Chapter 1599 Infinite Beast Spawn Rift

When Grand Elder Lu and Grand Elder Tang noticed Kelan approaching them, they immediately alerted their Sect Leaders.

"S-Sect Leader! It's the Celestial Overlord! They're here!"

"What?!"

The Sect Leaders immediately froze after hearing this. They were too busy pondering how they could fix their situation to notice Senior Bai and Kelan's presence.

'Fuck! We messed up!' They cried inwardly.

However, they had no time to think and immediately greeted Senior Bai and Kelan.

They clasped their hands and lowered their body in a respectful manner, "We greet the seniors from Celestial Overlord."

Kelan responded, "If you're here to apologize or make excuses, you can save your breath. We're not here for you."

"R-really…? You're not going to punish us? Even if it might cost me my life, I have to admit that we're partially responsible for what happened." Du Daomi lifted his head and said.

"While you've admitted to being responsible, are you going to take responsibility? How are you going to do that?" Senior Bai stepped forward and asked.

"T-that's… we will no longer monetize the Endless Beast Den…" Du Daomi said.

Of course, this decision was made on the spot without the other two Sect Leader's approval. However, neither of them objected to it.

Although no magical beasts are currently spawning, it was due to the appearance of a rift. Once a rift appears, no more magical beasts would spawn for at least ten years.

Senior Bai sneered at their approach to accountability. Despite what happened to Yuan, he could not bring himself to place the blame squarely on the Three Grand Sects.

If the rift hadn't appeared, what they did would only qualify as a skirmish since they wouldn't have been able to hurt Yuan, much less kill him.

The Celestial Overlords were a righteous faction, and causing trouble for the Three Grand Sects over this unfortunate incident would only tarnish their reputation.

The next moment, Senior Bai walked past them and approached Xi Meili.

"How are you doing? I am Bai Linyu, a friend of Yuan."

'Bai Linyu?! The Sect Master of the Gates of Heaven?!'

Those from the Three Great Sects were greatly shocked and bewildered after learning Senior Bai's identity.

Senior Bai was a prominent figure not only in the upper heavens but also revered in the lower heavens for his virtue. To ascend the ranks of the Celestial Overlords, one must accumulate good karma through acts of righteousness, so one could imagine how much Senior Bai had done to reach his rank of Overlord.

Furthermore, Senior Bai was the Sect Leader of the Gates of Heaven, a top-tier sect that spanned across the Fifth Heaven, Seventh Heaven, and Supreme Heaven.

Not many sects from the upper heavens establish branches in the lower heavens due to resource constraints, but those that do are considered the elite of the elite.

"Bai…? Are you the owner of the Myriad of Techniques?" Xi Meili asked, as she recalled Yuan mentioning him to her before.

"Yes, you're correct." Senior Bai nodded with a friendly smile on his face.

"I see…"

After a moment of silence, Xi Meili continued, "Please tell me you know a way to save Yuan…"

The smile on Senior Bai's face immediately disappeared, replaced with a perplexed expression.

"Unfortunately, nobody has ever returned after entering the rift. However, my superior is currently seeking an expert's help, so there might still be hope. For now, we can only wait for my superior to show up."

Those from the Three Grand Sects felt their heart skip a beat after hearing this information.

Senior Bai was an Overlord of Celestial Overlords, so only a Celestial Overlord would qualify to be his supervisor.

"S-Senior… does this mean a Celestial Overlord will make an appearance here…?" The Sect Leader of Grand Harmony Sect asked Kelan with a nervous look on his face.

Kelan looked at him and said, "Not just any Celestial Overlord, either. Lady Xu will make an appearance herself."

"C-Celestial Overlord Xu Jiaqi?!?!" Du Daomi fell on his buttocks after hearing her name.

Among the few Celestial Overlords in their faction, Xu Jiaqi stood out as the most prominent and influential figure. She also had a reputation for being incredibly ruthless and merciless. Just her name alone would scare even the most vicious Immortals out there.

"Xu Jiaqi?! The Celestial Goddess?!" Grand Elder Du cried out loud.

"No… we're doomed…" Elder Hao fell to his knees with a despaired look on his face.

"..." Kelan understood their emotions very well. In the Celestial Overlords, there was nobody more fearsome than Xu Jiaqi, and her involvement was reserved only for the most significant of tasks.

"Since we're going to die anyway, I might as well ask. Who was that young man? And what's his relationship with the Celestial Overlords? To make the Celestial Goddess come down to the Fourth Heaven, he must be very important to her…" Du Daomi asked.

"I don't know about his relationship with Celestial Overlord Xu, but he's a good friend of Senior Bai and also a General within the Celestial Overlords."

"A General?! But he looked very young!" Grand Elder Du exclaimed in disbelief.

"That's just how talented he was." Kelan shook his head, his voice filled with disappointment.

Grand Elder Du swallowed nervously as he recalled Yuan effortlessly defeating him despite having a much lower cultivation. This sort of talent was almost unheard of. Unfortunately, Yuan had gone inside the rift, and the chances of him returning were pretty much zero, so he was essentially already dead.

Meanwhile, Xu Jiaqi was engaged in a conversation with the expert she had sought out with some difficulty.

"Is there a way to bring back someone who entered an Infinite Beast Spawn Rift?"

This expert, a tall, beautiful woman with brown hair, tanned skin, and green eyes, was surrounded by many powerful magical beasts as she spoke, "You should already know the answer to that question, so why waste your time coming here to ask me?"

Xu Jiaqi silently clenched her jaw and narrowed her eyes, fixing the woman with a cold, piercing glare.
