Chapter 310 Deadly Arts
"Hup! Hup! Hup!"
The sound of heavy breathing could be heard along with the sound of iron colliding against each other.
It was almost dusk, and Michael is currently at his family's gym with Dylan and Amanda.
Michael's body isn't that muscular but he's able to bench press five sets twenty reps of one hundred twenty kilograms, which amazes the members of the gym as he's one of the few who could do it.
Dylan is probably the only one who could bench press something heavier than him though as he is more robust and taller than Michael.
"That was refreshing" Michael couldn't help but say that as he stood up from the machine.
"Here" Amanda who was watching him from the side handed him a towel and bottle of water, as the other male gym members look on with envious gazes as they wanted to also have the feeling of having a girlfriend to take care of them while they are working out.
'Ahh...the bitterness of being a single' they all thought along the lines.
"Are you really leaving tomorrow?" Amanda asked, a little bit worried.
While wiping off his sweat, Michael answered, "Yeah...I owe someone and he needs my help"
Amanda didn't say anything for a couple of seconds, "Okay...but be careful alright?"
"Don't worry, it's not something dangerous" Michael replied, as it was in fact not that dangerous for him.
Amanda looked around them, and seeing that no one was near them to hear their conversation, she leaned towards him and whispered, "But...is it really okay for you to leave when that person shows up tomorrow? After all, his purpose of coming here was because of you"
"It's gonna be fine, the worse that could happen is him extending his stay in the country. In fact, he'll probably even live in the house" said Michael.
He wasn't worried that Zero might turn violent when he turns up and finds out that his purpose of coming to the country had just left the country at the same time that he had just arrived.
He'd known him enough to know that he's a very patient person. He's so patient that he could wait for months to wait for an opportunity to kill his target. He's like a viper that will strike at you the moment you let your guard down.
But most importantly, the man doesn't have any anger management issues, so he'd probably just be cool about it and wait for him.
'People who don't know him that well might even be surprised to find out that he has another side of him other than being a cold merciless assassin who only suffered one failure during his active tenure' Michael thought, and a small smile couldn't help but crept up along his lips.
"Why are you smiling? Even though I don't know who he is, but when I looked at all of your expressions earlier this morning. I know that guy is bad news" Amanda couldn't but punch Michael on his shoulder in annoyance.
"Relax, nothing will happen...but a fight might happen though" Michael's voice increasingly became smaller at the end.
"That's even worse! The neighborhood association would certainly cause them some trouble if something big happens tomorrow" Amanda couldn't but feel indignant at his worry less attitude.
Michael held her chin and said, "Relax babe, nothing big will happen"
"I hope so"
"So, are you done with your routine? Dylan was long done already and went to the showers, and you should too or we'll be late for dinner" Amanda said as she stood up and started making her way towards the female locker room.
Michael was looking at Amanda's receding figure with a huge smile on his face, but his eyes were mostly focused on those swaying bountiful curves of hers.
But a second later, his eyes became dark remembering his purpose for leaving tomorrow.
'Friend, I may not be able to change your fate, but I can at least make sure to clear some obstacles for you to repay you the favor I owed you from my past' he thought, as he knew that something life-changing will happen soon to this so-called friend of his.
*****
"This is what I'm afraid of happening" Amanda couldn't help but bitterly smile to herself as she looked at the scene happening in front of her.
In the backyard of the mansion, an unbelievable scene is happening before their eyes.
"What? You thought our prowess had regress because of our age?" Moniker laughed like a maniac as he charged towards Zero with his palm heading towards the latter's chest.
But Moniker wasn't the only one attacking him Zero, Genesis and the others are also attacking him simultaneously!
While the faces of Randy and Robin are twitching because of the pain they are experiencing right now, but they weren't a group of unreliable teammates as they are watching for an opportune moment to once again dash into the fray and attack Zero.
Zero quickly kicked Genesis on his abdomen, sending him flying, and after that, he punched Chakram's face with the back of his fist and quickly met Moniker's palm with his own right after.
Zero's movements were so fast that if left afterimages that baffled and amazed Amanda at the same time.
Bam!
Moniker's palm and Zero's palm created a small blast of wind when they collided that which allowed Moniker to suspend in the air for two seconds before he dropped down on the ground and he quickly jumped back to create some distance from Zero.
Amanda, Tony, and Miya just watched on the side as the latter two doesn't have any plans to join in on this battle between men.
"This...are you two not really gonna stop them? This will cause you guys a whole lot of trouble if others see them" Amanda finally couldn't help but say it when she saw the beautiful flowers getting destroyed because of them.
Tony and Miya looked at Amanda, then looked at each other before they started laughing.
While chuckling, Miya looked at the confused Amanda and said, "It's going to be fine. If they were really fighting for real..."
"Then bullets, grenades, knives, and RPGs would be flying everywhere by now" Tony continued what Miya was about to say.
"What you can see is just a fight between children. Did you really think that the five of them could hold their ground against Zero?"
Miya shook her head and continued, "They'd at least need the two of us to join the fray, and that is only us being able to hold our ground for a couple of minutes before getting defeated"
Amanda's eyes grew wide as she couldn't believe what she's hearing. After all, she had also witnessed how Randy easily defeated five grown men back then when they were having a house party.
And she had also heard from Michael that every single one of these people are capable of wreaking havoc in society if they were angered.
And now they are telling her that there's someone even more dangerous than all of them combined!?
"But...but" Amanda stuttered trying to say something.
"No buts, just watch" Tony quickly cut her off with a snort before she continued watching the men fight with an amused expression.
Amanda really wanted to cry right now. After all, she was the one who planted those flowers, and now they are being stepped on!
The feeling she was having right now was like she was the one actually being stepped on!
'Michael! Come back quick, you jerk!'
Meanwhile.
"Achoo!"
Michael, who was walking in the streets of Angles Kingdom and wearing a black overcoat suddenly sneezed.
'Someone must be talking bad things about me behind my back'
Michael thought as he rubbed his and continued walking along the street.
A couple of minutes later, Michael finally arrived at his destination and currently looking at it from across the street.
It was Butcher Shop, owned by a family of Eastern descent.
Ordinary people might just think of it as another regular butcher shop where they could buy meat and whatnot.
But people like Michael wouldn't think so as this place hides a deep dark secret.
'Emperor's Dominion Elite Academy' Michael thought with a grin.
This so-called academy is a place for learning of deadly arts, their students are young descendants from crime families who wish to establish a foothold in the underground world.
Of course, in the face of humongous organizations like Continental Hotel, they can only be considered as a third-grade organization, maybe even lower.
'Sometimes, love is like a deadly poison, eh?'
Michael couldn't help but sigh when he remembered something.
