.
Nicole hesitated for a split second before looking at Logan and instructing, ”Order a few more servings
for everyone and send them to the crew. Everyone has a share!”
Everyone cheered happily.
They were actually able to eat dessert from a Michelin restaurant?
To the side, Julie let out a sigh. Nicole really was a fool with money.
Nicole did not see those actresses until they left the set. They were probably deliberately avoiding them.
However, it did not matter.
Since Julie had her own plans, she would leave the rest for Julie to handle.
Nicole returned to her apartment at night and felt slightly tired.
She took a bath and came out after changing her clothes. She was just in time to hear the call from
Clayton.
Nicole paused and picked up.
”According to the time difference, it should be 2:00 am over there. Aren’t you sleeping yet?”
Clayton chuckled in a low voice. His tone carried tiredness that could not be concealed.
”I just took time out. I’m afraid I won’t be able to rest well if I don’t hear your voice for one day.”
Nicole’s face flushed. Clayton’s bluntness was a little overwhelming. She paused and sat on the sofa
before speaking slowly.
“Mr. Sloan, you’ve changed. You’re different from the Clayton Sloan I used to know!” Clayton’s voice was
light and gentle. “Do you like it? I only act like this in front of the person I like. Can you get used to it?”
Through the phone, she could feel that Clayton’s eyes must be looking into the distance gently. He
carried her in his heart.
That feeling of being tucked away in someone’s heart was wonderful and indescribable. Nicole calmed
down and took a deep breath.
“I can.”
What she wanted to say was, this Clayton Sloan seemed much more human-like than the Clayton Sloan
she used to know. This kind of feeling was very nice and warm. Of course, Nicole could get used to it.
Clayton was silent for a few seconds, and Nicole’s heart raced.
“Is everything going well over there?” “Yup, everything’s going smoothly.”
Clayton paused. His tone became slightly lighter.
“Nicole, when this project is finished, I want to move my business in Liberty to Mediania. What do you
think?”
Nicole’s heart skipped a beat and accelerated involuntarily.
It was not that she did not understand what Clayton’s words were implying. However, she still
subconsciously asked, “Why?” The development in Liberty was always far ahead. Although the
development speed in Mediania was not slow, when it came to stocks and investments, Liberty had
always stood at the top of the pyramid. Everyone wanted to get into Wall Street, but Clayton actually
wanted to pull out.
