Sabrina's POV
We walk out of his room and down the long glassy stairs. Their home was very shiny. Tall windows and
big shiny chandeliers. The stair railings were diamond encrusted and crazy shiny, it felt like I was in a
princess castle. The stairs went on forever, as I imagine the daunting task of climbing up these stairs
after hours of training.
At the bottom of the stairs was a smirking Luka. He held a glint of mischief in him that I knew I'd hate, it
was in his demeanor, his smile.
Everything about him annoyed me even though he looked handsome, he was the annoying little
brother that we all read of somewhere.
"Ah Your Serene Highness.." Luka says before bowing his head in respect. I don't know this kid at all
but I know damn well that this is all an act.
"It's just Sabrina." I say as we stop to stand next to him. Luka looks at my mark and back at me, smiling
from ear to ear.
"Oh no! I dare not!" He says before walking away with a smile.
"Oh! Btw, that's what the earthlings say on text right? Yeah! Mom invited Jane." Luka says as he walks
on.
Aiden growls in response, which piques my interest. Who is this Jane?
We follow Luka, as we walk in to a room, a dining room with food covering the table. They had
everything you could think of for breakfast.
Cereal to toast, cheese to beans.
There was an Aiden look alike, who was older and seated at the head of the table. That would definitely
be his father with what looks like a permanent scowl on his face. Next to him was a woman draped in
diamonds and a white dress, her perfume overtaking the smell of all the delicious food stacked on the
table. Now, she was definitely the interior designer of this home. What gave it away?
Next to the perfume lady was a girl around my age, with long blonde hair and green eyes. She was
dressed preppy and girly, almost as if she raided the closet from Clueless. This must be Jane, with the
way she looked longingly at Aiden.
I felt a pang of jealousy try to bubble up but I killed it before I embarrass myself in front of Aiden's
family.
On the opposite side was another blonde girl dressed the same way. Now I was feeling underdressed
and bare, I needed Josey ASAP!
Next to the girl was Luka, already biting in to some bacon and the perfume lady scowling at him. As
soon as they see me, they all stand. The one sitting at the head, standing reluctantly but he stood up
to greet me.
"Good morning everyone." Aiden says and everyone greets back.
"I'd like to officially introduce my mate, Sabrina, our moon goddess." Aiden says to me. All their eyes
move from Aiden's to meet mine.
The room is quiet, all I can hear are heartbeats and some clattering somewhere in the house.
"Ah! Finally decided to give my son a chance huh?" The man, whom I'm guessing is Aiden's father
says to me before sitting back down and everyone following after him.
"Sabrina, that nice man over there is my father. My mother next to him. You've met my brother, Luka.
This is Leslie, his mate." Aiden says.
"Don't forget about Jane brother. She came here for you..." Luka teases and I feel Aiden's annoyance.
"Yes, sorry. This is my childhood friend, Jane." He says as he throws his brother a deadly glare.
"Hi Jane. It's nice to meet Aiden's friends. Maybe you can tell me more about him because I don't think
Luka will be of any help?" I ask looking at her.
I almost reach out to shake her hand but remember they don't greet like that here.
Jane smiles at me, a tight lipped smile but doesn't say anything at all. Aiden helps me to my chair and
sits next to me, dishing up for me too before he gets some food for himself.
"I'm sure the girl is perfectly capable of dishing up her own food." His mother scolds him but also
looking at Jane's empty plate.
"She is, but she is my mate and I want to do it." Aiden responds to his mother.
Aiden's mother leaves it at that but spends the time staring at me. I was starting to feel uneasy with her
eyes on me, as the utensils I'm using clink on the plate, her eyes never faltering as they stayed glued
on me.
"How is Kimberly? I hear she has aged a little." Aiden's mother asks. Finally breaking the yolk of
uneasiness that was burdened on my head the entire time she was looking at me.
"I wouldn't know if she has aged because she didn't really raise me but she's good." I answer her.
"Oh yes! How did you grow up without a mother and your father?" She asks me.
"I did not grow up thinking I was lacking if that's what you think. My mother left us when I was still so
young but I had a loving family still." I say, she nods her head but her eyes held interest in my life still.
"You've had three mates before my son no?" She asks, Jane and Leslie bulging out their eyes.
Luka sitting back to enjoy the show. There's that mischief again, that spark in his eyes as he smiles at
me before I answer his mother.
"Yes. I was mated to Percy but he rejected me for an alphas daughter because at that time, I thought I
was just a beta's daughter." I say but she shakes her head no.
"That's not possible because you were already mated to my son." Aiden's mother says.
"Well, Ethia, the moon goddess your family helped put in power made sure I stayed on earth and by
that, she paired me with an earthling." I say and Aiden's father growls.
"Did I say anything out of line?" I ask innocently.
"No dear. You did not." His mother says to me as she throws a glare at her mate.
" So what about your other two mates? Were you mated to them as well?" She asks with a sly smile.
Smart ass bitch!
"No. After the boy I was mated to rejected me, I found love with Maximus. My chosen mate, the father
of my child." I say. Jane gasps out loud as Luka snickers in the background.
"And then there's Xander. The one she won't get over." Luka jumps in to the conversation.
"Oh so why can't you be with Xander and leave my son to be with Jane?" Aiden's mother asks.
"Mother, you fail me. Aiden doesn't want to be with Jane, he never did. I don't know where you got the
idea that he would ever look at her in any other way than as a friend! Let me explain it to you, Aiden
wants Sabrina, he has wanted her even before he met her. Sabrina wants Xander and that is why your
first born son decided to forcibly mark Sabrina, claiming his prize." Luka says to his mother.
And the pin drops.
To say I felt uneasy before now was just child's play.
The whole table, except for Luka and Aiden stare at my neck. Every soul in this room quiet as they eye
the mark Aiden gave to me.
I felt so naked in that moment as if the mark was supposed to be one big secret but I did not hide it. I
mean if you looked, you'd find it but I thought they had seen it when I walked in. I mean I've been
asleep in Aiden's room for 3 days.
What did they think was going on?
It was like Luka dropped the biggest atom bomb of all, obliterating everything in it's path. What was left
was silence, deafening silence and at this moment I wished upon skmeone screaming at me or
something but no.
Heartbeats going rapidly fast, exposing their feelings towards the news Luka just dropped on the table,
maybe anger or shock but Aiden also didn't do well in hiding his feelings either as I felt his worry
growing, making him uncomfortable.
"Honey, what have you done? What have you done my boy?" His mother says in a whisper but we all
heard her.........
