Kendra woke up thinking to just live independently away from her parents permanently. She drank
water and stretched her body. Larry was still sleeping. She started cooking their breakfast. She felt free
and happy for the firstime in her life.
" Larry, wake up!Dont you have class today?"Kendra asked.
"Hmm..I am still sleepy. What time is it now? Larry asked.
"It is 8 in the morning now. I cooked breakfast. Let's eat!" Kendra said.
"Jesus, I am gonna be late for my first class." Larry hurriedly said.
"Dont you want to eat. I will pack you some foods to eat and have your breakfast at your Language
School."Kendra said.
"Yes, please..I have no time right now. I will be home early. Feel at home."Larry said and kissed Kendra
on her cheek.
Larry left the boarding house rushing. Kendra was thinking what to do while she was at the boarding
house. She started to clean their room. The boarding house was so quiet. Kendra turned on the sound
of her celphone to have at least music around. She was taking a shower after cleaning their room and
suddenly the water of the shower had stopped.
"Oh my God, Whatta! No water." Kendra said to herself.
Kendra rushingly went downstairs. Kendra suprisingly saw the landlady.
"Hello, You are the landlady. right?" Kendra asked.
"Yes, How can I help you? Landlady asked.
"I was in the middle of my showering and the water on my shower has stopped." Kendra explained
"Ahh..yes, let me check and fix it if i can."Landlady said
The Landlady checked the shower and tried to fix it.
"I think it is fine now."Landlady explained.
"Really? Oh thank you. I can finish taking a bathe now."Kendra happily said.
"The handle is too loosen. You just need to tighten this up so that the water on the shower goes down.
Anyways, it is fixed now. You dont need to worry about. Anything else?" Landlady asked.
"Oh no more, thank you for your help." Kendra said.
" I better get going now. I still have to fetch my children at school. I will leave you here."Landlady said.
Kendra left alone at the boarding house. She finished showering and cleaning their room. She
suddenly slept while reading a book. She was sleeping like a log.
" Hey, Kendra..Kendra!"Larry woke her up.
"Larry you are here now. I fell asleep. Did you have your dinner?"Kendra asked.
"No not yet because we are going out for dinner." Larry said.
"I dont want to go out now. Can you just buy dinner for us?" Kendra asked.
"Okay..Wait for me here. What do you want to eat?" Larry asked.
"Anything just be sure it is delicious or else I wont be eating that."Kendra laughingly said.
An hour later, both were eating dinner together Larry asked Kendra's plan.
"What is your plan now?Larry asked.
"I dont know. It would be great to live alone than to go back to my parents house."Kendra said.
"Are they not looking for you?I think they are worried alot because you left the house without their
permission." Larry said.
"Its okay Larry. I just dont want to go back there anymore. Maybe nextweek, i will start to find my new
apartment near at my university."Kendra said.
The next morning, Kendra was surprised when she saw her father talking to Larry.
"Is Kendra here, Larry?" Kendra's father asked.
"Yes. She is here. You want to talk to her."Larry said.
"No, I dont want to bother her. I asked you to take care of her. She needs time and space. I understand
that. Anyway, I got to go now. I only wanted to know if she is fine. I am relieved. Thank you for taking
good care of my daughter." Kendra's father said.
Larry went inside of the boarding house while going upstairs she saw Kendra standing.
"How did my father find me here?"Kendra wonderedly asked.
"I dont know. He is father. Maybe he never stopped searching you until she found you."Larry explained
"Oh really? Maybe you said where I am staying." Kendra teasingly said.
"No, I never. Anyway, when are you going to be back to work again and go to university?" Larry
wonderedly asked.
"Next week?" Kendra said.
"So we have more time to .. you know.."Larry teasingly said.
"What do you mean?" Kendra asked.
" I kept asking myself if you truly love me." Larry said.
" Of course I love you."Kendra said.
"But you cant even give your whole body to me. There is a man need that you have to give."Larry
explained.
"Is that a measure of love for you?Sex?"Kendra asked.
"I dont mean like that. Its just you dont feel it." Larry said.
" Of course i can feel that but i dont know. Maybe there are a lot of things on my plate right now and if
you truly love me you can wait."Kendra said.
" How long will I wait?"Larry asked.
"Do we need to discuss this matter?"Kendra asked.
"Oh yes it should be discussed."Larry said.
"Okay, the truth is..I am not ready for sex. I am still studying. I wanted to finish my college first.I am
scared that I might get pregnant as I am still a student like you."Kendra explained.
Kendra did not want to take a risk. She herself was not ready. She felt it. She needed to finish her
college and had a great life before thinking of that matter and get pregnant.
Kendra did not even know what true love for her but she felt deep down in her heart sadness, scared,
and no excitement at all. She didnt even know if the problem was with her or to Larry. The feelings she
had for Larry was not as true happy as she supposed to be.
"Okay lets not talk about it. I understand."Larry said.
"I dont know Larry what Love for you truly is..but for me If you truly love me you can wait until I am
ready and respect my decision."Kendra explained.
"Are you questioning my love for you?"Larry said.
"No, I am just saying."Kendra said.
"Anyway, Never mind."Larry said.
Larry left Kendra and went upstairs to their room.
