Chapter 802: His Heart Was Jumping Violently
Xie Xuning looked at Xie Yi, who was lying in his arms. Why did she faint all of a sudden?
What should he do now?
Did he have to carry… this woman… back to the hospital?
Looking at the woman who went unconscious in his arms, Xie Xuning thought that he must’ve lost his mind for a moment.
If not, why would he have agreed to come out for a walk with her?
Xie Xuning bent down and lifted Xie Yi, who was unconscious, up from the ground.
He walked back to the hospital in great strides with Xie Yi in his arms.
“Dad, what happened to you two?”
Ye Tianxin was bewildered at the sight of Xie Xuning returning from outside with an unconscious Xie Yi in his arms.
Xie Xuning laid Xie Yi down on a stretcher and explained to Ye Tianxin, “I’m not too sure. She fainted all of a sudden,”
“I’ll ask Brother Yangzi to check on her and inform Shi Han to come over to the hospital.”
Ye Tianxin felt even more disturbed after Xie Yi fainted.
Was Xie Yi infuriated because they stopped her from performing the operation?
Fortunately, Xie Yi’s personal assistant, Mo Shi, was at the hospital just as Xie Yi was scheduled to carry out the operation that day.
Qie Wenyang informed Mo Shi about Xie Yi’s incident and asked her to come over. Mo Shi checked on Xie Yi while she was still unconscious and said, “I’m sorry about this. Dr. Xie might not have had enough rest last night.”
“Not enough rest? Are you sure?”
Ye Tianxin stomped on Qie Wenyang’s foot after hearing that response. “Are you sure it’s because she didn’t get enough rest?”
Qie Wenyang felt the pain coming from his foot and decided to stop talking.
Mo Shi pretended as if she did not see what had happened between Ye Tianxin and Qie Wenyang. “Mr. Xie, it’ll be fine. Dr. Xie just needs some rest. I’ll stay by her side and take care of her. You guys can head out.”
“Okay.”
Once they were out of the hospital ward, Ye Tianxin said to Xie Xuning, “Dad, you can go ahead if you have something else to do. I’ll be staying here.”
Although she had no idea why Xie Yi fainted, what if she was genuinely sick?
Xie Xuning took a glance at Xie Yi, who was in the hospital ward, and nodded. “Okay, I’ll leave first then.”
When Xie Xuning was in the car, he realized that a button had fallen off of his coat.
However, he did not care much about it; it was no big deal.
Xie Xuning was supposed to be busy with work today, but he spared some time and came to the hospital since it was his mother-in-law’s operation. He did not expect that there would be so many variables on the day of the operation!
He only hoped that Dr. Xie could recover soon.
It would not have been as tiring for his precious daughter after his mother-in-law was cured.
Xie Xuning looked out of the car’s window. This ever-changing city was developing rapidly.
The substitution of tradition with a more modern era was plain to see, but Xie Xuning thought that this city was just a monster that deprived him of his beloved wife.
Xie Xuning closed his eyes, but he could not help thinking about Linlang.
‘Linlang, I’m thinking about you. I missed you so much.’
Linlang.
Linlang.
Linlang.
Pain spread throughout Xie Xuning’s chest whenever he thought about Linlang.
My beloved Linlang.
My beloved Linlang.
Where are you?
Do you know… how much I miss you…?
Xie Xuning pressed his hands tightly against his chest. He could feel his heart pumping violently.
‘My beloved Linlang, would we have the chance to reunite once again in this life?’
‘We will, I’m sure of it.’
“What? Okay, I’ll come over right away.”
For a long time, Xie Xuning never gave up looking for the doctor who served in that hospital back then.
There seemed to be a gust of wind blowing on his dying heart whenever a tiny bit of hope appeared. The gust of wind that blew on his heart reignited the fire and made it burn with blazing flames again.
