Chapter 1549 Messing With the Qin Family(2)

1549 Messing With the Qin Family(2)

Several hours have passed since Yuan started messing with the Qin Family's strongest hunting group. They figured he would eventually run out of energy and mess up, but Yuan continued stealing their kills with seemingly no effort at all.

"Fuck! I've had enough! Get out here and face us like a man, you fucking coward!"

"Come out!"

"Get out here and fight me, you bastard!"

The group of players eventually had enough and started yelling out loud like a group of maniacs.

Seeing this, Yuan smiled inwardly, 'I guess it's about time I stop messing around and deal with them for real.'

With that in mind, he emerged from his hiding spot and appeared before them.

"You've finally appeared, you kill-stealing bastard! I have never seen anyone as shameless as you!"

"Let me give you a good beating!"

The group of players approached Yuan with enraged faces.

However, Yuan raised his hand and gestured for them to stop, "Wait a minute. I have some questions for you before I decide your fates."

"And who the fuck are you to decide our fate?! Get him!" The leader of their group shouted.

But before any of them could move, Yuan released his suppressed cultivation base at the peak of Spirit King.

The pressure was so immense and unbearable for these Spirit Lords that they collapsed on the ground, unable to breathe.

"A-a Spirit King!"

"Please! Have mercy!"

Yuan retrieved his aura, allowing them to breathe again.

"I think you might have mistaken us for someone else. I don't ever recall offending someone like you!"

Hearing such words, Yuan spoke, "So you guys aren't working for the Qin Family?"

"Huh? This is about the Qin Family?"

He silently nodded.

"We do work for the Qin Family, but what's that got to do with this?"

"I'll keep this short, but I'm going to shut down the Qin Family's business, so if you could do me a favor and just quit, I won't make things difficult for you."

"What?! This is too sudden! We can't do that even if you threaten us!" One of them quickly said.

"Why are you targeting the Qin Family? They have a lot of influence nowadays, especially with the Ten Great Families' help."

"I am just giving them a taste of their own medicine. They dared to mess with the Chu Family's business, so I am now messing with theirs."

"The Chu Family…? Look here, we have no involvement in businesses outside hunting magical beasts. And we're bound by a contract. If broken, we'd need to pay a huge fine, so we cannot quit even if you threaten us."

"How much are these fines? I'll pay for them." Yuan said.

"You'll pay for our fine? That's ridiculous…"

"If not, I'll give you a real excuse to not work anymore—by killing you until you lose your ability to cultivate." He calmly threatened, leaving them speechless.

The players trembled in fear upon hearing Yuan's words, which were definitely effective.

They exchanged glances with each other and, without uttering a word, nodded at each other.

"Alright, we'll quit if you can pay for our fines. It's a million dollars for each violation."

If Yuan were truly willing to pay for their fines, it would definitely be better than getting killed and losing their ability to cultivate, as they would be able to change employers.

"A million each, right?" Yuan retrieved a random Heaven-

grade treasure and showed it to them.

Although Heaven-grade treasures have gone down significantly in price—at least compared to when Yuan sold the Frozen Jade Zither—as they're becoming more accessible, they can still be fetched for over ten million dollars with ease.

"You can keep the change. Also, if I find out that any of you were involved with messing with the Chu Family, I'll hunt you down not just in Cultivation Online but also on Earth, so this is your last chance to come clean." Yuan said as he handed the treasure to the one who seemed to be the leader of the group.

"I swear we're not involved! I don't know about the other teams, but we're definitely clean!"

Yuan nodded and said, "Also, if you're still working for the Qin Family after this, you'll die before you even realize it."

"We wouldn't dare!"

"Ah, before you leave, tell me about the other hunting teams." Yuan then said.

"I have their schedule and hunting grounds all listed here." The leader of the group handed Yuan a jade slip that contained all sorts of useful information that allowed him to hunt the others down more efficiently.

"Thank you."

Yuan left shortly after.

While Yuan went hunting down the other teams, the group of 11 players immediately went to sell the Heaven-grade treasure on COPlayerAuctions. The treasure was sold in under one hour for 15 million dollars.

Over the next several days, Yuan traveled all over the Third Heaven and bribed all of the Qin Family's monster-hunting teams to quit. Those who refused to accept his bribes were threatened with death, and the rude ones were beaten until they were on the verge of death, which only took a single punch from him.

When the Qin Family was suddenly told by their strongest and highest-earning monster-hunting team that they'd quit, the Qin Family was left baffled and confused.

They became even more bewildered when every member of the team paid the fine for breaking the contract.

When asked why, the team told the truth—that they were threatened by a powerful cultivator to quit working for the Qin Family or have their cultivations crippled.

Soon, more and more teams from their monster-hunting business stopped working with them.

"Fuck! Which bastard is responsible for this?! And why are they doing this?!"

Qin Mulan, the head of the Qin Family, slammed his table in anger, causing it to split in two.

"For it to happen right after Chu Wuyang was caught… I don't think this is a coincidence." Qin Long, his eldest son, said with a pondering expression on his face.
