Chapter 2773 The Plague

"Me? An Immortal King?"

Davis slowly spoke as he let out a light chuckle. However, becoming silent, he saw that many people did doubt if he was an Immortal King with his incredulous move.

'Well, it can't be helped, considering that they can't sense my cultivation unless they're using their soul sense to scan me...'

Purely using physical might, he had thwarted Gryar Zyrus and destroyed the latter's right arm with a flick of his finger. Surely, he had felt that he had overdone it a bit, but he also felt that the opportunity was hard to miss.

*Bzzz!~*

Abruptly, his aura soared, filling the entire hall as it caused the guests to become dumbfounded once again.

"Level... Seven... Immortal Stage..."

"Not... Immortal King...?"

"It can't be..."

Numerous people were shocked by the unknown challenger's display. Just where had he come from?

"Patriarch, this deceptive character is still hiding his true cultivation. I suggest checking his age." Said Gryar Zyrus as he pointed at Davis with his other arm while his injured arm began to regenerate back as though it didn't take much damage.

"You have a point."

The Zyrus Family Patriarch didn't offer a rebuttal but agreed with his family's youth, looking at a person who then activated something. Instantly, a ray of light flashed on Davis, causing him to frown. However, he stayed still, not doing anything as he let the ray of light scan him.

Quickly, a projection appeared above the platform.

[Age: Within hundred years]

"What!?"

The result instantly caused an uproar, causing the guests to look at Davis with stiff astonishment while knowing that the formation to check the age couldn't be wrong, even if Davis was hiding his bone age by taking some pills. After all, this formation traded accuracy for categorization, making it so that it was better able to put someone into an age category rather than be fooled by disguises.

"A heavenly genius...?"

Someone finally uttered, causing everyone present to be shaken. Those whose prowess could reach above five levels were called heavenly geniuses, and only one or two of them would be present within a peak power like the Zyrus Family, who owned a Prefecture.

Even the powers like the Starlight Jade Wolf Clan and the Golden Crow Clan, who possessed two or three Prefectures, possessed two or three of such heavenly geniuses in their powers until the arrival of the immortal inheritors who proved to be way more powerful because of their stasis in the Heavenly Ice Stasis Valley.

Therefore, it could be understood that their existences were very few.

Even Davis was slightly taken aback by the gaze the guests here looked at him with. He could feel plenty of respect and awe suddenly cast toward him.

'Guess the Aurora Cloud Gate's environment made me think I'm a king when in fact, I'm a deity out here...'

Davis pursed his lips, raising his hand and gesturing at Gryar Zyrus with a deep smile.

"You accused me to buy some time to heal yourself, so it's time you dropped the act and properly battle me, right?"

"You-!"

Gryar Zyrus's expression surged with anger. The moment his five fingers regenerated in his right hand, he jumped towards Davis and attacked. Darkness energy soared around him as he created numerous dark spears, charging towards Davis from every direction while attempting to pierce through his vital spots.

However, it wasn't enough as Davis didn't let his attention be diverted for a second but simply evaded each attack of darkness energy using a single movement of his body, letting the swords pass through the empty space where the target had been. Furthermore, as soon as the attack ended, a dagger was produced from the sleeve and shot back at Davis as he arrived by his side, piercing Davis's arm.

Grinning lightly, Gryar Zyrus was about to make his next move when he belatedly noticed that he didn't even put a scratch on Davis's arm, causing his scalp to turn numb when he suddenly found himself surrounded by an overwhelming pressure which caused him to cower down like a child who got scolded harshly by their parents, trying to slip away.

*Bzzz!~*

But immediately after, an emboldened fist crashed against Gryar Zyrus's back before exploding, scattering fragments of black energy everywhere and making several people flinch in illusory pain as they covered their faces in shock and fear.

That resounding sound of bones breaking and cracking echoed as clear as crystal within the inner hall, leaving everyone present petrified in horror as they saw Gryar Zyrus's body bend backward in a 'U' shape as his spine was punched and smashed to the ground.

Because the platform was made up of Immortal Emperor Grade Ores, it didn't break Gryar Zyrus but left him unconscious as a layer of darkness still covered him.

'So a Peak-Level Immortal King Grade Protective Talisman saves him from a crippling move... I guess that's alright...'

Davis took his fist back and moved away, turning to look at the Zyrus Family Patriarch.

"I wonder if someone finally recognized me."

"Mo Tian..."

The Zyrus Family Patriarch's expression became a scowl as he recalled this monstrous strength that was seen only in one individual. His declaration also caused numerous people to be stunned.

"That's right."

Davis took off his hat and threw it at the fainted Gryar Zyrus's head, making him look comical, while Davis's figure became plain to be seen, causing many people to gasp and gawk as he looked like nothing more than a young man wearing scholarly clothes with an arrogant smirk on his face but was also the characteristics of a rumored Anarchic Divergent that rattled the Zyrus Family Prefecture a few months ago.

"Ahh!~"

Instantly, a few women screamed and ran away like he was the plague.

"...!"

Following them, many guests quickly retreated to the back, dropping whatever they were munching on as they appeared to scram for their lives.

"Quick, kill him!"

"Oh no! Am I going to be infected by his irredeemable misfortune!?"

"I don't want to die! I don't want to be cursed!"

Numerous voices echoed out with worry and fear mixed in their voices as they ran to a corner as far away as possible but still refused to leave, wanting to see what went on as they turned to look back.

"Kill!"

Elder Itaer took action only to suddenly come to a stop as he saw Mo Tian take out something that appeared like a talisman, except it was seemingly interconnected with a few other talismans that shone upon the one held in his hand began to light up.

"Make another move, and I'll fucking make this concurrent Peak-Level Immortal King Grade Offensive Talismans explode."

"How!?"

Elder Itaer Zyrus gritted his teeth, knowing that his Zyrus Family people would also die if he made a move while the Zyrus Family Patriarch's expression went several notches unsightly.

"Bastard stuck them underneath the tables at the corners that no one bothered to check..."

Now that almost everyone ran to the corners, it was obvious to the Zyrus Family Patriarch that every guest who arrived here, including their own, was in immense danger. This made him furious, especially as he imagined that Mo Tian predicted that people would behave this way upon revealing his identity.

However, he raised his hand, appearing like he wanted to attack regardless.
