Vivian did not sleep peacefully. She pretended to sleep when she heard Golden entering the room, and

kept her hands in the position of covering Layne with a quilt.

At this moment, she felt that he put his clothes on her shoulders, and she felt sweet, pretending to be

awakened and looked up at him tenderly. "Golden, you have finished your work? Have you had

dinner?"

She was always gentle and elegant in front of him, and always maintained a perfect look.

Golden stared into her gentle face and said slowly, "Layne's sleeping. Let's go out and talk."

If Margery is the Margery five years ago, there was something he must get rid of as soon as possible!

Vivian was slightly stunned. She did not know why Golden was anxious to talk to her. Her intuition told

her that it was not something good, but in order to maintain her gentle image, she walked out of the

ward with Golden.

In a quiet corner of the corridor.

With narrowed eyes and long fingers holding a freshly lit cigarette, Golden's handsome silhouette was

shrouded in smoke. He was more and more charming and fascinated numerous women.

Touching his perfect face, Vivian's heart beat faster. "Golden, what do you want to talk about?"

Was he going to talk what she was most willing to hear?

For five years, she had taken care of Layne with all her heart, including what she had pretended to do

just now.

He was so touched by her gentleness that he finally decided to marry her and let her be Mrs. Barrett?

Thinking of this, Vivian raised her soft face, filled with joy.

The next second, what the man said also sent her into the abyss, while the joy was still on her face.

She heard him say, in a low, cruel voice, "Vivian, from tomorrow on, please leave me!"

It was totally different from what she had in mind.

It was more than she could imagine and more than she could bear.

Vivian felt as if she had been stabbed in the heart, overwhelmed by the pain.

She shook her head in disbelief. "Golden, what did you say? I'm sorry. What did you just say? I didn't

catch you. I beg your pardon?"

Golden frowned and patiently repeated, "Vivian, from tomorrow on, please leave me!"

Vivian could not stand it any longer and flung herself into his arms, her lips trembling and tears

streaming down her face.

"Why? Golden, why do you want me to go?"

Seeing that she was so sad and couldn't accept it, Golden sighed softly with a cigarette in his hand and

said, "My disease is incurable. I should not delay you for a lifetime."

"No! I won't go. I won't leave you!"

Vivian raised her eyes and looked at him with tears in her eyes. "Golden, I love you. I fell in love with

you ever when you put that piece of jade on my neck by the lake in the park twenty-five years ago. I

love no one but you, and now you ask me to leave you. It's killing me."

Her affectionate sobbing made Golden's heart ache.

After a few seconds, he closed his eyes, collected his sense, and then said, "It's been five years. I have

tried all the methods to cure my disease, but failed. Because you love me, I can't hurt you for selfish

gains."

"No, it isn't! Golden, it won't hurt me to stay with you! To push me away from you and never have you

again is what really hurts me. Golden, I can't live without you, and I can't lose you! I have loved you for

more than twenty years. I can't let you go. Will you stop talking about it? My heart is aching, and I feel

painful!"

Vivian blinked her eyes and tears flowed out, but she smiled softly at the man. "Golden, haven't you

started your treatment now? Maybe Dr. Byrne at Bok Hospital can cure it? Please, don't ask me to

leave you so soon."

"You know who I am. When I make up my mind, I won't change it! I will give you half a month to accept

it."

Golden felt a little sad when he saw she was crying her heart out, but soon, he collected his sense.

Quick decision was the best way to deal with the matter.

Vivian's heart trembled. She realized that he was determined to let her go, but she didn't know why.

She was mad inside, but still with a smile on her face. She changed the subject, "Golden, I'm hungry,

can you have breakfast with me first? Let's talk about that later."

"Well." Golden nodded. Considering that she had taken good care of Layne over the years, he wasn't

going to push her too hard.

He turned and went back to the ward, found a nurse to take care of Layne, and then went out with

Vivian.

Vivian followed the cold man out, and the smile on her lips gradually faded into a sullen sneer.

After Margery's death, he had tacitly acknowledged her existence for Layne's sake for the past five

years.

Except that he had no feeling for her and didn't sleep with her, he treated her with the same affection

as before.

He also turned a blind eye to her occasional impersonation of Mrs. Barrett.

When, then, did he decide to let her go?

Vivian frowned thoughtfully.

After thinking about it, it occurred to her that the only woman Golden had been in contact with during

this period was Dr. Byrne from Bok Hospital.

After five years of estranging from any woman, he was enchanted by Dr. Byrne after receiving

treatment in the Bok Hospital. He was even so captivated by her that he told her to leave.

It was Dr. Byrne who should be to blame for what had happened.

Why?

Why did the woman do that, forcing Golden to break up with her?

Vivian was shaking with anger.

***

In an elegant restaurant.

Golden found the quietest place, ordered shrimp soup buns, tuna sandwiches, crystal dumplings, and

other delicate snacks that Vivian loved. He took his time to accompany her.

Looking at the beautifully colored breakfasts, Vivian felt painful again. "Golden, I will think about what

you have said. You give me only half a month to accept it. When the time comes, I can no longer

accompany you. Thinking of leaving you, I feel my heart ache. Would you give me one last kiss before

you leave? Just as the... the last affection!"

Golden narrowed his eyes and stared at her gaunt, pale but still beautiful face. He did not nod or

refuse.

Just when Vivian's red lips were about to touch his, Golden suddenly remembered Margery's hand

slapping him hard. He suddenly shook and turned his face away from her lips.

The missing kiss left Vivian lost, but not disappointed.

When he was not paying attention, she had fixed the phone in the best position to take the picture.

The angles were pretty tricky.

It looked like they were kissing each other affectionately.,

With these photos and videos in hand, it was enough for Dr. Byrne to realize the

reality!
