In a Cantonese restaurant, Margery held Bonnie, who was drowsy, in her arms. Ethan frowned and
followed them, and the three of them walked outside together.
Looking down and seeing her son's helpless eyes, she could not help but smile. "Bonnie is sleepy. Are
you upset that there's no one to play with you?"
"No."
Ethan pursed his lips and shook his head. He looked up and stared at Margery. His small face was
calm beyond his years. "Mommy, he did something bad. He abandoned mommy and made mommy
cry. Bonnie and I don't want him either. Unless he apologizes to mommy and keeps apologizing until
mommy forgives him."
Margery was stunned when she heard him and instantly felt weak and powerless.
Not only did her son look like Golden, but he also inherited Golden's extraordinary intelligence and
keen perception, which he showed since a young age.
No matter how much she hated Golden, it could not change the fact that he was Ethan and Bonnie's
biological father.
Bonnie was greedy and loved to make trouble. She occasionally cried while begging for her father and
asking why other children had a father while she and Ethan did not. But Ethan never asked about his
father before, let alone cause mischief like other little boys. He only quietly accompanied his crying
sister. When she was tired from crying, he would hand over a few candies to coax her and make her
smile.
Her son, who had been quiet since he was a child, made her think he did not need his father and made
her ignore his desire for him. But what he said just now made her understand that no matter how well
she took care of the children, she could not replace Golden.
Margery stared at her son, who pretended to be quiet but had a slightly expectant look on his face, and
her heart ached a little. She said in a hoarse voice, "What if mommy can never forgive him?"
"Then don't forgive him! Bonnie and I will always be with Mommy."
"Okay."
Margery's eyelashes trembled slightly. When she looked at her precocious and thoughtful son, she felt
as if she was looking at Andrew, who was thoughtful and well-behaved, from five years ago. Her eyes
burned and misted over.
Melvin paid the bill and quickly followed them. He walked beside Margery to her left and saw her
watery eyes from the corner of his eye. After a couple of seconds, he knew she must have thought of
her baby, Andrew, again. He sighed heavily and quickly changed the topic to attract her attention with
something else. "Margery, don't you find it strange? The Barrett Group doesn't have any business in
this city. Why did Golden suddenly appear in the hospital where you were getting treatment?"
"He came to see a doctor. He couldn't solve his physiological problems!"
Margery uttered. She took a breath, put Bonnie in the car, and secured her in the car seat. She looked
back to watch Ethan as he calmly and skillfully climbed into the car and nodded to compliment him.
She then got in the car as well and sat in the front passenger seat. She leaned against the window and
could not hide the cynical smile on her face. "When Vivian was in a vegetative state, he was fine. But
now that Vivian accompanies him with her soft and warm body day and night, he has trouble getting
excited and having an erection. Isn't it funny?"
"What, really?! He has a humiliating disorder. No wonder he came to such a remote city because there
aren't many people who know him here… Hahaha! Does he really have erectile dysfunction? He
deserves it! Really fucking deserves it!" Melvin burst into laughter that his stomach hurt with laughter
and almost died of joy.
Yes, he deserved it!
Margery chuckled slightly, but her eyes were extremely cold.

Back at the residence, Margery packed up her clothes and the necessary IDs according to their original
plan and took Ethan and Bonnie with her to follow Melvin and fly back to H City.
Four hours later, she got off the plane and looked at the airport that was not different from five years
ago. Her charming eyes instantly misted over but soon became calm again.
After leaving the airport, Melvin drove Margery and the two children to a community with abundant
flowers and trees in the downtown area.
"Margery, this is the place I rented for you. Take a look to see if you like it. If you don't, then I'll find a
different one for you."
Melvin opened the door with a key, carried two oversized and heavy suitcases, and went inside.
Margery held a child in each arm, which was very strenuous. As she went in, she raised her eyes and
looked around.
This was a small two-bedroom place of about sixty square metres. She liked how the interior
decorations were very warm and elegant and how the place offered peace and quiet, even though it
was surrounded by the hustle and bustle of the city.
"It's great. You don't need to look for a different place."
Margery fell in love with it at a glance. She put Ethan and Bonnie, who were still asleep, on the big bed
in the bedroom to sleep side-by-side. She pulled the quilt and carefully covered them. She then leaned
over to plant a kiss on each child's rosy cheek and left the room while rubbing her sore waist.
Melvin stood by the door and thoughtfully handed over a cup of tea.
"Thank you."
Margery slightly took the warm cup of tea that he handed over. She smiled gratefully and drank half a
cup in one gulp before sitting on the sofa. She took out a pen and paper and spoke seriously about her
next steps.
"Brother Melvin, can you buy back the hospital you sold?"
"I can buy it back, but it's not a good deal!"
Since they got down to business, Melvin stopped fooling around, and his expression became very
serious. "In the past five years, that hospital has changed hands more than a dozen times, and its price
has already increased more than ten times. There is no point in spending so much money to buy
something not worth the cost. However, there is a two-story shopping mall nearby that went bankrupt. I
can buy it at the lowest price. Have you figured out what to use it for afterward?"
Margery stared at him as he spoke with confidence and composure. His speech and behaviour were
very different from five years ago that she could not help but become absent-minded.
Five years, more than 1800 days and nights. Not only did she become unrecognizable and full of
hatred, but Melvin also became a lot steadier and was no longer the rich second generation who
indulged in alcohol, games, and women—
Margery gathered her thoughts and chuckled, "I'll continue with my old profession. Also, I decided to
add a new department."
"What department?"
Melvin frowned, and his instinct told him that it was far from good.
"Doesn't Golden have problems? I'm going to tailor a department to treat that kind of problem
specifically for him. When we build up a reputation, he would naturally come to us."
Margery narrowed her clear eyes and analyzed carefully. "Even if he doesn't come to us, Vivian will
urge him to come for treatment! Vivian loves him and has great ambitions. Her man has to be the best
in everything. She can't bear this kind of humiliation."
Melvin sat on the opposite sofa and stared at her lazily. When she talked about Golden and Vivian, it
was as if she was talking about two complete strangers. There was no expression on her face, and she
looked extremely indifferent.
He sighed quietly inside, not knowing whether to be happy or sad for her.
"Then... how do you want to build up a reputation?"
As soon as he finished asking, Melvin saw Margery's eyes light up, and the feeling of impending doom
became stronger.
Then, he watched as she put on a charming smile and said in a soft, melodious voice, "Brother Melvin,
we have you."
Damn it!
Melvin was shocked and almost swore. "Margery, don't mess around! I don't have a girlfriend because I
have high standards, not because I have erectile dysfunction!"
"Brother Melvin, you are the best. The hospital's Department of Pediatric Urology needs you. It's
decided then."
Margery smiled brightly.
