the awning above the main entrance. The architecture symbolized the strength and power of the family.
Despite her advanced age, Charlotte insisted on giving birth to her only child, so that she could
continue with the upper family line. However, thirty-three years had passed, and the young master of
the family showed no interest in marrying. His parents were almost eighty years old. They were eager
to see him settle down and have children of their own before they passed away. The elderly couple
decided to make Ren a match.
Ren had come home that night and noticed a young woman sitting next to her mother. The young

Then Charlotte beckoned to her son and said, “Ren, come here. There is someone I would like you to
go.meet.”
