steering her to take a seat on his lap.
She snuggled in his arms and spoke dejectedly, “I get your point, but I still can’t shake away the
uncomfortable feeling. I don’t understand this. I’ve forgiven her for the things she did in the past, but
why did she curse our child so cruelly? Earlier on at the hospital, I thought of just leaving her on her
own device and not caring about her anymore.”
“Since that’s the case, we should just leave her alone from now on. We’ve arranged for someone to
care for her, so you don’t need to go to the hospital anymore.” Nicholas coaxed her.
Tessa nodded in response. After today’s incident, she no longer wanted to deal with Amber. At the sight
of his low-spirited wife, Nicholas decided to stay home.
At noon, Gregory came downstairs after his lesson and heard from Nicholas that Tessa was unhappy.
“Daddy, who made Mommy upset?”
