Mirror Soul Chapter 21 Flight Attendant Rejection

Kendra back in her conscious mind still lying on her bed looking at the ceiling for a long time then when

she turned her head at the wall clock. " Oh my God, I forgot that today is the Job hiring for Flight

Attend. I must be in a hurry and dress up well." Kendra excitedly said to herself. She rushingly made

her bed and jumped in the shower. Kendra was so enthusiastic, and determined to get the job. No one

could ever stop Kendra until she got it. She took a taxi going to the place of hiring and when the taxi

pulled over. Kendra was really shocked of what she saw but she still wanted the job so much. She took

off the taxi and walked confidently going to recruitment agency. Almost 500 applicants were applying

for a Flight Attendant job. The agency was so small. The place was jam- packed with applicants.

Kendra was at the end of the line sweating." Hi, Ms. how long are you standing here now?"Kendra

asked still sweating because of the heat of the sun outside of the agency. The line was so long, and the

applicants could not fit in the agency. "Its an hour now. I think they will only choose 100 applicants for

the Assesment." The applicant frustratedly explained to Kendra." What?! There are so many numbers

of applicants here now and only 100 should be stepping forward for Assesment? It is really

unbelievable but I am here now. I will get it."Kendra confidently said to the applicant beside her. Almost

two hours had passed three more applicants in front of her then her turn. " Next, please." A staff from a

recruitment team said. Kendra had submitted her resume and went inside the room. They took

Kendra's height and weight. " We are going to call you if you would be in the Assesment." The recruiter

member said. Kendra was really surprised on what she heard. "Ahhh..okay! Thank you."Kendra

smilingly said to the staff of a recruitment team. Kendra was could not believe that was the only thing

she did for lining up for hours." Really?" Kendra tiredly said to herself and left the place.

Days had passed, Kendra was checking her e mail if she received a feed back from her application but

she got nothing. She was a little bit frustrated and kept waiting and waiting. 2 weeks later, Kendra then

checked again her e mail add. She was smilingly celebrated herself and said, " Oh Yes! I got into the

Assesment for tomorrow." Kendra was so excitedly preparing her business attire and all the

requirements for tomorrow.

The next day came, Kendra was so beautiful, tall confident woman with a round tied bun on her hair,

wearing a pearl earrings, full black coat and skirt. " I am ready for the assesment," she smilingly said in

the mirror and left her apartment.

For almost 500 applicants who applied the job for flight attendant and only 100 applicants had been

selected for the assesment. One of the selected candidate for 100 applicants was Kendra Clark. The

assesment were held at the 5 star hotel function room. The assesment had started. The recruitment

team members in different nationalities went inside of the function room with their flight attendant

uniform. "Wow, I am super amazed with their uniform. They look really gorgeous. I wanted to be part of

this team. This is my dream. I am going to get this job no matter what."Kendra amazingly said to

herself as her eyes were twinkled and started day dreaming again. The applicant beside her

whisperedly said, "Are you not nervous? I am so nervous. It really seems that we are candidates of

beauty contest here. I am not expecting that this is how they recruit flight attendant."Kendra looked at

the applicant beside her so nervous and uneasy, " Relax! Calm down. Can I hold your hand?" Kendra

smilingly asked the applicant beside her and when both held each others hand. Kendra felt how cold

the applicant hand. "Are you okay now?" Kendra asked. " Yes, I am okay now. Thank you. I am

Elaine."Elaine started to calm down and smilingly introduced herself to Kendra." You are welcome

Elaine. We can do it. We can make it happen." Kendra smilingly replied to Elaine. After a few hours, the

100 chosen applicants had lined up again for the heights and weights, then next part was taking

english test, the next was elimination round. All the flight attendant applicants were standing infront of

the recruitment team. "Once I mention your number please go to the left side. The numbers are 20, 30,

18, 22, 89, 90,56, 2, 7 ,10, 44, 58, 99, 9, 15, 17 ,25, 67, 48, 88, 33, 28, 77, 71, 34, 28, 26, 75, 85, 39

and for those who are not mentioned their number, you may leave the function room." The recruitment

staff said seriously. When Kendra and Elaine looked at their number. " We both chose for the next

stage." Kendra and Elaine said to each other. Both were so overwhelmed and smilingly walked to the

left side. Next stage was a group activity. They were divided by 6 groups, each had topic to be

discussed then the recruitment staff were walking back and forth observing. After an hour, the

recruitment staff member eliminated again some staffs from 100 to 30 applicants left down then now 10

were chosen for final interview. " Numbers 8, 15, 7 ,33, 48, 88, 22, 10,7 and 2 are chosen to stay for

the final interview and the rest you may leave. Thank you for your time." the recruitment staff member

said. Kendra's number was not chosen and she left the function room right away. She still didn't give

up. She applied again to the other airline company. " I am sorry but you are not qualified for this job."

The Alaska Airlines recruitment staff said same with the Hawaiian Airlines, and all the airlines in the

country even in the middle east airlines companies rejected Kendra's application." I still dont

understand. What's wrong with you Kendra Clark? Why cant you be hired in the airline company? My

favorite airline is Emirates Airline but Emirates did not accept me."Kendra frustratedly asked herself

walking down the road on her way home.
