"Helios Hotel, at one this afternoon," Will responded, slightly taken aback. "Do you wish to attend as
well?"
Kingsley nodded. "I'd like to go and take a look."
Will was a little nonplussed, but he decided against asking further.
Meanwhile, Julie came over with an exquisite gift box. "Mr. Maslow, this is a mechanical watch for
women that is priced at eighty-three thousand. It's one of our higher-end designs. Please have a look.
If it's acceptable to you, I'll go and wrap it up for you now."
Will gave it a quick glance and saw that it was indeed a luxurious-looking watch, so he nodded. "I'll take
it."
After settling the bill, Will took the gift bag and said to Kingsley, "Um… Mr. Nicholson, I'll see you at
Helios Hotel this afternoon. The event's about two hours from now, so I'll need to make a trip to the
hospital first."
Heston assigned him to the task of buttering up Kingsley by footing the bill for him.
Since he paid for a five hundred grand watch, he decided that he had done a pretty good job.
Will wisely bade his goodbye and stayed out of Kingsley's way, leaving Kingsley and Courtney to their
own devices.
Once Will took his leave, Kingsley said to Julie, "Do you have any other of these watches on hand right
now?"
"W-We have one more…" Julie was startled. "Do you wish… to buy another one?"
The spectating crowd was preparing to disperse by now, but when they heard what Julie said, they
paused in their tracks and stared at Kingsley in disbelief.
"Will Maslow has left, but he still wants to buy a watch?"
"Could it be that he's actually loaded and not one of those blood-sucking leeches preying off his
sister?"
Julie repeated in shock, "Are you really going to buy another one?"
"No. I'm going to buy six more."
Julie and all the others around him were floored. No one could believe their ears!
"Six more? Is there something wrong with that guy? Has he gone mad?"
"Oh my goodness! Six more of those watches would cost three million!"
With a conflicted expression, Julie said hesitatingly, "This is a limited edition design, so if you truly
intend to buy that many, you'll have to wait a while…"
Even though she said that, she did not believe that Kingsley could actually afford it.
It took all of her professionalism to stop her from rolling her eyes.
"That's fine. I'll pay for it now and give you an address to send the watches to once they come in
stock."
Kingsley tossed his bank card over to Julie. "Go ahead and charge 3.1 million to the card. Keep the
additional one hundred thousand as your tip."
"W-What did he say?! A hundred thousand as tips?"
Julie gaped at him in shock. Her jaw nearly hit the floor!
"You're not kidding, right, sir?" Julie's voice was shaking. "You want me to go ahead and charge 3.1
million?"
Kingsley waved his hand. "Yes, and hurry up. Stop wasting time."
The crowd exchanged glances yet again at the sight of Kingsley tossing millions around like it was no
big deal.
Courtney was also stunned. "Kingsley, we're talking about three million right now! Where did you get
that kind of money?"
