Kate furrowed her brow at what her mother was saying. She snatched the phone from Mrs. Miller and
glared at her. “Mom, why are you saying such things again? I told you, didn‘t I? I spent one year beside
the man, and I know he‘s not a bad person. If the Hughes family didn‘t abandon him, he wouldn‘t have
