Margery only thought about how to teach Golden a lesson. She was completely unaware how beautiful
she was when she raised her eyebrows and smiled.
She had black hair, pink face, and soft red lips. Her beautiful eyes were shining. She looked proud and
attractive in the snow-white uniform.
She held the silver sharp drill in her hand, which didn't make people think she was rude, and made her
more charming.
"You threw the needle and replaced it with a sharper drill. Don't you do harm to me?"
Golden stared at her. He suddenly raised his strong arms, held Margery's thin wrist, and pulled her
closer to him. Then, he narrowed his eyes and said slowly, "Why? Have I ever offended you? Or are
you fighting for someone?"
Margery was grabbed by Golden and couldn't move. She was angry inside, but smiled more brightly on
the surface, "Mr. Barrett, you must have done a lot of bad things to think that every doctor who treats
you wants to do harm to you."
"No, only you gave me that feeling." The man looked at her and raised his eyebrows, "If you are trying
to attract my attention, then congratulations, you did."
No! She didn't try to!
Margery was really angry with his action to call white black. She violently broke free from his hands,
held back the blue veins on her temples, and sneered, "Mr. Barrett, you are handsome and rich.
Unfortunately, you are impotent. I am not stupid. Why do I attract your attention? It's not good for me."
"If I were handsome and also strong, I wouldn't have appeared in such a small, shabby hospital." The
man withdrew his palm and leisurely lit a cigarette, his eyes deep, "A friendly reminder, if you cannot
cure me, this hospital, which is not worthy of its name, must disappear."
"You...!"
Margery was so angry that she almost lost her temper. She took a deep breath before resisting the
urge to tear him apart with a knife. She licked her red lips, gritted her teeth, and said, "Mr. Barrett, didn't
you read the terms and conditions when signing the contract? A course of treatment costs three million
and will last for 10 days to half a month. This is the first day. Can you conclude that I can't cure it? Why
don't we make a bet? If I can cure you in half a month, you need to give me another 5 million and hold
a press conference to apologize to me personally."
"OK."
The man replied so quickly that Margery was caught off guard and almost choked on her own saliva,
"Mr. Barrett, you agreed?"
"Yes."
Golden nodded with a calm face. His beautiful fingers fell on the thin lips and he removed the cigarette
from his lips, exhaled the smoke, and smiled lightly, "Money and apology are all not problems, as long
as you can cure me."
With that, he dropped his cigarette butt, got up from the test chair, and walked out. When he passed by
Margery, he lowered his head slightly and whispered in her ear, "Dr. Byrne, I've seen the stimulation
today. I look forward to more unforgettable stimulation from you, okay?"
The words seem to be teasing, which annoyed Margery and made her have mixed feelings. She
subconsciously stepped back to avoid his warm breath and gentle words.
In the past, she was most eager to hear these gentle words from him!
She had tried to keep the loveless marriage for three years. Until she was desperate and her baby
Andrew died an untimely death, she still did not wait for a trace of his pity.
Now, he said these words to her, a strange woman whom he had not met several times. It was really
ridiculous.
She should have known that this man was cruel and heartless to anyone except Vivian.
Or from the beginning, she should not have fallen in love with him, nor should she humbly expect him
to have any response to her love.
Only by letting this cruel and heartless man experience being hurt by his most beloved, could he be
heartbroken and overwhelmed with sorrow!
Margery gritted her teeth, hid the pain and hatred, looked up at the man who was waiting for her
answer, and said calmly, "Don't worry. I promise to satisfy you, Mr. Barrett."
After getting a satisfactory answer, Golden turned around and left.
Staring at his receding figure and seeing that he finally disappeared into the elevator, Margery was
relieved and slid limply down the wall onto the cold tile floor for a long time, until she realized her eyes
wet.
She casually found some tissues in her pocket and was about to wipe away the tears at the corners of
her eyes when a small white hand suddenly reached over and wiped her tears with a small clean
handkerchief. As he wiped her face, Ethan asked with a cool face, "Mommy, I just saw him walk out of
here. Did he bully you again?"
"Ethan, what are you doing here?"
Looking at her son who suddenly appeared with a serious look, Margery slowly came back to her
senses and quietly waited for him to clean her face before opening her arms and hugging the little boy
in her arms, "He didn't bully me. Mommy is fine."
"Mommy have not returned for a long time. So I came to look for you." Ethan clenched his little fists and
narrowed his eyes which were as beautiful as Golden's, "Mommy, why are you crying? Don't lie to me
again that it is because of the wind. I'm not the greedy Bonnie. You can't fool me."
"Hey, you said Bonnie is greedy again. If she hears it, she must be angry with you."
Margery couldn't help but laugh out loud. She pinched Ethan's delicate face and said with a smile,
"Clever boy. But children should not care too much about adults, or you may not grow, okay?"
After that, she took Ethan's little hand and stood up from the floor. They slowly walked out while
Margery said to Ethan, "Ethan, mommy is fine. He came here to cure his illness, not to trouble me.
Don't worry."
Ethan thought to himself, "But you are crying, mommy. How can I not worry?"
Ethan looked down and quietly followed Margery out. Out of sight of Margery, his eyes were cool and
he murmured in a low voice, "Mommy, he doesn't want you and bully you. Then, I'll bully his son."

Margery led Ethan back to her office. She was almost knocked down by Zola who suddenly pounced,
"Margery, did you receive the big boss? What is he doing in our hospital? Is it because he is interested
in the future potential of our hospital and intends to merge and invest in it?"
"No, Zola, you're thinking too much."
Margery calmly pushed away Zola, who was so excited that her eyes were shining, and cruelly threw
cold water on her ideas, "He's here to see a doctor for his impotence. Are you sure you still like him?"
Zola was instantly shocked, "Margery, are you serious? You're not lying to me?"
"I don't have to lie to you."
Margery glared at her, led Ethan to Bonnie who was eating an apple, handed him an apple, and patted
the two kids' heads gently. Then, she walked to the window and called Melvin, "Melvin, are you free to
come to the hospital now? I have an urgent matter to discuss with you!"
