53 Enjoy It Yourself, Trash
Su Ying found a pool of spring water on a hillock. When she looked around and saw that there was no one around, she used a pipe to channel as much spring water as possible into her interspatial store. After the apocalypse, clean water was also very scarce, so she didn’t have much water stored in her interspatial store.
After she had filled all the containers in her interspatial store, she washed her face and rinsed her mouth downstream of the spring water. She felt much more refreshed after she had washed herself clean.
Su Ying then took out a lifeform-detection device and set it up on the hill to see if there were any wild animals around. However, after the device completed one scan, it found nothing except two wild hares.
Su Ying skinned the wild hares and cleaned up the bodies before returning to the foot of the hill.
By then, the sky had already darkened, and the officials were distributing dry food.
“Uncle Hea, I caught two wild hares. Let’s eat them tonight.”
Every time Su Ying entered the mountains, she almost always came back with something. Hea Shouyi was already used to it.
“Alright. I’ll make you guys stir-fried rabbit meat in soy sauce tonight.”
Su Ying licked her lips and couldn’t wait to taste it.
When she was about to take a break and wait for her meal, Lin Zhuyu hid behind her in a furtive manner again. “Mistress, Mistress, I found him. I found him. The person who attacked me last night.”
Su Ying’s sharp eyes quickly scanned the surroundings before asking casually, “Where is he?”
“He… he’s among that group of people. That… that man sitting in the middle with a scar at the corner of his eye. That’s him! That’s him! Mistress, don’t look at him. Don’t… don’t…” Lin Zhuyu didn’t even dare to raise her head when she reached the end of her sentence.
Su Ying scanned the crowd’s faces without anyone noticing her action. One man was sitting in the middle of that group of criminals. He seemed to have felt Su Ying’s gaze and abruptly raised his head to look toward Su Ying.
Su Ying didn’t avoid his gaze and returned his gaze icily.
It was a pair of eyes that resembled a venomous viper. They appeared sharp and fierce and emanated a sense of sinister chilliness. Anyone on the receiving end of such a gaze invariably felt very uncomfortable.
The man didn’t expect Su Ying to stare back at him for such a long time, and he suddenly burst out in creepy, sinister laughter.
That laughter made the hair of everyone in the quiet group stand on end.
Lin Zhuyu was so frightened by the voice that she trembled all over. She almost buried herself into Su Ying’s back.
“Mistress, he… he’s so scary. He’s really scary…”
Su Ying took a sip of water from her water bag. “Follow me closely these few days. Don’t wander around.”
“Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.”
After dinner, Su Ying carried the two little ones together with Lin Sheng to the carriage to sleep, while Xiao Jin stayed in the carriage to watch over them.
After Su Ying put the children to bed, she sat down next to Xiao Jin.
“Do you know who are those people who joined us later?”
Xiao Jin glanced at those people through the fluttering curtains that had been blown aside by the wind. “I’m not sure who they are.”
“Lin Zhuyu said that the person who attacked her was among these people.”
Xiao Jin frowned slightly. “You stay away from them.”
Su Ying mumbled a nonchalant reply. Of course, she wouldn’t provoke these people on her own accord for no reason, but if they offended her, her fists wouldn’t be so merciful either.
“Their steps are steady when they walk, but their bodies are very nimble. It’s impossible to achieve this without a high-level fleet-footed skill.”
Su Ying lay down beside Xiao Jin and crossed her legs. “Martial arts experts?”
Xiao Jin’s expression was grim as he nodded. “All of them.”
“No wonder they are all chained up. They are making a mere few officials escort such a dangerous group of criminals. This is really interesting. I’m going to sleep. Wake me if you need anything.” Su Ying rolled over and closed her eyes.
“Mm-hmm.” Xiao Jin couldn’t sleep, so he asked Jiang Yang to keep a close eye on those people during the night watch.
In the night, Su Ying was roused from her sleepy stupor by an uncomfortable swelling in her stomach. She had no choice but to get up. She took a look at the children and Xiao Jin sleeping soundly before silently jumping off the carriage.
To her surprise, the moment she moved, Xiao Jin woke up.
“Where are you going?”
“Answer nature’s call.”
Xiao Jin propped himself up and looked at the dark, quiet night. “Go and come back quickly. Be careful.”
Su Ying nodded and walked to a spot far away.
Even though the surrounding was pitch-black, Su Ying still found a discreet spot. After she settled her business, she suddenly heard a slight movement in front of her.
She stood still, watching the surroundings warily.
The person hiding in the dark didn’t expect Su Ying to stop in her tracks completely. He couldn’t contain himself anymore and walked out from under a big tree.
Under the dim moonlight, Su Ying could clearly see the scar at the corner of his eye. He was the man Lin Zhuyu had mentioned earlier.
The man dragged the chains and inched closer to Su Ying.
Su Ying didn’t hide herself but stood there, waiting for him.
Su Ying’s reaction surprised the man somewhat, but he quickly regained his chilly, sinister composure. He stopped three steps away from Su Ying and started to undo his belt. Then, he took off his pants in front of Su Ying and beckoned to her with one finger. “I’ll let you have a taste of me tonight.”
Su Ying glanced at his crotch icily and gave a scornful snort.
Her contemptuous laughter caused the man’s expression to change, and he instantly attacked Su Ying with a ferocious look on his face.
Su Ying dodged nimbly and avoided the man’s grasp easily when he clawed at her.
The man grew even angrier when he found that he missed. His movements then became much faster than before.
Su Ying’s almond-shaped eyes narrowed, and she dodged even faster in response. However, she didn’t fight back. She simply stared at the man and dodged nimbly just when the man was about to reach her.
After about fifteen minutes, the man seemed to have lost his patience. He broke the chains on his hands and feet and pounced madly on Su Ying like a hyena.
In the end, Su Ying was forced to the edge of a hill.
The pale moonlight shone on the man’s determined face, making him look particularly sinister. The thing that was swinging madly at his crotch also became erect as he approached Su Ying.
“Beauty, there’s no escape for you. Hehehehe…”
Su Ying lowered her eyes, and when she raised them again, her eyes were tinged with bloodthirsty flames. “Martial arts expert? So that’s all you are capable of.” She quickly and accurately punched his nose violently.
Her move was so fast that the man could not even react.
The man’s eyes turned bloodshot with anger after being punched. He roared and attacked again.
However, Su Ying didn’t dodge this time. She intercepted his attack head-on. When their fists collided mid-way, the man only heard a crack, and his whole hand flew behind him in an odd posture.
Su Ying didn’t give him a chance to catch his breath. She quickly darted behind him and kicked his knee, making him collapse to the ground on his knees. She then grabbed his neck and pressed his whole face down to his crotch. “Trash, enjoy it yourself!”
“Argh!”
The man struggled with all his might, but he couldn’t break free from Su Ying’s grip.
Su Ying slowly released her grip and stared at the man who didn’t get up from the ground for a long time. “Tell those people if they dare to have any wicked thoughts about me and my people, I’ll make them eat themselves,” she said icily.
