Chapter 566: An Yang’s Wife

Hu Jiaojiao carried the packed lunch box into the classroom. This was the classroom where An Yang had just attended class.

There were no fixed classrooms in university. Students had different classes at different times. And thus, the classroom was currently empty.

Hu Jiaojiao started to unpack the lunch box. She quietly replied to An Yang’s words. Her voice sounded soft and weak: “Yiling told me to take care of you. I need to do this well.”

By speaking and acting meekly, Hu Jiaojiao really lived up the nickname that An Yang’s roommates gave her.

“It’s okay. I’ll tell Yiling later on. You don’t have to come over to visit me,” An Yang said quickly.

Upon hearing this, Hu Jiaojiao was suddenly annoyed. She said: “Oh? You don’t want to see me?”

As she was annoyed, Hu Jiaojiao’s words were considerably louder than usual. However, she was not scary or imposing at all. Furthermore, the expression on her face made it seem like she was wronged.

“No… I didn’t mean it that way…” An Yang hurriedly explained.

“Then, what do you mean? Do you want Mo Shiyun to come over and take care of you?” Hu Jiaojiao suddenly commented.

“No. Don’t be ridiculous.”

That was many years ago. Why did Hu Jiaojiao suddenly mention such a thing?

Hu Jiaojiao looked at An Yang before she huffed: “Well, who knows?”

Back then, everyone in Shenghua High School knew that An Yang was pursuing Mo Shiyun’s love. He made a big deal out of it.

“What are you babbling on about?” An Yang cried out. As he was slightly annoyed, An Yang raised his voice.

As An Yang’s voice was loud already, it was quite scary when he raised his voice. In addition, he was usually crazy and unpredictable.

And thus, when Hu Jiaojiao heard An Yang’s roar, her eyes began to become red.

“What… Why… Why are you crying?” An Yang said with a shocked voice. His voice immediately softened.

He wasn’t trying to scare her. It was just a habit of his.

However, Hu Jiaojiao’s tears were spinning in her eyes.

“Don’t… Don’t cry… Ahhh… I… I’m wrong…”

When it came to such a situation, An Yang decided to quickly admit his mistake. However, he did not know what he did wrong.

“What did you do wrong?” Hu Jiaojiao asked as she glared at An Yang.

“I… I don’t know,” An Yang replied quietly. He did not know what he did to make Hu Jiaojiao upset. “Either way, Mo Shiyun’s matters have nothing to do with me now. Those things happened like eight hundred years ago.”

“But… But you still don’t want me to visit you…”

“I don’t want you to exhaust yourself. You need to study,” An Yang explained.

Upon hearing this explanation, Hu Jiaojiao raised her head. She looked at An Yang with burning eyes.

An Yang’s heart began to beat faster: “Then… Were you… Were you angry because you thought I didn’t like you visiting me?”

Hu Jiaojiao pouted before she turned her face away.

She did not deny nor accept.

All of a sudden, An Yang realized something.

“Pepper, do you like me as well?”

Hu Jiaojiao gasped: “Who would like you? And what do you mean by as well? Who confessed to you?”

“No no. I don’t mean it that way. No one else likes me. I just… I just… It’s me. I like you.”

An Yang hurriedly explained. However, as he was incredibly nervous, he started to stammer over his words.

Upon hearing this, Hu Jiaojiao was completely dumbfounded.

Then, she lowered her head.

An Yang was desperate to hear Hu Jiaojiao’s answer. He paused for a moment before he asked: “Then… Then do you like me as well?”

The two of them got to know each other because of Jian Yiling. By now, they’ve known each other for three years.

However, Hu Jiaojiao did not lift her head. She did not make a sound to deny his question either.

Suddenly, An Yang realized something else.

“Pepper,” he called out.

Then, he lowered his head and kissed Hu Jiaojiao.

Although it was his first time kissing a girl, it was as though such an action was built into his instincts.

Soon after, the two of them broke apart.

However, both their faces were as red as cooked crabs.
