“Jianshen, help him treat his injuries,” Fu Sinian said to Bai Jianshen.
“Okay.” Bai Jianshen carried the medicine box and came to Arthur.
Fu Sinian raised his hand and threw a key to Arthur.
Arthur caught it with both hands and realized that it was the key to unlock the handcuffs. He looked at Fu Sinian in shock.
“Aren’t you afraid that I’ll escape?”
“Then it proves that you don’t want to work with me. I didn’t want to kill you in the first place. It’s up to you whether you stay or go.”
Arthur undid the handcuffs and then the ones on his feet. He looked up at Fu Sinian and spoke slowly.
“Fu Sinian, you’re indeed worthy of being someone that Bliss is afraid of.” Actually, the moment he got the key, Arthur really had the thought of escaping. After hearing Fu Sinian’s words, he immediately dismissed this thought. “Arthur, although you kidnapped Qian Qian, I’m still quite grateful that you didn’t really hurt her.”
“Fu Sinian, don’t think that I’ve agreed to cooperate with you and won’t go against you in the future. I’m a person who only values my own interests. If there’s any conflict of interest between us in the future, I still won’t show mercy.”
“I’m just stating the facts.”
After saying that, Fu Sinian turned to look at Shi Qian. “Qian Qian, let’s go back.”
“Okay.” Shi Qian nodded.
After returning to her room, Shi Qian immediately asked Fu Sinian, “Sinian, where is the woman who looks like me now? Can I see her?”
“Don’t be anxious. Your body hasn’t recovered yet. I’ll bring you to see her after resting for two days.”
“Do you think this woman was given to Arthur by Su Ruoqing? Could it be someone we know?”
“That’s what I thought. Her fingerprints were destroyed by the laser. She was obviously hiding her true identity, and I didn’t have the energy to pursue it.” Shi Qian was deep in thought.
Fu Sinian held her shoulders and pulled her back to reality. “Don’t think about these things for the time being. Rest well for the next two days.”
“Okay.” Shi Qian nodded.
Fu Sinian picked her up and placed her on the bed. He restrained himself and kissed Shi Qian’s cheek.
“Lie down for now. I’ll make you something to eat.”
“Can I choose the menu?”
“Of course. Just tell me what you want to eat.”
“I want braised pork ribs and stir-fried meat.”
“Is that all you want?”
“You can decide the rest. I don’t want seafood anymore. As long as it’s stir- fried, it’s fine.”
“Okay, wait for me first. I’ll prepare immediately.” Fu Sinian kissed Shi Qian’s forehead again before turning around and walking out.
Shi Qian slept for a while more in a daze.
Fu Sinian prepared delicious food and returned to his room to wake Shi Qian up. Seeing that Shi Qian was sleeping soundly, he couldn’t bear to wake her up and wanted her to sleep a little longer.
He sat at the side and looked greedily at Shi Qian’s sleeping face. Not long after, he couldn’t help but reach out and touch her cheek.
She had lost a lot of weight during this period of time.
Shi Qian felt a hot palm caressing her cheek. It was a familiar warmth. She didn’t even open her eyes. She stretched like a lazy cat and took the initiative to burrow into Fu Sinian’s arms.
“Qian Qian, it’s time to eat,” Fu Sinian said gently to her.
Shi Qian smiled and nodded. “Sinian, I just woke up. I don’t have any strength in my body. Can you carry me?”
“Okay.” Of course Fu Sinian was willing, and he was even happy to do so.
