Jalen did not expect Elaina to ask this question. It was indeed strange, but because Nitzan was his

Jalen smiled, nodded, and gave a simple explanation. “We’re not enemies. We may be business
partners later. Isn’t it normal to invite me?”
Jalen had a point there, but Elaina didn’t think Andrew invited him for this reason.
“Get in the car, or we’ll be late,” Jalen said to her.
Elaina took Jalen’s car and went to the hotel together.
There were quite a few guests at the banquet.
Although most of them were unfamiliar with Andrew, they had heard of Theodore. After knowing
that Andrew was Theodore’s younger brother, they accepted the invitation.
