Anika turned around and saw Zac standing casually just a few steps away.

He was smiling and raising his eyebrows.

‘‘I didn't expect him to say what he just said?” Anika felt a little uncomfortable after Zac had appeared to

put on a show.

She quickly suppressed it and raised her eyes to ask, "Why did you come so early today?"

Zac arrived half an hour earlier than normal.

He walked towards her side and said casually, "I had a meeting nearby so I just straightaway went

here.’

After saying that, he glanced at Anika and raised his eyebrows, "Are you leaving?"

Anika understood that if she wouldn't leave now, Everly may block their way after work.

So she quickly bid farewell to Sara and nodded to Zac, "Yes, let's go."

Zac closed his eyes and took her hand.

Everly seemed to have just realized what was happening.

She anxiously stepped forward and said, "President Hill, wait a moment. My father wants to see

you.You ..."

Halfway through her words, she paused again.

She was hesitant because her father told her to use Oliver's matter to discuss business with Anika.

However, she didn't know how to use it against Zac.

In the end, Everly could only bite her lips and say, "Can you give my father a chance to make up for his

mistakes?"

Zac rolled his eyes and sneered, "Anthony has the time to look for people everywhere. Why don't your

father think about how he could protect himself instead of saving his family’s money? If you are

ignorant and greedy, you will only lose more."

Zac meant that Anthony had other choices, but he refused to take the path of retreat.

The choice between going to jail and losing his family’s wealth was indeed not easy.

After saying that, the couple passed Everly and sat on his Bentley that was parked not far away.

The car went all the way out of the parking lot.

Only then did Zac let go of her hand.

After pausing for a while, he said, "Don't worry, the Mason family won't have the time to look for you

anymore."

He had just met Officer Smith, and he found out that the policeman was forcing Anthony to hand over

the evidence that he had.

After today, Anthony must have known about this already.

"Yes." Anika nodded.

"Boris said that you went to see Grandpa yesterday?"

She asked with a frown.

Zac grunted and didn't say anything.

Back then, his father was imprisoned because he acted too rashly.

He wanted to take over LW's project alone, which aroused the dissatisfaction of too many people.

Then, he was framed by his enemies.

Although it was the Burks and the Masons who had set up the trap, there were also many other people

behind it.

There was even support coming from the Meyers.

Of course, he knew that it was Oliver who was involved, but Anika’s grandfather still personally called

him over.

The other party was afraid that he would blame Anika.

Her grandfather also said something else but he believed there was no need to tell her about this.

So he changed the subject, "Nika”

"Huh?"

"Calling me hubby is not bad."

His voice was soft and gentle, and it carried a hint of admiration.

When Anika recalled what she had just heard, she choked again.

Her cheeks blushed but it was because of embarrassment.

After a pause, she explained, "That's because I don't want Everly to continue pestering me”

Zac leaned against his seat, turned his head to look at her, and said lazily, "I forgot that in front of

everyone else, I have to let you change the way you call me."

"I didn't expect you to be so self-conscious."

The man meant something else but Anika was speechless.

Zac held his chin and appreciated her dumb expression.

He smiled and said, "Since that's the case, remember to always call me hubby when you are outside,

Mrs.Hill"

After he finished speaking, he put on his headphones and closed his eyes to recuperate.

Anika suddenly remembered what Director Sants said earlier after hearing Zac's voice.

‘This was much better than I had imagined before I moved into the villa’

If Zac could continue to get along well, it wouldn't be difficult for Anika to accept it.

On the weekend, Anika and Zac attended Celine's 60th birthday banquet.

It was a serious occasion, so it took a lot of time for a woman to dress up.

When Anika came out of her room, Zac was already waiting for her in the living room.

Hearing the sound of tiny footsteps, Zac turned around and his pitch-black eyes came up to greet her.

The man was dressed modestly in a dark suit with a plain white shirt and a straight tie.

His demeanor was both elegant and carefree.

He was stunning in his suit and his hair was a little more handsome than normal.

Anika couldn't help but glance at the corner of his mouth.

She thought to herself, ‘This marriage is not a loss.

As long as Zac don't say anything, it is indeed pleasing to the eye’ At this moment, the man looked at

her, and an imperceptible look of astonishment flashed through his eyes.

He knew that Anika was beautiful.

Although LZ was the best high school in Misty Bridge City, there weren't so many rules and regulations,

and there wasn't any restriction on students’ attire.

Many girls at their school would wear light makeup.

Only Anika wore her hair in a basic ponytail.

Despite this, there were still a lot of boys staring at her.

She put on a pair of black-rimmed spectacles after she had heard the women's chitchats.

Zac used to take her glasses whenever she wasn't paying attention, which irritated her to no end.

He didn't like the way she put on her glasses and hid from everyone.

He believed that she shouldn't have been concealed by a pair of glasses.

Anika was dressed up beautifully.

Her dark blue dress made her skin fairer.

Her soft hair was pulled up behind her head, revealing her slender neck, and her exquisite collarbone.

Zac couldn't open his eyes for a moment.

He paused for a second and nodded at her, "Very good."

Anika only reacted after a while.

‘Zac was praising me for my appearance today.Who would have thought that he would actually learn to

praise people?’ However, she was happy to accept his compliment.

She smiled at him, "Thank you, let's go."

The Dains were considered a wealthy family with a lot of resources in Misty Bridge, and the Jenkins

were on par with them.

Right now, the Dains were headed by Celine's eldest son, Mico.

Although the event tonight was called a birthday banquet, the people who came to attend the banquet

were only here for the sake of business relations.

When she got out of the car, Anika held onto Zac's arm.

The moment their intimate figures appeared at the banquet, the chatter in the hall instantly dissipated.

Quite a few of the guests secretly cast their gazes at the couple.

Anika was not surprised by this situation.

Her engagement with Kayden ended badly, and she turned around to marry Zac.

With this appearance, everyone naturally wanted to find out what their relationship was like.

Trevor put down the wine cup in his hand and greeted, "President Hill is here.’

The Dains were thriving, but unfortunately, the younger members of their family didn't have any special

talents.

Although Trevor was Mico's son, he was a playboy.

His talent in business was not obvious.

He had been linked with different female celebrities all day, and not a single one of them could last

longer with him than a month.

However, Trevor was rather polite to Zac.

In the business world, no one dared to be impolite to Zac.

After all, those who had offended him in the past few years were often in even greater trouble.

When Anika first returned to China, she heard many people mention the methods that Zac had used

over the years.

His vision was accurate and long-term, but he acted decisively and fiercely.

The reason why Zac succeeded so quickly was that he almost didn't leave anyway out.

It wasn't hard to figure it out.

At the end of the LW Project, the contractors were all looking for Zac to collect debts with their

contracts.

One could imagine the situation they were facing at that time.

Step by step, he walked to this day, and there was no way to retreat.

Trevor always cooperated because although he was Mico's only son, he had two cousins who were

envious of him.

This alarmed him so he had always planned to have a relationship with Zac.

To please Celine, the Dains invited quite a few people to the banquet.

Gradually, many people began to chat with Zac in the business arena.

Anika could not stay by his side all the time.

She looked at the well-versed man and said, "Zac, I'll go find Nataly."

Zac was Anika’s final compromise.

She really couldn't call him husband with ease.

The two of them fought at each other at the dining table.

Zac insisted that ‘husband’ was more affectionate, but in the end, he reluctantly agreed to what she

wanted.

Hearing her words, Zac glanced at her, nodded, and said in a clear voice, "Don't run around. When it's

over, come and find me.”

Only then did he remove his hand that was wrapped around her waist. When the surrounding people

saw this scene, they couldn't help but think a little more.

In the past, Zac had brought Frederick, his assistant, to such occasions.

Not only did he bring his newly married wife over, but the way he spoke to her was also very gentle and

considerate.

Although that wedding was a bit ridiculous, it was an indisputable fact that Anika had become Zac's

wife.

Originally, he thought that their relationship would be cold and indifferent, but now, it seemed that they

were a little more intimate.

Trevor silently watched the couple.

After Anika left, he threw a teasing look at the man, "I didn't expect President Hill to be soft on her"

Zac's eyebrows narrowed slightly as he lowered his eyes and said, "Of course, we are married"

Reading the warning in his eyes, Trevor hurriedly composed himself and complimented him, "Yes, yes,

yes, you are newly married. How considerate of you.’’
