The enormous piece of land slowly expanded, transforming into an enormous floating disk!
The disk ascended as it spanned out. The higher it got, the greater the area it covered!
Nobody had been able to explain the appearance of solar eclipses. Who would have thought that the natural laws that governed the world actually came from Heaven Palace which hovered above the world!
When it was vertical and perpendicular to the sun, the sun could be seen rising and setting, and the moon would appear and disappear. However, on a set day every fifty years, Heaven Palace would ascend and flip over!
The flip casted a shadow that left the Human, Demon, Ocean, Beast, Plant, and Ghost species in darkness. This darkness would last for a very long period of time.
When there was no sunlight, all living creatures would suffer and the laws of life would be broken.
Later, to the fear and the lacking of natural resources brought about by the darkness, species would begin to wage war. This would fill the land with death, disease, and illness. This would deal a heavy blow to the living world.
Until now Chu Mu had believed that this was a natural law. It was a law that existed since time immemorial. However, everything he was currently witnessing had completely overthrown this deeply rooted theory!
Chu Mu looked at the enormous land disk blocking all of the sunlight, stunned. From his position, he could see the outline of a formation!
This formation was created by Heaven City. A total of twelve sunlight rays could be seen shooting towards the sun. There were thirty six even slimmer sunlight rays wrapping around these smaller light rays!
When the sun and the spinning Heaven Palace happened to line up exactly, the twelve light rays became twelve enormous light locks.
These light locks fastened onto the sun, preventing the sun from moving!
All of the light and all of the energy traveled through the twelve enormous bridging locks to form a cone that passed through the stars and poured everything into Heaven city.
The white Heaven City set ablaze as the piercing light made it difficult to open one’s eyes!
“This is the solar eclipse…” Chu Mu was entranced as he watched.
If the people down there could see this shocking and horrifying scene, many ideologies would collapse!
“Unbelievable… unbelievable!” Old Li’s voice rang out.
“Even your Demon species didn’t know the solar eclipse was caused by Heaven Palace?” asked Chu Mu.
Old Li shook his head and said: “This secret is probably only known by Heaven Palace members, and the experts of each generation who reach the undying rank. I think I understand why that woman brought you to stand in Myriad Heaven Dragon Abyss to look up at Heaven Palace’s projection. In fact, she already knew that the solar eclipse was actually Heaven Palace spinning and ascending.”
“She even had us bury those seeds in the formation eyes… those formation eyes are Heaven Palace’s solar eclipse formation!” Princess Jinrou covered her mouth in shock.
Chu Mu creased his brows. What plan did Yu Suo have by leaving those seeds in Heaven Palace’s solar eclipse formation?
“Young master, the Evil Good Primogenitor is the plant world’s earliest creature. In other words, the Evil Good Primogenitor can directly absorb the sun’s energy. Heaven Palace is currently stealing the energy that originally belonged to the creatures of the world. This energy is capable of nurturing the lives of a myriad of creatures. It is the world’s largest energy. By leaving those seeds in the solar eclipse formation, she’s clearly stealing the purest solar life force energy through Heaven Palace’s solar eclipse formation!” Old Li came to a sudden understanding.
“It should be impossible with just those few seeds to steal Heaven Palace’s solar eclipse formation energy?” said Princess Jinrou.
“That’s probably only just one of her measures,” said Chu Mu.
That woman was an expert at scheming. Their trip to Heaven Palace was very likely the last step in her scheme. There was definitely an enormous flower formation somewhere in the world that had been meticulously schemed for a long period of time. This flower formation was connected with Heaven Palace’s seeds and the moment Heaven palace’s solar eclipse formation began to absorb energy, she would begin to steal that energy!
“If her stealing is a success, it’s very likely that the Evil Good Primogenitor can instantly enter the undying rank!” said Old Li.
The solar energy was enormous. If this energy was concentrated onto a single living being’s body, and added on the fact that the Evil Good Primogenitor was innately the most ancient creature born under the sun, it was definitely possible for it to become an undying rank!
“Chu Mu, can you sense where she is?” hastily asked Princess Jinrou.
“Stop her?” said Chu Mu.
“No. When I helped her put those seeds in, I snuck into a totem maiden’s soul. Those formations have an energy tracking imprint. If she uses those seeds to steal energy, her location will be exposed to those powerful totem maidens. Heaven Palace will send people to capture her.” said Bai Jinrou.
“Young master, they’re already started moving!” Old Li pointed at Heaven Palace as he spoke.
Chu Mu immediately used soul remembrance to look into the distance. Indeed, numerous smatterings of black dots appeared from Heaven Palace. These black dots were rapidly descending towards the ground and they quickly disappeared from Chu Mu’s sight.
Those small black dots were Heaven Palace’s Imperial Guard Dragon Species. The ones mobilized were very likely to be Heaven Palace’s Guardian Palace experts!
“Chu Mu, aren’t you going to go help her??” when Bai Jinrou saw the legion dispatched by Guardian Palace to capture the thief, she immediately grew worried.
Bai Jinrou didn’t like Yu Suo, but right now, Yu Suo was standing on the same side as them right now.
Chu Mu hesitated. He remembered in Heaven Palace that he made it clear to her that they wouldn’t cross each others’ paths anymore.
However, as he watched the hoards of powerful Guardian Palace experts, Chu Mu also began to worry a bit.
This woman’s courage was too enormous. She had even done something like this.
Indeed, the glorious Seven Sins Fox species of the past and White Ocean God had both violated Heaven Palace’s rules and were suppressed by Guardian Palace before being sealed and severely punished.
Stealing the solar eclipse formation’s energy like Yu Suo was doing was definitely an unforgivable and severe offense in Heaven Palace. If she was captured by Guardian Palace, who knew how cruel of a punishment she would suffer from Heaven Palace.
“Chu Mu, are you really not going to help her?” Princess Jinrou looked with a bit of shock at Chu Mu.
Chu Mu seemed to be indifferent towards all this. Bai Jinrou didn’t understand.
“I don’t know where she is,” said Chu Mu.
It wasn’t that Chu Mu didn’t want to help. Rather, he had undone his soul pact with yu Suo and didn’t know where she was hiding.
“Young master, don’t you have a drop of her Monument Tears? Perhaps through the Monument Tear’s memories you’ll be able to find where she laid her formation,” said Old Li.
“This…” Chu Mu hesitated again.
The truth was that Chu Mu didn’t want to look at the Monument Tear. Since he told her he wouldn’t have any more involvement with her anymore, Chu Mu didn’t want to look through her story.
“Hurry. If you help her step into the undying rank, she’ll definitely help you deal with the Ancient Flood Dragon Person,” said Princess Jinrou.
“If she steps into the undying rank, the first person she’ll kill is me,” bitterly smiled Chu Mu.
“She won’t,” Bai Jinrou said with great certainty.
“How do you know she won’t?” Chu Mu was confused.
With how much she hated him, Chu Mu thought that once she possessed absolute strength, the first thing she would take revenge on wasn’t Heaven Palace. Instead, she would deal with him first. It was difficult to fathom this woman’s temper.
“I can read her mind. She has never thought about killing you.” Bai Jinrou said very seriously.
There were some people that understood how to hide their thoughts. Bai Jinrou’s mind-reading was unable to see the thoughts of some very strong-willed people, especially people with dual personalities like Yu Suo.
However, no matter how many personalities she had, she only had one heart. On that day in Heaven Palace, Princess Jinrou had managed to see her inner heart in that instant Yu Suo lost control of her emotions.
Chu Mu looked at the serious Bai Jinrou. He thought about the moment Yu Suo shed the tear when she retracted the poisonous sting and slapped him.
“Alright,” Chu Mu opened his soul pet space and retrieved the Monument Tear that belonged to Yu Suo.
Chu Mu placed the Monument Tear in his hand. The Monument Tear quietly melded into Chu Mu’s skin and then seeped to his soul. It entered his healing soul wound.
The soul wound was from his rupture with Yu Suo’s soul. The instant his soul ruptured, he felt so much pain he wished he were dead.
When the Monument Tear flowed through the wound, Chu Mu’s vision suddenly changed.
The space in front of him began to warp and change. Chu Mu saw a blurry outline of Era Hall that gradually grew clear.
Inside Era Hall, Yu Suo raised her hand and fiercely slapped his face. At the same time, a tear dripped down from her eye, falling into Chu Mu’s mind.
The tear let out a ripple, as if it had fallen onto a calm lake. A change occurred in each part of space the ripple reached.
Chu Mu’s eyes grew hazy. Princess Jinrou extended her hand and lightly placed it on Chu Mu’s forehead, entering the story recorded in the Monument Tear with Chu Mu.
……
It was a white city and a white palace. Everything was an aesthetic white.
It was a silent bridge that resembled a white rainbow that reached a floating meteorite amongst the stars. On top of the meteorite was a white pavilion.
Chu Mu stood at the center of the white bridge. Princess Jinrou stood beside him.
“Big sister, big sister!”
An adorable young girl with chubby cheeks ran across from the other side of the bridge. She wore an aggrieved but adorable expression. She was wearing a beautiful princess dress as she ran by the illusory Chu Mu and Princess Jinrou towards the pavilion on the meteorite.
In the pavilion was another young girl. Her gentle and elegant temperament was the complete opposites as the young girl running over. In fact, there was the wisdom and calm of an adult that could be seen in her young and sharp eyes.
Princess Jinrou looked at two identical-looking girls with shock.
“Which one is Yu Suo?” asked Princess Jinrou.
“The younger sister,” said Chu Mu.
