Chapter 1195 Rejection
"It's not easy for me to say this, but things have escalated to this point. I'm concerned about your
grandma's health. I don't want to see her upset and make her condition worse. I'm very worried after
the last incident."
"I appreciate your concern. Please go on," Elisa trusted him and knew how nervous he was that day.
After all, she had seen for herself over the years how much he cared for Julia.
Finally, my Darren divulged, "I hope you and Garry can get back together..."
Elisa's eyes widened in surprise.

Even Gareth, sitting in the driver's seat, had a subtle change in his expression. But he didn't say
anything, directing his gaze towards Elisa's phone.
Before she could collect her thoughts, Darren said, "I regret ever standing in the way of you and Garry.
Looking back, I realize how wrong I was. I was so foolish to even try to match Linda to Garry. Please
don't make the same mistakes I did, Liz. A couple should always stay loyal to their original partner, no
matter what."
Elisa slowly regained her composure and stared at her phone in disbelief. She had never expected
Darren to say this, especially considering his past contempt for her and his strong objection to her
being a part of the Wickam family. Everyone knew that.

Gareth and return to the Wickam family. It was a stunning revelation.
"You..." Before Elisa could finish her words, Darren quickly chimed in, lest Elisa refuses, "Liz, I know
you've been through a lot, but I'm sincerely hoping you'll come back and give Gareth another chance.
Not just for the sake of your grandmother's health but my wish to see the both of you get back together
again."
His intentions were clear. He wanted Elisa to reconcile with Gareth, partly to ease Julia's condition and
partly because he genuinely wished the two to be together again. But he didn't know if his hope would
come to pass.

Darren tightly clutched his phone. Even though he wasn't physically present with Elisa, his hopes were
evident in his eyes. His slightly parted lips were a sign of his anticipation. Gareth sat quietly by the side,
seemingly uninterested in the conversation. Elisa answered the phone call on her own.
Unknown to him, his attitude towards the situation had changed from indifference to rapt attention. He
unconsciously checked Elisa's phone, trying to read their emotions.
As Darren and Gareth waited in anticipation, Elisa spoke slowly, "I'm afraid it's not possible."
Elisa's rejection hit like a cold shower, chilling the atmosphere in the car. Even Elisa could feel that
something was amiss.
Darren took a deep breath, clearly surprised by her response.
He couldn't understand why Elisa refused his plea to get back with
Gareth so bluntly and resolutely, considering that she supposedly had feelings for Gareth.
