Chapter 436: Come with Us Miss Yiling

At lunchtime, An Yang followed Jian Yiling and Hu Jiaojiao.

An Yang said that the reason for this was because the school was too crowded. He didn’t want strange people to come up to Jian Yiling and harass her. And thus, he had to be close to Jian Yiling to protect her.

If it wasn’t for the fact that Jian Yiling didn’t like being with a huge group of people, An Yang would have brought his lackeys along as well.

The effect of An Yang standing next to Jian Yiling was rather good. When people saw An Yang, they were too afraid to come up to Jian Yiling to ask for an autograph. With An Yang there, they would definitely not harass Jian Yiling in any way.

Jian Yiling, Hu Jiaojiao, and An Yang sat down in a corner of the school cafeteria. Suddenly, a few well-dressed men suddenly came in and sat down around them. Their movements were nimble and quickly surrounded Jian Yiling and the others.

They blocked Jian Yiling’s way out.

One of the men sat down directly opposite Jian Yiling.

As soon as the man sat down, An Yang realized that something was wrong.

An Yang immediately got up and asked the men: “Who are you? What do you want?”

The men ignored An Yang. They didn’t care that he was acting aggressively. Instead, they looked at Jian Yiling intently.

“We’re here to ask Miss Yiling to come with us.”

The person who spoke was the middle-aged man who sat across from Jian Yiling. He had an ordinary face.

However, the man looked well-trained. Despite his face, he did not seem like an ordinary person.

“Why do you want me to come with you?” Jian Yiling asked calmly. Her voice was quiet.

“There’s no need to beat around the bush. We already know your identity,” the middle-aged man said with great certainty.

All of a sudden, Jian Yiling remembered the phone call that Luo Xiuen had made to her. She recalled that the research institution’s staff database had been accessed by intruders.

From the man’s words, it was probably their work.

If these people were able to infiltrate the Institution without leaving any traces, their ability could not be estimated. This was something that ordinary people could not manage.

“And what if I refuse?”

“Then, we may have to apologize to you later.”

Upon hearing this, An Yang was furious. “What do you mean? Are you going to use force if she doesn’t agree to come with you?”

An Yang’s anger was brewing. Just as he made a move, the man next to him put him back in his seat.

However, An Yang refused to give in. He started to struggle.

As he struggled to stand up, the man who was holding him down used more force.

An Yang could not get out of the man’s grasp. As he tried, it appeared as though the veins in his neck were about to pop.

“Don’t touch him. It’s me you’re looking for,” Jian Yiling said with a stern tone. Her voice was soft but it still had strength in it.

“Please don’t worry. As long as you agree to cooperate with us, we promise not to hurt your friend,” the middle-aged man responded with a smile on his face. “You wouldn’t want your two friends to be hurt either, would you? You’re a smart person. You should know what to do.”

They had been following Jian Yiling for a long time.

From Hengyuan City to Tonghai City and back to Hengyuan City again.

Today, they had finally found a good time to strike.

Before that, Jian Yiling had been with a group of very powerful people. Back then, they didn’t dare to make any rash moves.

They didn’t dare to mess with those people.

However, if it was just the Jian family, they could deal with them.

“What do you want me to do?” Jian Yiling asked. Her tone of voice was still very calm.

“I’m not meant to tell you what I want you to do. But you’ll find out when you leave with us,” the middle-aged man said. “In fact, Miss Yiling, you should know that I’m only being patient right now because I don’t want to cause a fuss. We don’t want to force you to come with us until we have to.”
