Carol spoke perfunctorily as she worked.
“I know, I know. I wonder if tigers eat sweet food?”
“Tigers are carnivores and hunt for their prey. There’s no refined sucrose in the natural environment
where they live, and the sugar needed by their bodies will be absorbed from plants and animals…”
Tigger was very happy to give Carol a science lesson.
Carol interrupted it helplessly. “Tigger, play me a song. I need background music to get into the groove!”
Tigger huffed reluctantly. It was enjoying the process of conversation with humans.
Nicole watched Tigger for a while and could not help but smile. She knocked on the door.
“Tigger, have you found your new hobby?”
At the sound of Nicole’s voice, Tigger excitedly jumped down from the high stool and pounced on
Nicole’s body to act spoiled.
“Mama—”
Nicole laughed and stroked the tiger’s soft and comfy fur.
Several maids hurried Iy put down the work in their hands and looked at Nicole expectantly. “What brings
you here, Miss?”
Nicole smiled. “I’m here for Tigger. You guys carry on…” Then, she carried Tigger out. The remaining
servants breathed a sigh of relief. Looking at her back, they could not help but speak.
“The Young Lady has such a good character. I’ve worked for several rich families before, but they all rely
on the little wealth they have to flaunt their power. They also boss us around. But Ms. Stanton even
personally came to the kitchen. She’s really different!” Carol smiled. “That’s right. I’ve been here for five
to six years. I’ve never seen Ms. Stanton say a harsh word to us before. Look at the butler. He always
has a sullen face, but the moment Ms. Stanton is mentioned, he’s full of praise for her…” “I heard that
Ms. Stanton broke up with the President of Ferguson Corporation. Is that true?” A newcomer inquired.
Carol put down the things in her hand and gave the newcomer a wary look.
“Didn’t the butler tell you not to pry around the master’s business before you came here?”
The maid mumbled, knowing that she said the wrong thing. “I was just asking. I’m not that curious.”
Carol rolled her eyes and lowered her head to continue doing her business.
Nicole carried Tigger into the room, found Molly’s number, and dialed it. It rang a few times. Nicole was
very nervous as she listened. Finally, the call was picked up.
Nicole sighed in relief. ’Luckily, Molly didn’t block me!’
“Nikki? Is something wrong?”
Molly sounded weak and dispirited.
Nicole immediately said, “Molly, Tigger has been a bit insane recently. I want you to take a look at it for
me. Can we meet up tomorrow?”
