; but on the other hand, they were a couple, so it should be natural for them to sit in a couple seat.

Fortunately, the movie started at once, attracting Ji Liao’s attention.

This was a science fiction movie, but after around half an hour into the story, the movie shifted to a detailed plot…between two guys???

Ji Liao had a muddled expression on his face and shifted his gaze away, but was met with He Cheng Ming’s burning stare towards him.

The movie theatre was dark, and the light from the big screen reflected on his face, changing randomly from shade to shade. Accompanied by a gasping sound from the movie, Ji Liao saw his Adam’s apple move.

He was slightly tempted, but from in front, there was a sudden sound. “Fuck!”

It was Lin Jiang’s voice.

The atmosphere between the two of them was suddenly disrupted.

He Cheng Ming could feel his temples throbbing, and he itched to drag that brat, Lin Jiang, out for a beating immediately.

An hour and a half later, the movie ended.

When the cinema’s lights came on, Ji Liao noticed that Lin Jiang’s expression was very unnatural and that his mouth was a little red. This indication…his heart thumped and he looked at Gu Ming Ren as if he understood.

“Crazy!” Lin Jiang left cursing and Gu Ming Ren followed with a sombre expression.

When the two figures disappeared, He Cheng Ming realised that his date had just started.

Ji Liao asked in shock, “Gu Ming Ren likes guys too?”

He Cheng Ming hummed in reply, then took his hand to leave.

“Then, how about Lin Jiang?”

“He doesn’t.” With that, he was more inclined to feel that his current situation with Ji Liao had not been easy to achieve.

When the two of them reached the street, their appearance attracted attention. Ji Liao recoiled from the unfamiliar, prying looks — he wanted to withdraw his hand, but it was held tightly by the other boy.

The passersby’s gazes burned him. Stopping by a KFC dessert stand, Ji Liao bought himself an ice cream to cool himself down, licking it in small mouthfuls.

Snow white and pale red met. He Cheng Ming felt an uncontrollable itch in his heart and wanted a taste of his tongue as well.

“Do you want to have some?” Ji Liao saw him looking and held up the ice cream.

He Cheng Ming smirked. “I only want to eat you.”

Ji Liao pretended not to hear and withdrew his hand but was pinched on the wrist by him. Then, he took a bite where Ji Liao had just licked.

“Sweet.” Ji Liao didn’t know if he was referring to the ice cream or him.
