Chapter 414: War of the Dark Destroyer Kingdom IV

“Darn, damn it!”

Wicky was holding a massive sledgehammer taller than he was. This colossal man gained more strength when he was closer to the ground. Ultimately, his power hit the pinnacle as both of his feet were planted firmly in the soil.

However, everyone was still moderately far from the ground of the Infernal Spirit World.

With the menacing advancement of thousands of Soul Slaves, as Level-1 Demon-Hunters, all five of them had no confidence in facing the threat unharmed.

Something was not right!

Mysterious black mist circled Solumn’s body after he gave a low growl. A pair of bat wings stretched out from Solumn’s back, a loud pop then followed.

An unknown desperation and desolation filled the air.

Solumn gradually opened up one eye after another. The eyes were on his forehead, face, hands, and every part of his body, turning him into a multi-eyed monster. Solumn stretched out his hand and withdrew a blue lightsaber from one of his eyes.

Grimm shifted his eyes under the Mask of Truth, he was focused entirely on Solumn

“As expected, this is a creature from the Spectral Unknown World, fused as one with Solumn, or maybe Solumn himself is a monster, reborn as a sorcerer in the Sorcerer World!”

As an official sorcerer, Grimm made assumptions about Solumn’s Immortal body ability.

Swoosh!

Shielded by his sorcerer’s barrier, Solumn dashed with incredible speed towards Grimm and yelled, “I shall clear the path!”

“Caw? Are you crazy, do you want to die?”

Nobody told Little Myna about Solumn’s ability, Immortal Body.

“So be it.”

Due to the urgency of the situation, Grimm did not explain to Little Myna. He nodded in the direction of Solumn, then retreated slightly, making Solumn the front liner of the remaining hundreds of Demon-Hunters.

“Hehe, dear master Grimm, at last, we can fight together side by side.”

Such a seductive voice! Grimm’s face turned slightly as his pair of ice and fire eyes scanned through the Mask of Truth. It was Claudia drifting closer with her clouds of pink mist, hiding numerous scorpions underneath it.

“Alright.”

Grimm nodded in response. Meanwhile, Little Myna shouted out loud.

“Caw caw caw, dear Millie, it looks like we are going to be fighting alongside each other.”

Little Myna howled at Millie on the other end.

With her greyish hair floating in the wind, Millie turned over and gave him a cold smirk.

Staring at the impending, intimidating, and advancing group of Infernal Spirit World Soul Slaves, Grimm took a deep breath.

He wondered how many of his remaining one hundred Demon-hunters squad would survive this forceful breakthrough.

While he was busy with his thoughts…

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh…

Suddenly, numerous sorcerer’s barriers appeared beside Grimm. Due to the friction in the air, they were covered in flames, leaving a long trail of fire behind. Shocked, Grimm studied his surroundings under his Mask of Truth.

Every Dark Demon-Hunter that was instructed to attack the Dark Destroyer Kingdom’s Capital had changed their course and gathered themselves at the same spot. Their determination was unified, to crush the defense net set by the Soul Slaves.

It was as if they had received the same instruction, to charge into a defense army of ten thousand Soul Slaves beneath them.

“Hahaha…”

A Level-3 Great Sorcerer laughed as he sliced his way through the air at incredible speed. His screeching voice was unbearable.

This Level-3 Great Sorcerer was far behind a few seconds ago, and now he was in front of Solumn, slicing his way through the defense line of the Soul Slave army.

The old sorcerer was surrounded by a large skull-like phantom image. He raised his magic staff and extended it out of his sorcerer’s barrier. It caused friction in the air and a glimpse of dark-reddish depressing dim light could be seen.

Bam, bam, bam, bam, bam, bam…

The sorcerer’s barrier knocked out many of the monster slaves, then suddenly, a clamoring bright red ray shot it way out from the top of the magic staff.

After a dull explosion, the defending army imploded into flesh and blood, and the Level-3 Great Sorcerer successfully penetrated the defense of the Soul Slaves, marching towards the Dark Destroyer Kingdom’s Capital.

Under the leadership of this dominant Level-3 Great Sorcerer, there were few hundreds of Level-2 and Level-3 Dark Demon-Hunters following his footsteps upon the breakthrough of the Infernal Spirit World and continued their march towards the Soul Slave defense beneath them.

Vaguely noticeable, some scenes were neglected.

A small portion of Demon-Hunters did not manage to break through, destroyed by the overwhelming monsters. Their sorcerer’s barriers were torn, and their bodies were shredded into pieces, fed to the beasts surrounded them.

Demon-Hunters from all sides gathered with Grimm and his small hundred-man squad. The number exceeded ten thousand, leaving trails of flames across the sky.

High above in the sky was the fierce battle between Bright Demon-Hunters and the Acraepoid Army, while down on the ground was the vast Dark Destroyer Kingdom’s Capital, signifying the prosperous Acraepoid Civilization.

Grimm took a deep breath and yelled.

“Charge!”

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh…

The dense cloud of Dark Demon-Hunters dived from the middle of the sky. Once they broke through the Soul Slaves’ defenses, everyone gathered at a low-range altitude within three kilometers and was ready to completely destroy the mission target… Dark Destroyer Kingdom’s Capital.

Those Flame Burrows towered at the height of kilometers tall.

From the mere grandeur of its building, it could even be taller than the average height of a Sorcerer’s Tower.

Of course, these buildings were built for residential purposes by Acraepoids. They did not have more practical significance than a Sorcerer’s Tower.

Level-1 Wild Instinct, activate!”

Dense black scales covered Grimm’s body, exuding an intense metallic luster. Taller and thinner, Grimm was vigorously wild.

As his magic power spiked, his sorcerer’s barrier was instantly consolidated to its highest level.

“Roar!”

A long-tailed creepy metallic monster leaped into the air with one gigantic claw and one small claw. Its six-meter-long body clashed onto Grimm’s sorcerer’s barrier with a bang of metallic friction sound.

Snorting lightly, Grimm shifted his diving angle slightly, proceeding to ignore these separate side attacks.

His only goal was to break through the defense layer made of a hundred thousand Soul Slaves.

Huff! Puff!

Two ugly skinless green gas breathing creatures accelerated towards Grimm like a cannonball. Once they were close to Grimm, they unfurled themselves. With dozens of soft tentacles connected to each other by a layer of translucent film, they looked like an umbrella.

Splat! The two creatures stuck themselves on Grimm’s sorcerer’s barrier.

The faint green breath corroded the sorcerer’s barrier effectively, caused it to dim from time to time. At the same time, the two monsters exerted their tentacles to break the sorcerer’s barrier, changing its shape as if it was a balloon being pinched.

Grimm’s eye moved under the Mask of Truth. He could no longer ignore the attacks.

“Repulsive force!”

Whoosh! Eternal Flame burned on the top of the Sabbatic Goat Staff. Grimm waved his magic staff fiercely, covering himself in a sea of fire.

Bam! Bam!

Struck by Grimm’s Sabbatic Goat Staff, the two skinless monsters were blasted away in flames, moaning while falling into the crowded sea of monsters.

Grimm replenished his sorcerer’s barrier with magic power, gradually regaining its brightness.

Slosh… Elements of Ice and Fire flowed onto the top of Sabbatic Goat’s skull, merging perfectly into a dark red energy ball.

Roar!

On the other side, Wicky growled. Ching! The metal monster that attacked Grimm was hit by a sledgehammer, entirely distorted by the strike.

All these small attacks delayed Wicky from following Grimm. Even his direction began to deviate from Grimm.

Millie followed Solumn. The duo began to pierce through the dense Soul Slaves defense, a step ahead of Grimm.

“Hehe, master Grimm, it seems like it’s just two of us left.”

Not in the mood to entertain Claudia, Grimm nodded in response. He gazed upon the sea of Soul Slave defense, pointed his magic staff at the weak point caused by the attack of a Level-3 Great Sorcerer before them.

“There!”

“Got it!”

A large pink swirl formed in front of Claudia. Her magic staff started to move like a scorpion’s tail.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

After the duo accelerated to maximum speed, Grimm growled, “Fireblast!”

A dark-red light beam blasted towards the weak point of the sea of Soul Slaves. Boom! Waves of flame spread fiercely, consuming a large number of low-level slaves.

Flame waves cleared the path of small monsters. Shielded by their sorcerer’s barriers, Grimm and Claudia rushed into the sea of fire.

Covered by scales, Grimm’s palm firmly clasped onto his Sabbatic Goat Staff, repelling every approaching soul slave in the sea of fire. They gave everything they had to move at full speed.

“Master Grimm, hurry up, get out of here!”

Surrounded by ferocious monsters in the sea of fire, Little Myna screamed nervously in the sorcerer’s barrier.

With a whirr, Grimm’s sight became clear once again. The surrounding fire closed behind Grimm, decimating every pursuing Soul Slave.

On the ground was the metropolis made of more than ten thousand Flame Burrows. Grimm’s eyes were no longer blocked from its view.
