Maybe Conan is a prophet. He foresees the future and thinks he is his father.
Claire grunts when she hears Leo. She scolds Leo in her heart that he is Conan’s father but is not
responsible. Claire says, “yes, even though my son doesn’t have a father, I can make him grow up
healthy and happy, so don’t look down on women, let alone look at me contemptuously.”
“I’m strong.”
Hearing Claire’s proud tone, Conan and Leo can’t help laughing in their hearts. They know Claire is
able at work but not able to live on her own.
Conan knows that. He has been taking care of his mommy since he was little.
Leo laughs without speaking. He reaches out and touches Conan’s head and asks meaningfully, “do
you remember going to my company some time ago?”
Leo says it to Conan. Conan can’t help being happy when he hears what he said. He thought his daddy
was born with a bad memory. He forgot not only what happened six years ago, but also what happened
not long ago.
Conan is happy but he looks simple. He blinks and looks at Leo and says naively. “Yes, I remember
you invited me to lunch and the food was delicious.”
Conan naively shows that children like to eat. Leo laughs and puts his big hand on Conan’s head. He
whispers, “do you remember you said I was your daddy?”
Claire is shocked. She looks nervously at Leo.
She is afraid Leo will recognize Conan. If so, Leo can do nothing as long as she doesn’t admit it.
But Conan has been to his Leo company before. Claire can’t explain it.
Conan smiles smugly and mischievously, “that’s because...”
“Conan!” Claire is afraid Conan will tell the truth. She quickly stops him. “Don’t you always say you
want to eat dumplings? I’ll take you to eat later.”
This is the second time Claire has interrupted Conan. Leo can’t help frowning. He looks at Claire
confused and asks, “Claire, why don’t you let him go on? What can’t I know?”
Claire looks into Leo’s eyes. She is flustered and her heart pounds. She is afraid of exposing her guilt.
Claire swallows and tries to stay calm. She says awkwardly, “maybe his biological father looks like you,
so he went to your company that day. I’ve already blamed him. President, please don’t continue to
ask.”
“Really?” Leo raises his eyebrows. He looks mysterious and no one else knows what he thinks.
After a long time, he smiles, “maybe you’re right. But didn’t you say he is your friend’'s son? Claire, did
you hide anything from me?”
“No.” Claire feels more guilty. She doesn’t even dare to look into Leo’s eyes. “I said that because I
didn’t want you to misunderstand me. If I said that, what would you think of me?”
“Oh? What can I misunderstand?” Leo stares at Claire and asks meaningfully.
“...” Claire is speechless and scolds him in her heart. Why do you have so many questions?
“Mommy, uncle, are you showing your love in front of Conan?”
When Claire doesn’t know how to answer, Conan speaks.
Claire looks at Conan with relief and thinks he knows how to save her.
Conan’s words make Leo smile. He looks at the innocent Conan and knows there is something else in
his eyes. He finds the boy more interesting.
Leo stops asking Claire. He touches Conan’s head and says with a smile, “do you know what show
love is?”
“Yes,” Conan blinks and naively says, “showing love is flirting.”
Luckily Claire isn’t drinking at the moment, or she’ll spray. A child says such a thing. But she thinks
Conan is right.
Leo nods happily and praises him. “Yes, this is what Mommy taught you?”
“No,” Conan says, shaking his head. “One uncle taught me before.”
“Don’t deal with these uncles in the future. You will learn to be bad.” Leo nods.
“Why should I listen to you? Mommy said I can’t believe anyone but her.” Conan still looks innocent.
Claire almost faints. She praised him just now but now he satirizes her.
Leo looks up at Claire and asks Conan, “what can I do to make you listen to me?”
Conan’s little eyes turn and he seems to be thinking about something. After a long time, he says
happily, “if you are my daddy, I will listen to you.”
Conan is ready to be beaten by Claire at any time. In order for daddy and mommy to be together, he
can do anything!
Sure enough, Claire hears Conan and stands up decisively. She grabs his ear and yells, “Conan, do
you know what you’re talking about?”
“Mommy, it hurts.” Conan exclaims. His tearful little eyes look at Leo and he wants him to sympathize
with him.
Leo freezes at first. Then he thinks the boy is really interesting. Seeing his pathetic little eyes, Leo
smiles.
Leo takes Claire’s hand and stops her, “he’s just a kid. You don’t have to be angry. Just now you said
Conan wants to eat dumplings. I happen to know a restaurant. Let me take you out to eat.”
