“What?” The sister shifted over to make room for her little sister and asked caringly.

“They’re mocking me and saying I know nothing.” The little sister felt so wronged she was nearly crying.

“No problem. You don’t need to learn anything. Diagrams and star routes are very boring to learn. They don’t want to learn it either, but their elders forced them to.”

“No, I need to learn it too, I can’t let them laugh at me!”

Seeing her little sister be so serious, she could only nod and say, “Fine, I’ll teach you.”

Chu Mu and Princess Jin Rou both walked past the nearly identical little girls and were more surprised.

“So Yu Suo actually had an older twin sister.” Bai Jinrou glanced at the sister.

Originally, as a seven to eight-year-old little girl, she shouldn’t have had any “air” or character. Or rather, the complaining and crying little girl was a normal appearance. The sister was truly too composed and elegant. Her eyes were crystal clear, yet the emotion that showed in her eyes was not fitting of her age.

Chu Mu looked at the sister, and was secretly confused as he thought back through Yu Suo’s memories.

Why had he never seen her sister’s figure in the memory fragments he had seen in Yu Suo?

As they watched, the pavilion slowly warped until Chu Mu couldn’t see the scene anymore.

In the fuzziness, only the two delicate girls were still easily seen.

In a moment, the pavilion disappeared. A new scene appeared like an ink painting unfolding. Chu Mu saw the little sister Yu Suo stand at the walls of the Heaven City.

Yu Suo was older now with an adorable figure. She was slowly showing the beginnings of what would be a truly world-shattering beauty.

She was still wearing a blue dress. Her purple hair was braided into two ponytails that laid at her sides.

Chu Mu and Bai Jinrou walked before her and noticed she was staring out beyond the Heaven City.

“Chu Mu, it’s that white town.” Bai Jinrou pointed at the town beyond the city wall.

Chu Mu glanced out and saw that outside the town, there was an absolute mess of corpses. Blood flowed like rivers down the dark soil!

Chu Mu clearly remembered that day when thousands of people in the town walked out like livestock to feed the monsters that came out of nowhere. The scene was incredibly cruel and scary.

The ten-year-old Yu Suo stood on the city wall and watched as all this happened.

She stood there wide-eyed, as if her soul was swallowed as well. She couldn't believe that the beautiful heaven city would create such a cruel scene.

“Yu Suo, Yu Suo….”

A beautiful woman ran over frantically.

Yu Suo was still standing there, staring in disbelief at the bloody scene.

“You can’t be here, you’re so disobedient!” The woman yelled in dissatisfaction.

“They….. Why are they feeding themselves to the monster??”

Chu Mu stood right by Yu Suo and that woman. What surprised Chu Mu was this woman’s appearance wasn’t visible!

It was a very beautiful woman. Yet, when Chu Mu glanced at her face, he only saw a vague shimmer. She wasn’t wearing any veil, but it seemed like it anyways. He could see all the perfect parts of her face, but couldn’t even see the whole thing at once.

“Human Mother!!” Chu Mu suddenly remembered. Wasn’t this the Human Mother training in the curtains?

Her appearance was constantly changing, becoming even women most familiar to him!

“Chu Mu, you know her?” Bai Jinrou pointed at Human Mother, who was still berating Yu Suo.

Chu Mu shook his head and said, “You can see her?”

“No, such strange people. I always think she looks familiar but strange…..”

Human Mother brought Yu Suo away and into the Heaven Palace.

……

“Sister, sister…..” After Yu Suo was scolded by Human Mother, she ran back to her own room. Seeing her sister reading in her room, she immediately came over and started crying.

Yu Suo was sobbing uncontrollably so her sister put down the thick diagram book that questioned what had happened.

Yu Suo just repeated the bloody scene we saw in the town.

Sister Yu Qie seemed to already know this cruelty and remained silent.

“Sister, don’t they always surround you? Why can’t you tell them to stop doing that? It’s so sad.” Yu Suo asked.

“That’s the job of Guardian Palace, I can’t do that.” Sister Yu Qie said.

Yu Suo was still crying nonstop.

Yu Qie tried to comfort her, but the stubborn Yu Suo kept asking her to save them.

She seemed to be used to her sister’s crying. She calmly opened her book and, while listening to her sister cry, she calmly used her fingers to touch the markings on the book to remember those pictures in her head.

Yu Suo saw that her sister wasn’t paying attention and sat aside angrily, muttering, “how can sister be cold-blooded like the others too.”

“We grow old and die very slowly here. To create a balance in mankind, to maintain balance and longevity of Heaven City, there have to be some people that make a sacrifice. In reality, it isn’t that the Guardian Palace was throwing them into feed the despicable monsters, but they instead were sending themselves in to die. They could choose to fight, but their strength is nothing compared to the monsters. So, slowly, they got the habit of no longer fighting.” Yu Qie said calmly.

“Does sister mean that this is because they haven’t trained well?” Yu Suo said.

Sister Yu Qie nodded.

“But….. I don’t train either, why am I not thrown into that town?” Yu Suo asked.

“Because you’re my sister.”

……

Chu Mu stood by Bai Jinrou. She whispered to Chu Mu, “Why does this sister feel more like a mother?”

“She must have inherited some things. Her thinking, wisdom, and values aren’t at the same age as Yu Suo.” Chu Mu said.

Inheritances don’t have to be power. Sometimes it is also a large amount of information.

For example, Old Li doesn’t only own his own knowledge. He’s the wisdom inheritor of the demon species envoys.

Yu Suo’s sister showed a calmness, wisdom, and profound intelligence that typically came from an adult. This meant that she definitely knew more than an average ten-year-old.

When treating her twin sister, many times she felt like a mother taking care of her, comforting her, teaching her things.

Indeed, in the following few memories, Yu Qie always had her uncanny intelligence. Very rarely could one see a pure and naive smile on her like other children, nor could one see any emotions of panic or anger. In fact, even when Yu Suo’s troublemaking causes her to become incredibly annoyed, she still simply holds her book and reads calmly.

“Two completely different personalities in a pair of twins. However, I can tell that Yu Suo relies on her a lot. She asks her for everything and goes to her whenever she is troubled.” Bai Jinrou smiled.

Women were always easily touched by emotional stories. In reality, Bai Jinrou didn’t expect Yu Suo to be like this as a kid. In fact, it seemed that the sister was more like Yu Suo because they both had the same wisdom and calm.

Chu Mu was instead wondering something else. Just who was Yu Suo’s sister in Heaven Palace? Yu Suo had never mentioned her sister but instead had revealed that she often asked the Totem Divine Maiden a lot of questions.

Can it be that Yu Qie was the Totem Divine Maiden??

Chu Mu’s guess wasn’t validated because all of Yu Suo’s monument tear memories revolved around her and her sister.

……

Without even realizing, Yu Suo and Yu Qie both reached the age of fourteen and became beautiful girls. Especially when they wore the same things, the doubled beauty was indescribable.

Chu Mu’s question remained in his heart.

Finally, there was a memory that identified the sister Yu Qie.

Indeed, she was the one that governed the entire Totem Palace, the Totem Divine Maiden.

It was hard to believe that the totem palace that governs the entire world, the palace that governs the natural order, was held by a girl of such young age!

However, with a close thought, with the quality that Yu Suo revealed, it indeed fit the divine maiden role well. She wasn’t frightened, annoyed, angry, or happy ever. The wisdom and calm was never fitting of her age. It’s hard to imagine how much information was thrown in her brain for her to become like this.

The reason he could confirm his guess is because of something that happened to Yu Suo.

Yu Suo collected her thoughts and held a totem book, reading it in a pavilion.

At this moment, there were a few twenty-year-old men and women who walked over the bridge with laughter.

They didn’t notice Yu Suo when they walked over, but when they walked in, their smiles immediately disappeared.

“Forgive our trespasses Divine Maiden. We didn’t know you were reading here. Sorry for the disturbance.”

“We don’t mean offense, please forgive us Divine Maiden.”

Their frightened gestures caused Chu Mu to recognize one; it was Yu Tian, the one Yu Suo viewed as a sworn enemy!

Yu Suo saw these people all so frightened and immediately laughed, “I’m not my sister, I’m Yu Sha.”

Yu Tian and the others even kneeled down. Seeing Yu Sha face full of smiles, they all glanced at each other.

“Oh, so its the dispensable one.” Yu Tian immediately stood up and muttered.

“Yeah, and she really does look like the real one too.”

Yu Suo heard this and her smile froze.

This wasn’t the first time Yu Suo had heard the word “dispensable”!
