Chapter 116 - 116: 101

Gil's eyes wandered across and around the room, not knowing where to look or land his sights. If it were not for the stench that somehow made him sedated, he was sure that he would be panicking right about now.

His eyes avoided the 2 dark huge mountains in front of him, only to see smaller ones on the side.

The scenery really was too much for someone like Gil who has spent almost all his life alone and without a partner.

"So, tell me. What are your names?"

The dark-skinned woman that Reed had been calling Boss, spoke. There was a certain sway in her voice, coquettish but not so forced. Gil widened his eyes as he looked at the Boss' eyes and eyes only. However, it took most of his effort.

"...Van."

And so, Van was the first one to introduce himself.

"My… my name is Gil!" Gil was about to salute but stopped himself midway when he remembered where he was.

"You seem a little too young to be here."

But it would seem that Boss did not really heed him any mind as she continued to look at Van, "How old are you, 11?"

"...Something like that," Van said without batting an eye.

"Wait what!?"

Gil almost jumped in place as soon as he heard Van's words, the focus he had with the mountains around him completely gone.

"Why would they arrest someone as young as you!? They even tied you up and broke your legs!"

"Because all of us are scum." Boss let out a tiny scoff as she slowly stood up, kicking the huge unconscious man in front of her completely to the side. Her gigantic and finely shaped bosoms swayed as she stepped down from her bed.

Her dreads also followed the line of her curves, accentuating it even further and adding to her appeal. Once again, Gil blinked numerous times as he let out a tiny cough, his awkward eyes still not knowing where to look.

And as soon as her foot reached the floor, Reed immediately covered her with a robe, inserting her arms in the sleeves and clothing her without impeding her movements.

A testament to how long he has been doing this.

"You two follow me," Boss beckoned to Van and Gil to follow her out.

As they were walking back outside, Van could not help but squint his eyes as he looked at the people around them.

Sunken eyes.

Sunken cheeks.

Their lips dry even when they are drooling. Not to mention they weren't even minding them even as they literally had to step over some of them to get through.

Van was very familiar with these kinds of people, he has seen them a lot in the Relic Graveyard. People who were addicted and filled with drugs in their system.

But so far, Van has not smelled even a hint of anything close to drugs, or seen one lying around on the floor for that matter.

'Is… it her?' Van thought as he looked at Boss.

"For a child, your eyes don't seem to be afraid to wander. Even your friend there shies away from even a little bounce of tits." Boss giggled as she jiggled her bosoms towards Gil.

"!!!"

Gil instantly looked to the ground and remained doing so as they continued to follow Boss and Reed.

Although Van was alert and wondered where they could be taking the two of them, he was not that worried as he could just run away. Since Gil was here, they would be catching him first.

"Where… Where are we going?" After almost an hour of walking, Gil finally could not help it anymore. "We've been walking for almost an hour… maybe we should go back?"

Gil could not help but worry as he looked around him. Their path was clear, but they were surrounded by nothing but trees on their side.

"We're already here."

"Hm?"

However, a few seconds after his question, Boss and Reed stopped in their tracks.

"W… what is that?" Gil stuttered as soon as he saw the view in front of him. The lush trees abruptly stopped, replaced by a vast clearing.

But the most noticeable of all was the colossal wall that lay before his eyes.

Gil was completely in shock. His colleagues and superiors have already told him that the Locals have built a wall inside the Portal. But he didn't really believe them as they told him that the wall almost reached the clouds.

But seeing the wall now, although what they said was clearly exaggerated… this wall…

It was most probably at the very least 50 meters. His neck had to stretch to even see the top. It almost made it hard to see the people that were standing on top of it.

Wait, people?

Gil squinted his eyes to see the silhouettes standing on top of the wall. "Those are…?"

"Those are the Locals, and if you do not want to be skewered like meat, you probably shouldn't step any further."

As soon as Gil heard Boss' words, he quickly stopped in his tracks. He did not even know that he was walking forward due to his awe.

"Most of them can hit you from this distance," Boss let out a tiny chuckle as she glanced at Gil, even Reed, who had been quiet throughout the walk chuckled, imitating Boss.

But when they heard a scream whisper into their ears, they quickly stopped with their laughs.

"Oh, the party's over. They've noticed us already."

The shadows on top of the wall started moving, their screams sounded like whispers from the distance.

"That is our queue to leave." Boss smiled as she waved her hand towards the Locals scrambling on the wall. "Remember, do not approach the wall or we will kill you ourselves." She then said as she started walking back into the forest.

They have already developed a sort of truce with the Locals. And seeing as they do not even know how many Locals there are on the other side of the wall, they wanted to keep the peace as much as possible.

"E… eh?" Gil scurried to follow Boss back. Van, on the other hand, remained quiet as he looked at the colossal wall.

He could probably climb that wall with his speed, he thought. But he doesn't even know what he will find on the other side, and the Locals do not seem to be friendly seeing as they were currently pointing at him and screaming their lungs out.

Although the situation in the Encampment isn't really that different, as someone already tried to kill them with the hour of their arrival… although he was the one who killed someone already.

[Souls Collected: 2]

There were two souls in his System Window, one dark flame and the other orange. The Neutral Soul was probably long overdue for being sent somewhere. He had been avoiding it ever since he sent Desmond's soul to the Fields of Punishment.

He could still remember the scenes that were shown to him, and the headache he got from it. He was definitely not trying that again… but he was definitely going to send the soul of the naked muscular man to the Fields of Punishment.

"V… Van! Let's go!"

"Hm."

Van's thoughts were disrupted as Gil shouted for him. Van could still hear the Locals on the wall shouting as he followed the group back. It must be his imagination, but it felt like they were calling him.

...And he was right.

"Is that a child!?"

"Child! Look here! Go to the wall!"

"They have a child on the other side! Tell the Chief immediately! We can't let a child spend another day there!"

"Child! Look here! Go to the wall! We will hold the others for you!"

The Locals on the wall were talking about him.

***

Another hour almost passed as the group finally made it back to the center of the Encampment. Van could not help but look around him as all of the people seemed to be on their guard, maybe even a little hint of fear in their eyes.

Unlike when it was just him and Gil, the threatening looks of the other Prisoners were completely gone.

...How strong was this dark-skinned woman for these hardened criminals to look so meek in front of her.

"And that concludes the tour to our humble abode. Just follow the three rules that Reed had told you, and we won't have any problems," Boss performed a bow, her gigantic bosom taking a peek from her robes.

"..." Once again, Gil's eyes looked to the ground.

"Boss, we have a problem."

The group was about to disperse, but before they could do so, Reed opened his mouth.

"We're already at 101."

"...Oh," Boss blinked numerous times as she heard Reed's words.

Even the other prisoners, who seemed to be afraid of Boss and were keeping their distance away from her, started approaching their group, their breaths slowly fluttering with excitement.

Van quickly put up his guard. Even Gil, whose face was still red gripped his sword as he watched the prisoners surrounding them.

Boss' loud sighs then reached their ears, "Too bad, I quite like the two of you."

"W… what's going on?" Gil took a gulp as he watched Boss and Reed slowly backing away. The other prisoners also gave them space as Gil and Van once again found themselves surrounded and circled by the prisoners.

"I am really sorry about this," Reed raised his hand, and as soon as he did so, the other prisoners started cheering and howling.

"What do you mean!?"

"...f*ck." Van let out a curse. He knew it was getting too peaceful.

A wide smile slowly started to creep on Reed's face, "I am afraid that only one of you can stay...

...You have to kill each other."
